Mr. John Gay is a true professional by quickly identifying my home equipment problem (bad water pressure system), selected an excellent replacement part and surprised me by picking-up and installing the same equipment within a few hours. No cleaning problems for you ladies...he made no mess, wore slippers over his shoes, had a mat to protect the floor while all the time working under my house in the crawl space. Kevin and Noah arrived on time and immediately set to work at a steady and efficient pace working together and separately to get our natural gas hookup completed by mid afternoon when DTE set the meter and everything fired up without a hitch. We can't say enough good things about these two who were a joy to have in our house helping us finally get hooked up to our new gas line. They did everything we asked, were tidy and neat and left nothing but blissfully warm water in our new hot water heater. They are welcome back anytime!! Our whole MacGregor experience was terrific. The rep was very courteous and helpful and recommended a water heater replacement that included a $500.00 rebate from Great Lakes Energy. he said our acct. number was needed to complete this. MacGregor has been doing work in our cottage for over 20 years. My garbage disposal gave out two days before a large group of company was to arrive. I called MacGregor on a Thursday afternoon and by Friday afternoon the new unit had been installed. The service technician (John Gay) arrived on time, had all of the necessary equipment with him, and was courteous and professional. Yesterday afternoon, we discovered a major flood in our basement. We had just arrived home from vacation and were overwhelmed. After calling our insurance carrier, we contacted MacGregor Plumbing & Heating. It was now after hours and the specialist on call was busy with other emergencies. He arrived around 10 p.m. and went right to work to find out the source of our water issue. John Gay was awesome. He left nothing uncovered. He found that the builder of our home had connected copper piping with a cap that was not copper. It took 42 years to make a hole in the pipe! I called at 7 am and was told a technician would be out by 5 pm. Jim arrived at 4:45pm, diagnosed the problem with my geothermal heat pump within a matter of minutes. Called MacGregor after one of their competitors supposedly repaired my AC unit. That repair lasted about 2 days. Joe H. came out the same day that I called, inspected the AC unit and explained the problem which was missed by their competitor. He repaired the problem while double checking the entire system.
