This is my second split-system install with Mike and team for a Bryn Mawr rental house. Both times they had my systems scoped and installed in less than a week. This time I went with Mitsubishi. Unique's pricing is competitive, but its the high quality service and extreme responsiveness before, during and post install that sets Unique apart from the others. I'll definitely call Mike for my next remodel.

Friendly, professional, on time service! Jon S was our service technician for our regular maintenance appointment. He gave us a call to let us know he was on his way and arrived on the early side of the 30 minute window we had been given. Jon had not been to our house previously, but had read the prior service reports and knew we had two units, where they were, etc. He got right to work and gave us updates as he moved from one unit to the other. John took a few minutes when he was finished to review what he had done and to answer any questions. John and the Unique team consistently provide friendly and professional service. Let them do it for you!

He promptly addressed and fixed the HVAC issue and then went on to give me some really practical tips to reduce energy costs each month and to get a more even temp on both floors. The team at Unique helped deliver a really great mitsubishi ductless 5-zone system for our home in Philadelphia. Mike and Brandon worked hard to make sure that the design was what we wanted - performance-wise and aesthetically - and the install team was exceptionally clean, courteous, and professional. This included a complicated ceiling-mounted cassette. We were thrilled with the outcome and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I'm so lucky someone told me about Unique Indoor Comfort Heating and Cooling. It was such a positive experience. I'd called another place that wanted $125 in cash to come out, and we set an appointment and no one showed nor called. I left a message, and they didn't call that next morning, so I called a friend who told me about this company. I highly rate it !!!

Call Unique Indoor Comfort to replace a bad control board. My first contact was with Joy and she was great with scheduling the first available appointment. The next day Mark D arrived and extremely professional. Soon after describing the issue, Mark diagnosis the unit as having a bad control board. Mark ordered a new control board and the next day came back to install the new part. Mark is a great tech and very knowledgeable. In addition to installing the new part, I asked Mark if he would talk to my home warranty provider so that I could get reimbursed for parts & labor. Unfortunately, the warranty provider was rude but Mark was cool and answered all necessary questions with a positive tone. Mark went above & beyond...thank you, Mark D - you're the best!! I would highly recommend Mark D and Unique Indoor Comfort.

I have been on the Maintenance plan for several years now. The call takers are always friendly and helpful and The techs that show up are always very professional and keep their workspace in your home very clean. I had a routine maintenance visit last night by George M......George was on time and professional. He was friendly, fast and kept the area super clean. He reminded me by his work ethic that there is a gold standard for service. He is a credit to the company. Thanks for treating my home with respect and keeping my Heating and Air conditioning running problem free.

A Unique combination of incompetence and gouging After my recent encounter with Unique Indoor Comfort, I cannot recommend this audacious and incompetent bunch of crooks to a friend, or even an enemy. Our furnace, which is only 4 years and 2 months old, stopped working. Since Unique had installed it and their phone number was taped to the furnace, we called them. They sent a man out promptly (he said they weren’t busy, and now I know why) for a “diagnosis,” which is apparently not the same thing as an “estimate.” A diagnosis is much more scientific-sounding, and costs $99. This $99 is not deducted from the eventual repair bill; it is in addition to the repair bill. After examining the patient, the doctor…excuse me, the repairman said we had a bad gas valve, and he would have to install a new valve, for the sum of $268. Well, I thought, since this company installed the furnace, they must have the part on their truck…right? Wrong! They had to order the part. After a very chilly night, the repairman returned with the new valve. Okay, I said to myself, we got nicked by these pirates for $370, but at least he’ll fix the furnace, and we’ll know enough to avoid this company in the future. But, as Lee Corso would say, “Not so fast, my friend!” It turned out that the valve wasn’t the problem, or, according to the repairman, not the only problem (we’ll never know which). The furnace still didn’t work, because it needed a new circuit board. Fortunately for all concerned, he had an extra circuit board on his truck, so he was able to fix it right away... Hah, hah! You didn’t believe that did you? No, of course he didn’t have the part. It had to be ordered from the manufacturer, like the valve. But on the positive side, he offered to come back the next day to install it, which I thought was a good idea. That night was probably the coldest one of the year (it was in the 20s), and it got pretty brisk inside the house. I see I forgot to mention the call I received from the Unique office after their man left. We were told that because their employee had failed to test the circuit board (thereby causing us to endure a second heatless night) and had to come back to finish the job…are you ready?... We would be charged an additional $268! In short, Unique had the colossal chutzpah to charge an additional, and outrageous fee for their own blunder. “Unique” is too weak a word for such breathtaking arrogance. “Remarkable” is, or possibly “un-f-----g-believable.” We had no intention of paying for this extra house call, although we did not say anything to our new chums at Unique. But someone there must have suspected that they would encounter “sales resistance.” When the repairman came the next day, he said we had to pay $536 in advance. After we stopped laughing and could speak normally again, we made a counter-offer: we would pay the charge of $268 after the furnace was working, not before. He called the home office to let them know we were not the suckers they had hoped. The Unique sales representative was very disappointed with our unreasonable attitude. After much back-and-forth with my wife, she accepted our offer of paying only one service fee of $268 (in addition to the $99 previously paid) and snidely suggested that perhaps we ought to use a different company in the future (which was exactly what I had already decided on my own! It was almost as if she could read my mind!), because “You don’t seem to be comfortable with our price structure.” We were most definitely not comfortable with their price structure, if “price structure” is equivalent to price gouging, extortion and/or a rip-off. To summarize, I do not recommend you use Unique Indoor Comfort for any purpose, unless you have large amounts of cash you don’t know how to dispose of, and don’t require a working furnace in the winter.

