The team came to my home today to fix a heating problem and checked everything thoroughly, bled radiators, etc. At the end, the problem was much improved and they even found something wrong that I had not realized. I was very pleased with their visit. They explained what was wrong and what they were doing to repair it.

Pretty good overall, but not good in the area of charging for annual service checkup. It seems that you pay $399 for annual service checkups, but when the checkup is completed, you still receive a hefty invoice. So what was the $399 for?

MacFarlane has been very responsive to my issues. I have an outdoor tank that froze up a month ago due to extreme cold weather. Rob M. was at my door within a couple of hours and had the problem resolved in no time. Thanks for keeping the house warm.

Fantastic service! Very efficient and the problem was diagnosed very quickly. Problem occurred after standard business hours but Frank was able to come out within a 2 hour window which was phenomenal! Outstanding!

I had a problem with my oil burner. MacFarlane Energy said that a guy would visit within an hour and a half. He showed up in about half an hour. He fixed the problem quickly and was happy to explain to me exactly what he had done. The experience couldn't have been better, given that the oil burner failed in the first place.

After feeling pretty ripped-off by the provider we'd used forever, I did my homework and made the call to MacFarlane. The price was right on and although there was no urgency, I received all the requested info via email within minutes and within an hour of replying to that email, received a call asking if I'd like a technician to come the same day to survey our heating system. Very impressed. Within an hour of that call, Dennis arrived, did his thing, asked if we'd like to have the system serviced right then and in another hour or less it was all done and good-to-go. Dennis was professional, courteous and good-natured. All-in-all, who could ask for anything more??? We're glad we made the change to MacFarlane!

This is to commend Mike M for his wonderful work at our home troublingshooting , finding and fixing the many air and water pockets in our heating system. It was during one of the coldest weather spells so far of this winter. If all service providers could be as knowledgeable and efficient almost no one would have days of frigid weather in their houses. We have already started telling our friends and neighbors of our our extreme satisfaction with MacFarlane Energy and especially Mike M.(We meant to give you 5 stars, but obviously pushed a wrong key. My husband and I decided to replace our furnace and a/c system, which were installed 35 years ago. We contacted MacFarlane and a couple of other energy companies to give us bids. We were very pleased with their work from start to finish. They came in and took out the old systems and installed the new quickly and efficiently. We had to wait for an electrician to connect the a/c system for a while, but Dan Sellers was always available to help us out and get the work completed. When we had some trouble with our newly installed humidifier, MacFarlane sent workers out to fix the problem immediately. We have recommended them already to our sister and brother-in-law because we think they are a solid company and do great work.

On a very cold Sunday, Frank C. came soon after my call to fix my (oil) heat. He found the problem quickly, explained what was wrong, and even suggested how to improve performance in the future. I was completely satisfied with the service, and would highly recommend Frank C. and MacFarlane Oil.

The previous owner had enclosed the oil tank so guys couldn't get to it to replace broken vent/whistle. Office was so good to me and worked out the best time to come back. Will P. came while I was working, left the house spotless and locked it up when he was done. Great service!!

Tony C. visted with me to check a water valve inlet attached to our furnace. The problem was that the water pressure was low and I suspected the valve. I weas unfamiliar with that type of valve so I sought help from MacFarlane. Tony checked the valve which somehow was stuck and didn't allow water to flow. Tony touched it and that was all that it took to allow the water to flow. It was quick and fast and I appreciated Tony's assistance. I will keep an eye on the valve and have it replaced when necessary. L. Fasolino

Mark D. was at my house this morning. I placed a call to MacFarlane service at 8:30 and a technician was here before 10:00. Great service, as usual. I had no heat in two of my rooms. Mark was thoughtful, courteous and thorough. I have had many of MacFarlane employess at my home many times, and never had a discourteous emploiyee. Even the office help is pleasant. It is a pleasure doing business with MacFarlane.

MacFarlane has had great service since the day we started with them. Their service call availability is amazing - usually same day - and it's often the same service people who come by. Dennis C came most recently when one of our radiators had gone cold. He went above and beyond to teach me about our hot-water heating system, passing on a few troubleshooting steps we can take on our own the next time there is an issue. He even gave me his radiator bleeding key. I would recommend MacFarlane to anyone.

Boomer (service manager) took the time to come to our home to assess the problems with our oil fired hot water heater needing the air bled from the line 3 times per month. He proposed a no cost solution to fix the issue. When this solution did not fully work, he proposed paying for the labor and us paying for the parts (a most equitable solution, since this service was not covered by their comprehensive service contract). I was quite pleased with the thoughtful process put into resolving this problem. The service technician showed up on time, was professional and took care to leave our home clean. I highly recommend MacFarlane heating.
