Armbrust Plumbing has been our go-to plumber since my Mom moved to Wheaton in 1988. I think she's seen every one of the brothers, uncles and dads on their team! Armbrust is known for their quick, effective solutions to thorny problems, and their prices are always fair and far less than you'd expect to pay for such excellent service! Patrick came this time, and solved a difficult problem with a powder room toilet that burped every time another toilet flushed. Tom did an excellent job and he exceeded our expectations.
We had moved into a new home and had multiple issues that needed either repair, rework and/or replacement. Tom kept us advised on each step of his work and obtained our input along the way, to make sure that everything ended up functioning/positioned in a manner that would work for us.
He also provided a few tips and tricks for less problematic future plumbing experiences.

For several years we had plumbing problems and we would rent a router to clean out our sewage pipes. We decided to bite the bullet and take care of the matter once and for all. We obtained several quotes from many companies and we chose Armbrust. Not only was their price very competitive, but they were very professional and thorough. There is nothing better than getting an honest analysis of your air conditioning issue, particularly when it is, "There is nothing wrong with your system." First, the Armbrust folks came out on a weekday within a couple hours of my call...astounding!
Then Adam C was quick to diagnose the issue (which was fairly major) and relieve the immediate pain point while giving me several reasonable options to choose from going forward.
He came back to do the repair perfectly on time after calling ahead and fixed my broken main sewer line quicker, neater and less expensive than estimated. The repair for the Kohler generator started out as a relatively simple battery replacement, but became complicated when the controller board was also found to be defective. Patrick successfully navigated obtaining, replacing, and programming options for the warrantied parts. This was further complicated when it was found that the Kohler software used to option the unit was not 100% functional. Patrick navigated this vendor issue skillfully, explaining all parts of the issue in a clear and concise manner. His professionalism and competence kept the repair process on track. 08/31/16 |

Our water heater broke (it was nearly 18 years old), so we turned to Armbrust to take care of us once again. They were able to find an opening quickly so we didn't have to wait too long to get hot water back. Alan C came and replaced our water heater, and he also replaced our laundry tub. In replacing the water heater, he had to fix the incorrect way the venting was done and also reroute the pipes to make them work with the larger size of the new water heater. He did an excellent job, and everything is now properly up to code. Alan C also had to make adjustments to the pipes to the laundry tub, and he installed a new top-mount faucet like our previous tub had. He rerouted the knobs to the washing machine lines so they are installed correctly (the ones on there before were a bit precarious) and facing a direction that we can more easily get at. Alan C did an amazing job of making that space look great, and he did it in less time than I expected. He is knowledgeable in all areas of plumbing, always very professional, and does the job efficiently and well. He looks at all the options to make sure the way he is rerouting the pipes makes the most sense for the space. Patrick A. came to our house to install two toilets, fix a leaky faucet, and to replace valves on the water meter, as well as to install a new meter. He was fantastic! Very professional and got right down to work. He answered all my questions thoroughly and cleaned up as he went along. He was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. I think the service call is on the high end so adding the extra $14 fuel charge seems excessive especially since I was located close by. I would suggest you have a mileage limit and if someone is out of the area, add $14; otherwise, this seems excessive.

I can't think of a time that I have been more satisfied with work done on our home. John did a great job laying out our alternatives in an understandable way. He thoroughly explained matters, showing us why our current system was not only faulty but dangerous (holes in the vent for the hot water heater.) We made the decision and that is when it got even better. Dave showed up to install the furnace and A/C. He was not only considerate but patient and kind as he tore out our old furnace and A/C unit; then installed new versions. I felt like I was a real priority with him whenever I asked a question.
