I had some concerns about a slight diesel exhaust smell in my house.. thought it could of been from my heating oil unit. Ed came out.. shortly after I called.. checked things out... and found that an exhaust fan in the attic wasn't working properly. There aren't enough good things to say about Woolley. Their people are the best!! They are skilled, they are competent and most of all HONEST! My basement almost had a major disaster, having the already ancient hot water heater leak. Art D called his team, Dave showed up a short time later & 3 hours later it is fixed. The basement is clean of any residual debris after their work & everything was explained to me in a way I could understand. I am CONFIDENT the job was done right. What's nice is, the people who show up are people you know you will see in your home the next time you need routine service, so when they show up should you have an issue, it's not some guy you don't know trying to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge. Art was very friendly and courteous. In addition to doing a complete inspection of my furnace and AC he identified the source of the whistle I heard and knew how to fix it. He offered a lot of additional advice and suggestions to keep my system running well and told me what to watch for in the summer in terms of keeping my AC unit clear of mulch etc... New to the area and homeownership, we took our time reviewing the service, pricing, and contracts of five companies. The difference came down to this: The others who did not get our service were either: A) 3x the price for the same scope, B) An hour late with no call, C) 3 weeks for a quote that was difficult to read and 2 weeks to review the quote. With Woolley, we discovered a company infrastructure with a human voice. When the weather is sub-zero and many people are without heat, it may be difficult to schedule a routine call, and that's because they are giving those in need their undivided attention. Take a close look at their pricing, and a close look at their service contract, then witness their handy work; it is thoughtful and smart. We've had routine maintenance, installations, upgrades, complex quotes, and emergencies; all handled professionally in a timely manner, with a fair amount of "above and beyond the call of duty" thrown in for good measure. I am visiting my elderly parents this week and found the heat out in their home after being away for the day.
Wooley was very responsive and sent Art D. out to resolve the problem at my parents house. I've owned a home in the Boston area for 30 years and found Art D. from Wooley to be more qualified (and personable) than anyone who has been sent to my home in Boston during all my years of home ownership.
My parents system is large and complex and Art D. spent time to clearly explain what he thought the problem was, how he was going to confirm his suspicions, and then went about fixing the problem. When he discovered that he didn't have a critical part in his truck, he called Wooley and advocated for my parents and got the missing part delivered within an hour.
After getting the heating system back on-line, Art D. took me back down to the basement and showed me exactly what had been replaced and how to monitor its health going forward.

The Better Business Bureau site, based on the questions I saw, will give a muddled and confusing impression of my experience. Art D performed an annual maintence of my boiler. He arrived at the scheduled time and completed the tune up in about 30 minutes.
Art pointed out that boiler was not working optimally because of dust buildup. He showed me what to do to keep the area dust free and to prevent a loss of service.
