Art and Chris were fantastic. They were scheduled for the annual maintenance on our boiler and everything went so smoothly. One of our pumps had stopped working and wasn't feeding heat to a zone in the house. When they arrived, they reviewed our heating system, they explained all the options thoroughly and completed their work efficiently. It was a great experience. They were even extremely friendly and our entire family had an enjoyable time talking with them.

Lived in South Orange for two years now and used another company for heating and cooling issues that I found through Angie's List. Service response from them was good but I always felt like they were ripping me off so when I had a furnace issue I did a bit of searching and came across Woolley. Decided to give them a try because they had great reviews and are local. Couldn't be happier. Worked with me to get a convenient appointment, showed up very close to promised time, diagnosed the problem quickly and the charges were great compared to the last company. On top of that, the technician Ed was just a great down to earth guy. Covered up the other business card on my furnace with theirs. Will definitely use in the future.

We have been customers of Woolley Fuel Company for many years and have always been impressed with their dedication to serving their customers and prompt response. Recently one of their employees, Ed P., came to take care of a heating issue we were experiencing. Ed arrived on time, was quick to diagnose the problem, replaced a needed part and installed a new thermostat which has made it much easier to regulate the heat in one of our 5 zones. We can highly recommend Woolley.

He was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful, and he gave us clear instructions concerning how we should keep our boiler and heating system in good operating condition. We just had our old boiler replaced with a new one and also installed a Roth oil tank inside. The Woolley staff from the office personnel and Dave our adviser on the system to buy to the installers were very professional. Ed P and David B and Chris J showed up on time and started disassembling the old system while starting the install of the new tank. By the end of the first day the old system was out and the new boiler and tank was installed. The next day all was completed by midday. Ed P show me how to use the thermostat. They cleaned up all the areas and left us with a new running system for years to come. David B install the old unit 24 years ago. I would like to thank Woolley whole staff from the ladies in the office to our workmen Ed P ,David B Chris J and Dave for their help with this upgrade. Than you for the cookies.

Joe was professional, courteous and efficient. He arrived punctually and worked sedulously. I feel bad that the poorly posted "No Parking" sign for street cleaning cost him a parking ticket. This is so unfair and unnecessary for it was issued while he was in my home fulfilling his responsibilities. I never imagined that the city would issue a ticket to a commercial van while they were on the job. I hope Woolley will support Joe and honor the cost of the ticket. We have been Woolley customers since we bought our house in 2012. The previous owners used Woolley for almost 20 years and told us to stay with them. I am very happy we did! They are always helpful and professional and Craig M. is very knowledgeable and so nice! We added central a/c when we renovated and Woolley perfectly maintains that system for us as well! With Woolley maintenance we are hoping to get as many years out of old furnace as we can and the we will use Woolley to switch us over to a natural gas system.

I have been a Woolley customer for around 20 years. I agree with another reviewer that over time the small town work ethic and friendliness has changed. I stay for one reason: Ed P. Ed has been our service pro for many years. He is skilled. He can fix any problem. He is conscientious. He is professional and polite. In fact, he is the only Woolley service pro that I will work with. That is how good he is. I hope he is training some of the younger service pros. They could learn a lot. Thanks Ed.

First service call on my oil furnace. Art D. showed up on time, explained everything he was doing and what we should look out for. Very professional. Never felt pressured to purchase things we didn't need. Too early to tell if the problem was fully solved, but I have confidence based on his expertise and the transparency and explanations. I signed up for the Gold Level service plan at the beginning of the season and then scheduled the complimentary tune up. When the technician arrived he found two issues on my oil steam boiler. First the low water cutoff switch wasn't working because the float was stuck and second the water drain at the bottom of the boiler was stuck closed. The technician Craig, called me and asked to come early since his first appointment cancelled. He showed me the problems and explained that the boiler could be damaged if boiler went on with no water. He replaced the water drain valve and the float assembly and then tested everything. As part of the original "tune up" he also pointed out some areas on the boiler that were starting to go as well as replacing the glass and filter. All in all he did a good job on a very old piece of equipment. Craig also let me know not to expect too much more life from the boiler. Was my first experience with Woolley but overall very positive.

Ed was awesome. He took a lot of time and care with my boiler cleaning and maintenance check up. My house is almost 100years old and the boiler is original so it needs lots of TLC. I know I need to replace it very soon but with Eds expert care I'm confident we'll make it through this winter. Thanks Ed.

Ed was very helpful for the plumber, David, who was working at my house. David needed a different tool to get to a screw that was causing issues. Ed arrived promptly and assisted David until the problem was solved. They did a great job.

(I had a previous plumber who did an awful job at sealing and caulking the back plate to my shower handle. He had used an excessive amount of caulk that never dried, ended up drooping, and left a gap for water to get through, and I was told by him that it could not be fixed. I was not satisfied with the work that was done.) I called and had a different plumber, David B. come to see if he could fix the problem. David arrived, saw the work, agreed that it was done very poorly and was not satisfied either. He took the time to look into the problem, and actually fixed it! Not only did he reset the back plate and caulk it properly, it looked professionally done! David made sure that his work was done well. In the middle of the job, there was difficulty with a screw that he didn't have the correct tool for. He called a coworker, Ed, to come assist him and the two of them were able to solve the problem. I really appreciated that David took the time to do the work correctly!
