Upon setting me up for a checkup of my heater, Kyle was professional and courteous. He located my information as a former customer and let me know that I qualified for the October 1 pricing.
On 10.04.19, I received a call from Greg letting me know he could arrived earlier than the appointed time and if this was okay with me; it was.
He arrived, introduced himself (neatly attired), and gave me directions as to how I could make the visit go smoothly and correctly.
It did not take as long as first thought. He checked for the filter installation, plugged in my water pipes heater (for the winter season), and answered questions I had regarding the operation of my system.

I recently had two (2) new Carrier Infinity modulating systems installed (furnaces and 5-stage condenser units). My experience from the sales cycle to the finished install was first rate. Mike P. came out the house on multiple occasions to size my units and speak with me about the features and the things they would be able to do to achieve better performance. Scheduling was a breeze and they were able to move some things around so I wouldn't have to go the weekend without A/C. Wes and Estefano did the downstairs unit and were professional, courteous and kept things nice and clean during and after the install. Rico and Jacques then did my upstairs unit which involved removing a condenser from my roof and then running new lines to relocate the new condenser to my ground floor so that it is easier to service in the long run. My old roof condenser was only accessible by going through a skylight, which made it challenging to service. Rico and Jacques removed my old unit on day 1 and installed the new unit on day 2. When I asked them if they would be able to finish the install on day 2 (Friday), they said they would get it done for me. True to their word, they stayed at my house until 11:30pm, putting in a 15 hour day to make it happen for us. They stuck around at that late hour to orient me to the system, answer my questions, and clean-up. I had a feeling Unique was a first rate company when I started speaking with Mike P. and this really proved it for me. My new Infinity units are fantastic. The outdoor condensers are silent and the indoor furnaces are silent as well. My temperatures have been regulating better and I am able to set my thermostats higher as a result of this enhanced efficiency and operation. I would definitely recommend Unique. My AC was acting funny and eventually shut down . All I could think of was a new system might be needed . I googled a few places and decided on Unique since they handled Carrier units . Spoke to Judy and less than half hour Pat was at my door . The man was very knowledgeable and assured me it wasn’t a major issue. He diagnosed the problem within minutes and repaired the problem . That guy knew his craft . He also checked interior parts of unit and assured me all was in good shape . This whole process from start to finish took less than two hours . Dominick was a great sales resource for the purchase of my ductless heating and cooling unit. He was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. When Ricky G.and Mariano arrived the day of the install, they could not have been more professional. They covered their shoes whenever they came into the house and placed tarps everywhere they would be walking. They were very knowledgeable about the installation of the equipment and quickly resolved a few issues that arose in my money pit style home. When they were finished they vacuumed and restored my house to how it looked when they walked in (perhaps even a bit cleaner). They then provided me with a thorough tour of my new system. Everyone I dealt with--Mike P, who consulted on the best solution on replacing a mini-split system for my small row house; Wes, lead installer, and Xavier, Mariano and Son, installers; Frank P., senior service technician; Mike F. scheduler; and the office staff, was friendly, considerate and professional. The installation team worked incredibly hard. But what really sets this company apart is honesty and integrity. There were some problems that required reconfiguring the system and caused the job to go over budget, but I was charged not one cent more than the estimate I'd accepted. Because of the pace of the work, a few details remained unfinished at the end of the job. Frank P. fixed everything up and provided detailed information on how the system works. I discovered my water heater was leaking and called UIC first thing in the morning. Joy was able to have someone in my home that afternoon and combine the service call with my routine HVAC service to safe my the cost of the service call. What other company would do that!
