I recently (February) had a ductless AC system installed in my house which is over 100 years old. The installers from Unique showed up on time and finished the installation in two days, as scheduled. They took the necessary preparations to keep the areas they had to work in clean and cleared the work areas of debris when the job was completed. Ricardo, one of the installers was able to answer all questions I had about the system and how it worked. Once the installation was completed, the installers checked all units to make sure they were working. For now, I can say the installation went very smoothly. Since it's now still winter, I will have to wait until the summer weather arrives to give my complete assessment.
August Update
I'm very glad I had this system installed in my house. It does a wonderful job of cooling the house and is much quieter than window units. Also, I'm not seeing such a large spike in electric usage like I was with the window units. Frank P. 08/15/20 |

My 100-year old house has central air on the 1st and 2nd, but the 3rd floor (where my home office is) relies on window units. With climate change, the past few summers have seen consecutive weeks of 90F and since I now commute by Zoom, I had been getting complaints about the background noise of my straining 8K BTU Frigidaire.
I got three estimates, and though not the lowest, Unique was the ONLY provider who had figured a way to use a single condenser with two handlers snaking the tubes and wiring through the labyrinths of my oddly shaped attic, dormers, etc. I was sold at that point. It took about a month for the installers to get here (mid-August busy season.)
Val and Trey were young, but very experienced, and EXTREMELY professional. Both wore masks when we could not practice social distancing.
They were extremely polite and respectful of the property as well as our time. When there were options, they presented them to us, never steering us toward what was easier for them. They did offer guidance when their opinion was asked, and it was always good advice. Again, no pressure to cut corners ever, even when aesthetic reasons were chosen over practicality.

Had heard of Unique from ads and trucks -- reached out for an evaluation of a newly purchased home after reading positive online reviews. Terrific service from Joe C who visited the house to evaluate the system, and answered ALL my questions without pause, thoroughly and thoughtfully. Offered services based on our needs. Spoke to Kim M at the main number the following day who was able to answer more questions and schedule a follow-up with Joe the next day. Once again, Joe was here at the promised time and completed the work requested and again provided me with more insight into system questions and needs. Jacques L made a service call today related to condensation around the air handler, which is located in a tight eves on the 3rd floor. He did a great job remediating the problem! We discussed the issues before he started, and when he was finished he explained exactly what he did and showed me pictures on his iPad. Great guy. We have a service contract for both our A/C and gas furnace, and Unique has always been very reliable.

We had to have our high velocity air conditioning system replaced and we are very glad that we had Unique do the job. When I first called your company, Kyle R. helped me out and provided great customer service and he scheduled to have Curt come out and give us an estimate. Curt K. stopped by our house within a reasonable time frame considering that this was a very busy time for HVAC companies. Curt was very thorough and he checked out our setup in our house and he was able to give us an estimate before he left. He also was able to get us a few loaner window A/C units to give us some cool air in our house until the work could begin. This was a great help and I do not think other competitors offer this to customers. The other person that helped us out was Mike F. and he made sure that we knew what to expect when the guys came out to replace our system. He asked us things like what door should the guys use and if the start time was ok with us. Finally, we were very impressed by Alex and Juan who installed our system. They were very professional and kind. They answered our questions. They put down drop clothes and cleaned up everything afterwards. They did quality workmanship and it really showed how they paid attention to small details when they set up our system. Given that we needed this work done during a global pandemic Xavier was more than conscientious of our home and space. He waited patiently while I opened the basement door and prepared some precautions. He did not approach until I left the back basement space. He wore gloves and a mask throughout. He kept conversation to a minimum which is of the utmost importance in preventing the spread of the virus. Xavier spoke only to ask pertinent questions or sum up his work. Our recent experience with Unique Indoor Comfort Heating & Cooling with the installation of three new HVAC systems at our home was outstanding. We selected our HVAC Carrier units through the exceptional expertise and professionalism of Matt Lafferty who provided detailed information about our HVAC options in an organized and understandable manner. Matt did an incredible job of skillfully and patiently answering our questions, including our follow-up inquiries via text and phone. Unique Indoor Comfort representatives Ricky and Estefano who installed our HVAC systems did a terrific job and were very efficient, polite, punctual and knowledgeable about the new equipment. They both worked diligently, kept us updated during every step of the three-day install, and carefully explained the proper operation of our new HVAC systems upon the project’s completion.