I'm very happy with the service at Unique Indoor Comfort. I requested a quote late last nite. This morning I got a call from Joy (who was great!) and scheduled an appointment for today. The appointment was scheduled between 12p-2p, and Mark was at my door at 12p. He quickly resolved my issue. He was friendly, courteous, and professional. In the end, I purchased a maintenance contract from him, because I believe it will extend the life of my furnace. All in all, I'm very happy.

Service appointments are always on time. The service technicians never track dirt through the house, and usually leave the area around our heating unit cleaner than when they came. They are always pleasant and willing to answer questions and offer suggestions.

I had an awesome experience with Unique Indoor Comfort. It started from the beginning. First, I would like to say that I have had several issues heating the first floor of my home. I had a central heating and cooling system installed about fifteen years ago from another company. They had to come out several times to fix the system. That being said, once the heater was working correctly, it still never properly heated my first floor. We had two other companies come in and tried to satisfy our needs but after spending a lot of money we still were not satisfied. Finally, I talked to Mike P. and he assured me that Unique Indoor Comfort would fix my issues. I was skeptical because of all of my previous issues. However, his confidence and knowledge captivated my attention. Although the company was not the least expensive, I went with them because of Mike. We had three Mitsubishi Hyperheat mini splits installed. I can not tell you enough how pleased I am with this experience!!! From the moment that the installers Alex and Estaphono walked in the door until the moment they left my home, they were very professional, courteous and clean! I have never had such a positive experience with workers in my home. I have purchased an additional year service plan based on their professionalism! Last but not least, my first floor is finally comfortable! It has not been comfortable since I switched from radiant heat to forced air. I highly recommend Unique Indoor Comfort, Mike P, Alex, and Estaphono because they truly put customers first!

These guys went above and beyond to completely replace a system that was malfunctioning. They planned on the job taking a day and a half to complete. Initially I was really upset that we wouldn’t have heat overnight. They assured me that they would get space heaters, if necessary, to ease my stress. Then they busted their backsides, skipping lunch, to make sure that my family was all set with heat and hot water ahead of schedule. These guys are , clean professional and pleasant to have replace our heater. Pure pros!

I called Unique Indoor on New Year’s Eve at 8am as our furnace stopped working overnight in our new home. Fortunately, they were able to send a technician (Joe) over around lunch same day. Quickly he found out we needed a new fan and a replacement part was delivered. Now our furnace is ~15 years old and when something goes wrong it’s never just one thing... and joe stayed several hours to ensure my family had heat for the night. The next day (New Yesrs Day!) a second technician Pat came over to finish up a few things and since then our house has been warmer than ever. Both were very professional, friendly and explained everything going on - to someone who has literally no idea what goes on inside a gas-fired unit. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. I plan to have them out in the spring to service our AC.

First, Mike Pagnottelli was excellent in providing and obtaining the necessary specs and permits and explanation for replacement of HVAC and Hot Water heater. He got all necessary permits within one day. Mike Flanagan kept us up to date with scheduling and planning of installation. On day of installation, Ed and Son were prompt and arrived early and they were very transparent and addressed all of our questions. They were very polite, professional, and pleasant. Their supervisor, Joe, was on site to ensure the progress of the work done as planned. Joe was very friendly and provided support for his team. They even made us a custom access panel cover upon our request. Overall, Ed and Son were two great and pleasant men with a good sense of humor and did an excellent job in installing and integrating all of the pieces together. They stayed late to make sure everything was tested properly and cleaned up. We highly recommend Unique Indoor Comfort for HVAC and Water Heater installations. As a professor I give them an "A". Judy's book is a complete waste of time. The site doesn't work well. There were no "star" ratings or graphic on the page, but the site demanded I give a rating anyway. I completed all of the text boxes, kept within the character count, hit submit. The first time it wouldn't submit my review because I didn't click on some invisible rating. The second time it noted an error in posting my review. Judy's site it just a waste of time and I won't use them again.

We have been shown great courtesy and consideration. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the products and process. Enjoy working with their staff. Taz and Sam were excellent and very knowledgeable. They did a good job of explaining the process to the homeowner and were very cognizant of protecting the home while on site. They were meticulous, neat, and very detailed in their work. They were great to work in conjunction with as we were doing other projects at the same time. As the general contractor on the job, I appreciate having people who do their job without needing any oversight. UIC has become our contractor of choice for any HVAC solutions. I have already referred UIC to a client of ours. I really like the quality of the product and its ease of use for my clients.

Very personable and professional interaction. Taz and Sam worked diligently all day to execute a full system (heat and AC) installation in our home... on the coldest day of the season so far. All along the way, they made sure to keep us informed of how things were going and the status of their progress. So, about 24 hours after the 20 year old system died, we have a brand new system and the house is warm again. Terrific responsiveness and service!

George was awesome! He came out to my house on an urgent matter since I was told by a big named company that advertises all the time that my heater needed to be replaced ASAP and was turning it off it was that bad. George and Tee (trainee) came the next day for a second opinion, tested the carbon monoxide level and it was 0. Every test Unique did, showed my heater is in great shape and didn’t need replacing. How horrified was I that a week before Christmas I was being ripped off from the big company that advertises all the time. George was so helpful and honest. Unique indoor comfort is lucky to have him as an employee. Guess who I am using in the future!!
