All the staff at MacFarlane have been very helpful, regardless of the reason for our discussion. The bills are intelligible, notifications proactive and efficient, and the service staff polite, knowledgeable, concerned, and immaculately neat! They are everything you would wish in an oil service- which isn't as common as it once was. A !!!

Hello. I had a miserable experience with your company, and it started about two years ago. My AC had died and I was 9 months pregnant. You came out and did an assessment, and we decided it made the most sense to get a new condenser. At the time, the old condenser was so old you couldn't quite make out the writing on it. A comment was made about how it seemed to be larger than the house should need, so you weren't sure was size to put in. I just said whatever you think is best, since I am not an AC expert. We then had multiple problems with the system and you had to come out to my house several times. By July of 2016, it stopped working completely. A very nice technician Tom came out, and he couldn't figure out the problem, but tried a bunch of different things. He called me later to say that the problem was the unit was the wrong size, and they needed to put in a part that would automatically shut it down whenever it gets too cold. He said the company would follow up with me to set this up. The company never followed up and billed me for the two visits he made to my house trying to figure out the problem. I went to your office IN PERSON to discuss everything that had happened, and to explain why I was not going to pay for the service visits when the problem was caused by you putting in the wrong sized unit. No one was available to speak with me, so the woman I met with took notes and made phone calls and said the company would be in touch. No one EVER called me. Then it stopped working again (Tom had managed a temporary fix). This time, when I called, I explained everything that had happened so far and how I had not been followed up with twice. They said yes, that's why they were sending out a tech and a manager. I said great, because I need to talk with someone about everything that has happened, and I am very concerned this unit may continue to give us problems. I wonder if it may need to be replaced with the correct size unit. When they came out to do the work, I wasn't home, but my husband was. He was aware of everything that had transpired. The only words the manager said to him during the visit was "may we see your basement". Nothing else was mentioned or addressed (I understand my husband could have brought it up, but he was watching our one year old, and just assumed he would be approached for the conversation, and the next thing he knew they announced they were done and leaving). Then, I got another bill for that day's service. I do not intend to pay any of the bills you have sent me, since all of this relates back to you installing a unit that is too big for our house and has caused us nothing but problems. Also, it is ABOMINABLE the way your company has handled this situation

***** * did a great job in minimal time. He answered all my questions and provided some useful advice. He replaced a faulty thermostat I didn't know I had a problem with. With winter coming on I was glad he suggested testing thermostat while he was servicing oil burner.

My husband and I had MacFarlane Energy to our home for the first time on 8/19/2016 to repair the A/C. The A/C countinued to have problems but this company came out several times to the house and did solve the problem. We never were left in limbo about the problem. The service staff were great!!

roger d was great, he explained everything that he was going to do and did so in a timely manner. He was very punctional and neat. He has been doing my furnace for a few years and happy with his quality of work. Glad to be a customer for whatever reason I call MacFarlane everyone is very helpful and polite and try to accommodate me.

Thomas came to our house to tune up our furnace for the fall/winter. He was very professional, he was kind and cheerful too our young daughters, and he performed a thorough inspection and cleaning of our furnace. He clearly explained the results of the inspection when he was finished. Overall, a great experience!

Tony C. was timely, kind and efficient. He was helpful in moving some basement junk out of the way that my husband had left by the furnace. He was a cat whisperer with my skiddish, recently adopted pet. Most importantly, he got my old furnace running in peak condition. It used to sound like a jet engine at take off, now I don't even hear it. I'm a new customer to MacFarlane and so far I am extremely pleased.

On July 29 **** * came to service my furnace where it was turning off. After looking over the furnace **** told me something that has been told me in the past - that my type of ******* furnace had been originally included a too small window that often did not see the flame was burning and shut off thinking the flame was out. The service I had before MacFarlane had told me there was an upgraded part available with a bigger window. That former company said the part would need to be ordered and would cost me money. Will told me where I had the service plan it would not cost me to replace the part and that there was one in stock at their facility. **** then took the trouble to travel back to their facility so that he could install the upgrade that same day. Where I have to take time off from work to have my furnace serviced this was greatly appreciated. Not often do you have such attentive service.

We have been longtime customers and I found it discouraging the other day when the tech called and was at the wrong location 3 doors down. Now if we didn't have a big sign in front of our business, I could understand him being at the wrong location. We he finally arrived a short time later, he appeared ready fr his afternoon nap and not to tune up our 2 burners. He did say that he was new due to his company having been recently purchased by MacFarlane. But his lack of motivation and poor communication have stuck with me. I would not want this guy representing my company. In fact, I'd prefer he not be assigned to any further service calls that our bisomers may need.

I was very pleased with the repair service that Rob M. recently performed on both my boiler and hot water tank. I was concerned that the problem was much bigger than it actually was, but Rob fixed it up in no time! Very professional and courteous. My ac had been out for a week or more and I made an appointment with MacFarlane Energy, the company that installed my heating and ac system. I missed my first appointment window because I happened to have been in the hospital emergency room but the tech they sent out, Thomas R., was very understanding. He also showed up when I rescheduled the appointment, which I was pleasantly surprised to get on the same day I called. Thomas was friendly and knowledgeable and found a "hidden" leak that prior techs had missed. He left an hour later and my ac was working again, a real godsend with this heat wave approaching.
