Beshoy A. of Unique Indoor Comfort provided incredible service. To begin, he arrived at 8:00 PM on the 4th of July Holiday after a late call for help. He was friendly throughout the visit, and demonstrated wonderful patience as we sought answers to our problems. Beshoy A. recognized immediately the problem that resulted in water leaking from the air conditioner unit to the basement floor. The problem was a blocked water pipe from the unit. He quickly resolved that problem, only to find another problem with our old basement drain. It was stopped up as well so the air conditioner could not successfully drain. He tried many different approaches to open the drain, taking a significant amount of time even though the problem with this drain was not with the air conditioning unit. Despite the lateness of the hour and the frustration with this old drain, Beshoy A. remained calm and patient while demonstrating an intense desire to resolve the problem. Trong and Tan were prompt, clean (booties and masks) courteous, and efficient. We were quoted 4-5 days for install and they turned on our air before the end of day 4. The house feels great and it’s so much quieter than our window units, without the mess of conventional central air or high velocity. During the service call, before tech got here it was discovered to be an issue caused by us. Instead of cancelling the call they wanted to make sure the system was running as promised. Also we are very pleased with the use of PPE and care the Unique team takes in doing their best of adhering to CDC guidelines. Dennis arrived very early in the window we had been provided, with his mask on, and he was absolutely straightforward about our situation with our High Velocity AC. He did a good diagnosis about the NEXT WORK, more involved, that had to be done, and he took care of the immediate under-functioning of one of our units by adding refrigerant. I called the office at 5:30 PM on a Tuesday because my Mitsubishi ductless AC was blowing warm air. Darlene told me she could get someone out that evening. I was shocked when Joe arrived after 9:00 PM. He did the best he could to fix the problem (had to add refrigerant because of a leak somewhere) but could not detect the leak because it had recently rained. Unit is working now and a tech is coming on Monday to fix the problem. I was very happily surprised that Joe would come to my house so late and was also grateful for Darlene being able to arrange this. They are both true professionals. The only downside is that a Unique tech serviced the unit 2 1/2 weeks prior to this incident and added refrigerant to make it more efficient, but did not look for a leak. 2nd Install by Unique on 6/23/20- Same outstanding service! Alex and Juan showed up right on time. Were very professional and took time to explain the process upfront. The newly installed Ac/heating unit looks amazing. All the pipes and drains and wires are very neatly organized, these guys really did an amazing job. They prepped the area to ensure no damage to the carpets and vacuumed once done. Left the area better than it was! Thanks again, highly recommended Unique / Juan / Alex.
1st Install on 3/20/20 - Mike P., Jacques and Spencer upgraded whole house HVAC system to support additional living space. They showed up to all appointments on time, were very professional and took time to go over options and explain that work to be performed. Their quote upfront was very competitive and offered excellent financing options. The work was done right away, on Monday we review the quote and by Thursday the system was installed.

Phenomenal experience from beginning to end! We recognized that the air conditioning project for our home was different due to the age, architecture, height, environment (eg proximity to power lines) and a few of our aesthetic preferences. High velocity was going to be the best choice. After interviewing numerous companies in search for a trustworthy partner to take on the project, we recognized the importance of working with a company that not only has a deep understanding of architecture but also has creativity to make the job work in spite of surprises. We found Unique Indoor Comfort through our neighborhood group. After our first consultation with Paul, we were convinced that UIC was the right partner. He was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and patient as we outlined the project and our known constraints. Rob followed up with a call to explain options and prepare us for the installation. Rob and Paul kept in contact as we waited for the install date and let us know that it would start two days later than planned - which was not an issue. The crew, Taz and Spencer, showed up early on the install day (and every day thereafter) and outlined what would happen each day. Within a few hours, one floor was prepared and there was absolutely NO debris. They vacuumed as they went along. Furthermore, they found a way to install four of the flex ducts in a difficult position without making any extra holes (which would later have to be closed by someone else). We were pleasantly surprised. Over the remainder of the install, we encountered a few snags but Taz, Spencer, Trey and (I think Mike) worked to solve each of them very quickly. We appreciated that they were transparent in keeping us informed throughout - including when they hit (or we caused) the roadblocks. Highly recommended. The service from Unique has been the worst I've ever received from a company. During install of ductless AC, they installed the incorrect compressor and only fixed the problem once I told them the unit was much larger and a different model than expected. For our downstairs unit, they drilled in the wrong spot, hit a steel beam, and fixed it with a sloppy patch job (will have to sand, re-patch, and paint ourselves). On the same day that they finished the installation (it was a 3-day job), the indoor unit in our bedroom began to leak all over our bedroom table, a wool rug, and electrical cords. We had to shut down the unit and so far I have been unable to get someone to come out and fix the problem. They made a mistake in a previous job (flooded our basement) and gave us a 10% discount to continue with the ductless install. Definitely never would have gone forward with this work if we knew how the company does their work, and how they mess up second chances. Stay away from this company. Curt K., Kyle R. 06/21/20 |

Kyle was polite and professional and able to accommodate our scheduling request. Dennis was also very polite and professional, maintained safety precautions by wearing a mask and maintaining physical distancing, and seemed to do a very thorough job. Whenever we have our seasonal maintenance done our blown-in insulation inevitable gets tracked out of the attic by the technician, and Dennis did such a thorough job vacuuming the stray insulation that escaped the attic it looked as if he hadn’t even been there.
