John W arrived this morning when our heater stopped working.He was extremely knowledgable, professional and friendly. He knew what he was doing and replaced the heating element with a new on in about 20 minutes and explained how it works so I could understand.
Not having your heater work in Northern Michigan was very unnerving.
He was also very personable and like-able person working on a Saturday to keep us warm.

John showed up quickly and was able to diagnose the failed part. Problem was Bryant was severely back ordered for this item that is required for the furnace to operate. MacGregor Management (Mike)and Customer Service (Debbie) were able to work with Bryant and get this part shipped out and John installed before the prime heating season.

We have used MacGregor for several years, both for our furnace, which we purchased there, and for various plumbing issues. I have been very happy with the service, plus have a service plan which is a good deal for my family. John W. is our usual service technician, and he has been excellent. Our hot water heater went belly up on a recent Saturday morning. Thank goodness we’re on MacGregor’s service plan because John showed up as promised ready to repair the problem. He quickly diagnosed the issue and had the parts on his truck. We had complete confidence from the word go because John clearly knew what he was doing, never even mentioned replacing the unit (it’s old, he could have), and it was back in service in no time. 2 year old Bosch boiler throwing "Error" messages. John found issues with the fuse holders and replaced them.
Error messages returned. Doctoring the fuse holders appears to have the problem resolved.
There appears to be an interferance between the fuse holders and the front cover door for the boiler. this may be the issue - this is a design issue with the Bosch boiler. John put thing together and it now works. John W. 04/20/22 |

My water softener was not recycling properly. When Nick showed up the first thing out of his mouth was this is a old unit and you need a new one which will cost $3000. He began doing water tests where he said the water was hard. Duh, why do you think we called you. He also started talking about how we needed a new air pressure tank and our well was old. We explained in detail what was going on and when during recycling it happens. He did not seem to care. Never checked to see if anything was clogged ,tubing or pipes. Adjusted the back flow and left after my husband stated we are not in the market for a new softener. Nic I. 01/05/22 |
