Our experience with MacGregor began with a visit from Mike W. who discussed in detail the installation of our new equipment and truly listened to our input. We felt an immediately sense of trust in Mike's recommendations and were happy to work with him in selecting the equipment that was right for our needs from the options he offered.
Joe W. and Brad F. did a great job installing our new furnace/ac. They were respectful of our home and our time while being courteous in their interactions with us. Joe leaned on his experience and creativity in resolving a couple of long-standing issues we had with our previous furnace installation. They performed the installation in a very professional and timely manner while paying attention to the details that were important to us. If Brad, Joe and Mike represent the talent employed by MacGregor, their workforce is second to none.

MacGregor has been our plumbing and heating company of choice for about 7 years. They do the job at reasonable prices and their staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Jim replaced our hot water heater last weekend (on a Saturday) and stuck with it until the job was done. Then he called on Sunday to be certain everything was okay. In the process of replacing the heater, he uncovered a potentially serious problem with the electric feed into our house (voltage spiking). We were able to call Consumers Energy to get it corrected. I was pleased when I saw John show up to address my plumbing woes. I had worked with John on a furnace problem at my daughters house a few weeks earlier and was jmpressed with his professional demeanor and thouroughness. These qualities, again prevailed. We experienced a water line break in three ares of our cottage due to a furnace outage,the worst spilling water onto the kitchen floor. Tim Rhine was on the spot and handled the clean up and repairs along with John with great efficiency. He instilled in us a sense of confidence that all was being handled well,especially since we were 300 miles away. He continually kept us informed as to what was happening and the progress made. John especially went above and beyond the call when he stopped in after a power outage to reassure my daughter that all was well. We woke up Monday morning to a house that was 50 degrees and falling. The furance had failed sometime during the night and would not light the burner. I called MacGregor Plumbing & Heating and had a service technician (Joe H.) at the house by 8:30. Within 30 minutes of troubleshooting the issue, Joe had a new ignitor and blower motor capacitor installed and we were up and running. Joe also did a complete inspection of the furance and supporting systems and gave us a clean bill of health. He did mention that the blower motor was starting to show signs of age and we may want to consider replacing it in the not to distant future. He even went so far as to work up an estimate for future reference. One thing that Joe did, which I was very appreciative of, was without asking, he slipped on a pair of waterproof booties as not to soil our floors. Gold star for that one Joe because you kept me out of hot water with my wife. Finally, Joe was the true professional in both appearance and knowledge. He explained everything that he was doing and pointed out a few things that I could do on my own to save a few bucks and keep my furance running as good as possible. I have used MacGregor Plumbing & Heating in the past and will continue to use them in the future. I highly recommend anyone looking for help in this area contact MacGregor and ask for Joe H.
