I contacted Unique Indoor Comfort, among others, to obtain a proposal for replacement of my furnace and air conditioning system. Unique took measurements off all the rooms (for sizing calculations), answered all my questions, and provided me with a written proposal with several system options ranging in cost. Some other contractors that had estimated this job had failed to either take measurements or provide a detailed written proposal. Although Unique did not have the cheapest proposal for this work, I felt most comfortable choosing Unique for the job because of their professional approach to the work, their ability to answer my questions, and their well-detailed proposal.
The installation took one day. The contractors wore booties and put down cloths to keep my carpet clean when moving equipment. The installation went well, and I was satisfied with the quality of the work. The only issue I had was that the installation team forgot to install an upgraded piece of duct work. This duct piece only affected the efficiency of the system, not the operation, but it was included in the contract and touted by Unique as a benefit of their installation. After I noticed this and contacted Unique, they apologized and sent someone to install the upgrade within a few days. Overall, I am very satisfied with the system and the installation. We had an emergency water heater failure resulting in flooding throughout our basement. Unique fitted us into their already busy schedule. Jacques showed up early, knew about the problem and began work immediately. His assistant showed up shortly thereafter and worked quickly to install the new components at the agreed upon price. I was looking to replace the heater in my home, which was 62 years old. I was given Unique's information by a friend, and I called to set up an appointment for an estimate. Brian B. came to my home and spoke with me and answered all of my questions. He was very professional. I decided to purchase my new heater through Unique. Last week, Alex and Juan installed the heater and did an excellent job. Before they even began, they laid tarps on my floor and put booties over their shoes so that they did not ruin my carpet. They were professional from start to finish and did a great job cleaning up after the installation. They gave me instructions on how to use the thermostat and their explanation was perfect. Dimos from Unique Indoor Comfort was a wonderful technician. We had just moved into a new home and was recommended by our inspector to have our AC serviced before using it for the first time. I saw all the good reviews online on Unique Indoor Comfort and called them to schedule a service. I was able to schedule something on a time that was convenient for me, and Dimos was not late to the appointment. He was very friendly and helpful in explaining everything that he was doing and the reasoning behind it. Dimos was a true professional, and I hope everyone has Dimos as their service technician for the HVAC needs whenever they go with Unique Indoor Comfort.
03/06/2020: We had an issue pop up with our boiler a few days ago. I was able to call Unique Indoor Comfort and quickly schedule a technician to come out in just a day. Joe was amazingly thorough and answered all of the questions I had. I'm inexperienced with boilers due to living in a house for the first time, but Joe was meticulous in explaining what the issue was, and went out of his way to make sure that all heating zones were working. Joe worked hard to keep the costs for us to a minimum, and I am very thankful for his service today. I'm more than relieved to know that both my heating and cooling units are under great care by Unique Indoor Comfort folks. I recently (February) had a ductless AC system installed in my house which is over 100 years old. The installers from Unique showed up on time and finished the installation in two days, as scheduled. They took the necessary preparations to keep the areas they had to work in clean and cleared the work areas of debris when the job was completed. Ricardo, one of the installers was able to answer all questions I had about the system and how it worked. Once the installation was completed, the installers checked all units to make sure they were working. For now, I can say the installation went very smoothly.
