Chad was extremely knowledgeable and helped me to understand my options after a demolition crew damaged a pipe. He did an excellent job in a remarkably brief amount of time, and resolved a huge concern of mine.

Once again MacGregors comes through for us. Joe W. and Brad F. came in and completely ripped out our old heating system and installed a new furnace and heat pump/AC unit. ALL work was excellent, it was done on time as planned, and it was done with a minimum of intrusion on my family. Not the cheapest work in the county but assuredly the best and MacGregors DEFINES service after the sale which is why we will continue to use them forever. We had a water leak that developed as a pinhole in a 3/4 inch copper line on Saturday, May 31, 2014. It was 6:30 PM so after business hours on a week-end. I called MacGreogor's business line and selected "3" for an emergency. I spoke to someone who took the info and stated that someone would be calling soon. Within 5 minutes John Gay called and said he was near Walloon Lake and would come directly here. He did. John is very personable, knowledgeable and efficient. He replaced a section of a line and also a valve that was malfunctioning. Also, he gave us information about a water softening system which we are considering. This was again a very good experience with MacGregor! John and everyone we've dealt with there over the past 8 years since moving here exhibit the same high level of competency, as well as an orientation toward warm, friendly customer service. What wonderful, professional service we received this past weekend! A pipe blew in the garage and joe s came right out and fixed it promptly and also has made sure it won't happen again. We had a few other plumbing questions and he was very kind in answering as many as possible but did admit he was a hearing specialist but would relay the questions to the master plumbers. My furnace went out in the middle of the night and when I called MacGregor in the morning, they were extremely responsive to my situation (cold temps exacerbate my health problems) and had someone here quickly. Jim G. was very professional and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem (which included having to go back to the shop to get a part to complete the repair). John G. came yesterday to help us find the source of a water leak that was coming through the basement ceiling. We were so thankful that he found a pin hole leak in the tubing going to our refrigerator ice maker. He is coming back to replace the plastic tubing with copper so we do not have the problem again. I wish we had been aware of it before it got under our hardwood floors. John was excellent. He was very congenial and determined to help us. Joe S. came out to inspect our furnace at our vacation property in Boyne City last Friday. He arrived on time, was very polite, knowledgeable, and took his time to explain what he was doing, why he was doing it and answered all my questions. He performed the service in a quick, but professional manner and advised me of a few things that I might do to prolong the life of our furnace. My wife and I were very pleased with the service call. We have had MacGregor out to our home two times in the last year, for separate issues and have been very satisfied on both occasions. We got involved with MacGregor several years ago when a water heater went out and we had been disappointed by out regular plumber of 20 years. So we fired them and hired MacGregors -- we never looked back. MacGregors level of service is WAY above the competition, they ALWAYS are kind, courteous and professional and even if you have problems they will come back and work on your stuff until it is RIGHT with no charge. I had furnace problems off and on for the past two years with my 20+ year old furnace. MacGregor Plumbing and Heating came out to see if they could help, and ultimately were the ones I chose to put in a new furnace when my old one could no longer be resurrected. I have nothing but praise for this company. Every service person who has been in my home has been exceptionally professional and knowledgeable; most recently it was Kevin, who performed an annual check up and offered free replacement furnace filters. When my old furnace died (middle of winter, of course) they were at my home in no time and brought me electric heaters. Even on SuperBowl Sunday, Joe arrived quickly and with a smile! Their evaluations have been thorough, and I have never felt pressured to buy equipment or services. I was in Aspen,CO on a ski trip and received a call from my caretaker that both furnaces were not working at my home in Northern,MI. I requested he call MacGregor Plumbing & Heating on Sunday 3/16. Joe H. is a great representative of MacGregor plumbing and heating. He was early, respectful, efficient, and thorough. We had a couple of issues with our boiler which he promptly diagnosed and then proceeded to fix as timely as possible. He was very careful to check with us and inform us as to what he was doing. Ever since I moved to this area (about 12 years ago) I have been a faithful user of MacGregor. However, during that time span my most frequent requests have dealt with my oil furnace (s) - in fact, I think exclusive of a couple of well related issues my sole requirement has dealt with my oil heating system. During that time I have become very appreciative of the expertise that Todd S brings to the table. When I see him coming to adjust my furnace I know that I will be very well taken care of. Just recently I had my first real "plumbing" issue. At that time John G responded to a late night emergency request for a blocked drain. Solving that problem, John pointed out that my drain from the toilet needed some additional work. Later, while fixing that problem he noted that my problems might be alleviated - a little - by the installation of a water softener. John G completed that installation yesterday. During each of these visits I have been impressed with both John's knowledge and his commitment to getting the job done right. Whether it is John G or Todd S - MacGregor should be extremely happy to have these two individuals as their customer representatives.
