Kyle and Chris were both great. They answered any questions I had and were responsive throughout the heating and AC installation, and afterwards. I appreciated the time they took and the fact that they recommended a smaller unit than other companies I tried, which, after doing some research, seemed to be appropriate for the size of my home. I was impressed that they didn't try to push a larger unit that would cost more. They were also extremely helpful sending information I needed to get rebates from the gas company (for converting and getting new equipment) after the installation was complete. I went with Unique Indoor Comfort when converting from oil to gas heat. They installed a gas furnace and switched our water heater from electric to gas. We also had them replace the AC since it was about 20 years old. They offered high-quality (Trane) equipment at a competitive price, with a reasonable installation time. They worked with me as I coordinated with the gas company to have a line installed. The installation was done professionally and they left little mess behind. They also checked with me to confirm that exhaust pipe placement would be OK. Impressively, they were very helpful afterwards with sending invoices that I needed to apply for rebates with the gas company, including modifying them to add some required information. Definitely got good service from start to finish. The heating system had a minor issue when it first started up but they sent someone out who was able to fix the problem and it's worked fine since. We haven't had to use the AC yet but there's no reason to think it won't also work. Hot water has been just as good as with the electric tank, and hopefully saving us a little money. I had a new air conditioning system, Mitsubishi ductless, and Alex and Juan were the installers. Both were very professional and did a great job with the work. The units look nice in the house and they caulked the gaps so it looks seemless. They cleaned up and did not leave a mess. After the job, Alex walked me through everything that I need to know. A new furnace for an old house was a big investment and it really helped that everyone from Unique was friendly and a clear and transparent communicator. The process was very smooth from estimate to installation. Especially Trong Tan and his co-worker, who did the install itself, did beautiful work with attention to detail; they were also super nice people. Purchase and installation of my new Mitsubishi HVAV hyper heat ducted system was a good experience from beginning to end. We reviewed units appropriate for my home with Mike P. and it was informative and relaxed with no pressure. I had a very different experience with another well known vendor where We felt we were in a car dealership. Installation was likewise smooth and efficient. Estefano and Spencer arrived on time and fully and appropriately masked. They were courteous, clean and professional throughout the all day process. They cleaned up nicely at the end. All the team members I worked with took a lot of time to walk through the project (a fairly tricky one in an old house where I didn't want any walls opened up to install the duct work). Unique installed a complete new system and has serviced it for the last several years. For health reasons, I need to consider an additional filtration system and humidifier. Jacques explained several alternatives, answered all my questions and emailed further details to help in my decisions.
I also have a banging sound when the unit turns off and on. Other service pros have noted the issue and offered suggestions but Jacques explained exactly why the unit was creating the noise and also gave various options to correct it.
He was extremely thorough in his work; his explanations for both the new add on units and the duct issue were clear and concise. He was also extraordinary pleasant and considerate.

I cannot rave enough about my experience with Unique Indoor Comfort. Mike was incredibly thorough during the walkthrough, pointing out professionally and expertly why UIC was the best company to install my new AC unit. But what most blew me away was the professionalism and sheer friendliness of Ricky and Sam, the two technicians who completed the project. They treated me and my home with an enormous amount of respect and they truly put my house back to pristine condition once they were done. They did not treat me as a nuisance as they worked around me and they had the best attitudes of any contractors I've ever encountered. They were genuinely happy to be there and to do their job and it showed. They were personable, funny, and cheerful alongside being professional, knowledgeable and incredibly efficient. They did not become disgruntled at surprise obstacles and truly gave 110% to their work. The work was done with care and it shows. Mike P helped us with our HVAC system replacement. We quoted a few different HVAC contractors but the decision for us was easy. Instead of bombarding us with a bunch of fake 'discounts' and over promising, Mike gave us a good price while giving us realistic expectations. Trong and his assistant, Tan, were a joy to work with. I felt comfortable, during the entire install, that everything was being taken care of with the highest level of professionalism. Throughout the install, Trong, would ask me to check his work or make sure i understood what he was going to do before he cut any large holes or made any significant decisions on the placement of the AC units. They both ensured that all our personal belongings were covered and well protected from debris and foot traffic.
My mind is at peace that the job Trong performed will be sound and without any significant issues for many years to come.
Oh, i almost forgot. The AC unit ended up being a bit of a tight squeeze into our property so rather than damage any furnishings they ordered a crane to deliver the unit safely to the roof of our house at no additional charge. Trong C. 09/30/20 |
