Unique installed dual Carrier HVAC systems in 2017. I've signed up for the twice-a-year maintenance service each year. Office is very easy to work with. Techs show up on time, are clean and polite, to a thorough job (takes about 1.5 hrs for both systems). And heating and cooling systems have run perfectly since installation. Dennis was on time to repair our furnace, which was leaking gas, and very respectful of the COVID-19 constraints. I could tell by how efficiently he worked that he knew exactly what he was doing inside and out -- even with our furnace which is over 70 years old. Obviously we're going to be replacing it ASAP this year. Dennis was a wealth of information about what works well and what doesn't when considering heating and cooling options. He also put us in touch with a sales rep who will go over everything in detail.
These days it seems to be a challenge to get HVAC and plumbing people even on the phone to schedule a visit. And then the visit might not be right away. Kyle, at the office, contacted me minutes after selecting Unique Indoor Comfort from Angie's List. Then they called me when Dennis was just about to arrive which was only a couple hours later.
The charges for parts and labor were totally reasonable and, again, Dennis worked very efficiently which certainly helped in this respect.

Had Unique replace my entire system, and redo all the ducting in my basement to move the machine 10 feet over so I could refinish my basement. The new ducting work was quite literally an engineering work of art! I had a lot of requests to make the new ducts take up less headroom and stay out fo the way of the main room to allow me a full sized main area and the guys went above and beyond to figure out a solution that not only increased my airflow but took my space considerations into account. They even coordinated a crane to lift off the fan unit off my center city roof (45 feet), all while dancing around my roofers who had to replace the roof because once we lifted up the old machine we realized that needed to be done at the same time. The whole thing was a ballet of moving parts, and all done with face masks and social distancing in the middle of a Pandemic! My hats off and thanks to Unique for doing an A job. While there pricing might be a little higher then some operators out there, I always feel I get incredible value every time I have used them for service, and now for installation! Thanks Unique. My "Install Team" was Taz and Sam, who installed a 3 ton Carrier high velocity A/C system with two zones on the second floor of my house and a 1 ton Mitsubishi split system on the 3rd floor loft. My salesman was Matt Lafferty. House has a partially accessible attic on one side but no access to 3 bedrooms on the other except through a knee wall. Installation required one of two trunk lines to cross a "winder staircase" into a knee wall for the 3 bedrooms.
Matt did a great job of scoping out the work required and specifying how the installation would be done. Taz and Sam did a fantastic job of handling the details of actually implementing the job. Had no holes cut in walls or ceilings that had to be redone. In fact, they found a way to get air supplies into some rooms with less invasive measures than in the original plan.

Paul and Brandon at Unique Indoor Comfort took great care in helping us determine the best solution for adding a new Air Conditioning system for our 1935 center-entrance colonial, with no existing ductwork. After considering many different options and companies to work with, Paul was able to win us over with his honesty, intelligence, knowledge and practicality. We're so glad we decided to contract with Unique Indoor Comfort. From the initial planning with Paul, and then Brandon, and the final installation team (Alex & Juan), each person we have worked with has been extremely competent, clear, and pleasant. This was not an easy job, as we have hot water heat and no existing ductwork, but the system Unique has installed to cool all three floors of our home is totally inobtrusive and effective, with minimal disruption to our living space.
