I contacted MacFarlane Energy to install several Wi-Fi thermostats across MA for 5 different houses, and I was exceptionally pleased by their professional, efficient, and honest work ethic. They arrived on time, answered all questions and concerns I had, and completed the jobs in a timely manner. Thomas R. was my technician, and I was extremely satisfied with the results and quality of his work.
MacFarlane Energy has great pricing, their personal service is outstanding, and their work ethic is phenomenal. I felt very comfortable knowing that I was dealing with a very honest company. MacFarlane has provided our furnace oil and maintenance for over 16 years. They have been extremely helpful, courteous, responsive, and kind. They helped solve a number of issues when we rebuilt our home. Their no-worries policy is so worth it! The come out quickly and take care of any and all issues right away. I highly recommend it. Today, ****** *. and **** *. came out to do the annual cleaning and tune-up service for our furnace, hot water heater and AC unit. They were both very professional, polite and friendly. Rich L.. Did an excellent job of cleaning my oil burning system that MacFarlane put in a few years ago. We always ask for Rich to come and clean our oil burner and know that when he is finished, its ready for the next heating season. I'm sure that all of MacFarlane mechanics are as skilled as Rich l. IS AND i'M SURE THAT ITS A GOOD TEAM EFFORT WHICH MAKES A WINNING GROUP. We can always depend upon MacFarlane to respond to our call when we need oil . I was referred to MacFarlane Energy by another company and originally spoke to *** ** who immediately understood my urgent need for help. I have been trying to find someone with experience in my heating system for years with very little success. My problem was no heat or hot water and radiators running extremely hot. He sent ***** ** to my home that morning and he was both professional and knowledgeable. He spent time explaining and trouble shooting, giving me a great sense of comfort throughout his visit. When he had questions he refereed to his office team and together they worked out a customized plan of approach. His level of understanding of technical trouble shooting was superior. He skillfully questioned me about my concerns and respectfully fit the pieces together. There were several problems found. If the rest of the company is like *** * and ***** ** (and I expect that it is) anyone would be lucky to have them take care of either their residential or commercial energy needs. I threw them a curved ball having unusual older equipment and it never seemed to phase him. I can be a tough customer. in that I expect a high level of hassle free service and MacFarlane Energy did not disappoint me a bit. When ***** left my home I had much confidence my boiler issues would be resolved quickly. He, ***, the office team and the professional trucks at MacFarlane Energy are a compliment to the industry. We have had MacFarlane Energy for almost 20 years. During this time they have had to respond on several very cold mornings when the furnace had gone out due to oil problems. Each of the service repair men were courteous and prompt. They were knowledgeable and efficient, completing the jobs in a timely manner, and soon had us back up and running. Bad Service!!! I called the office to put a hold on my account last month and stop automatic deliveries. Spoke with Amanda who assured me I was all set as I'm not under contract. Came back home today from a long trip to find out that they billed me for a delivery that I did not request. I feel tricked and disappointed. Mark Ducette (The review system lists two "Mark D." service techs) was great today. Mark was here for a few hours dealing with our boiler issue. He did everything with a smile and informed me step by step as he was getting things done. He was punctual and, after having to handpump some oil through our line, cleaned up any spillage without anything left behind.
