My old heat pump was on its last leg so I began entertaining the idea of getting it fixed or replaced. I called 5 local companies to come and give me a bid for a brand new system and determine if my unit could even be fixed. After further review, my wife and I determined that we had to get it replaced. I had a bad heating/cooling system and called Carolina Air Care. I was extremely happy with every aspect of this situation. I called and scheduled a maintenance man to come to my house. He showed up at the promised time and immediately knew what the problem was. I just moved into this house a few months ago and my electric bill was over $400.00. David told me that it was caused by a bad system. When we turned the heat on it was only heating from the Aux Heat. He told me that the system was bad and the that I needed to replace the whole unit. I agreed with him and selected the best deal that was offered. The install team showed up on time and completed the install the next day. I work a lot of long hours and have very little down time so needless to say having to wait for different people to come out to take a look at the old unit and give quotes to replace it was becoming very frustrating. If it weren't for Allison I would not have gone with Carolina Air. She was very understanding and sent out a tech on a Sunday to accommodate my limited time frame. In January 2015, Carolina Air Care installed 2 Lennox mini splits and my home is now at a comfortable temperature. The mini splits were strategically placed to maximize performance and the compressor was installed to withstand the test of time. Installation crew were through, personable, everything was cleaned up and they made sure I was happy before they left. I called for a service issue, since I was smelling gas every time my heat came on. They came over promptly. When the service tech was inspecting my heating & air unit, he discovered that the inside of it had rusted out and it was leaking gas all over. My husband had been maintaining it for 21 years, but its time had run out. A cold snap was coming up in a few days and we wouldn't be able to turn on the heat! The service tech wrote me an estimate, showed me what sort of unit I should have & made payment arrangements and left. A short time later that day, he called & said they had an opening a couple of days later (before the cold snap!), if I wanted to do it then. I was working that day, but my son was home, so I said yes. They came over, put in the new system in a couple of hours, hauled off the old one, and checked to see if everything were working. It was! We went through the cold snap toasty and warm. A few days later, Carolina Air Care called back to see if we were having any issues with it. I was very impressed with their service.
