Filed complaint thru BBB regarding Century Link Communications and my inability to download a new copy of the McAfee internet security Century Link was now providing it's internet customers. I was only able to download 2 copies here at my home office and was not able to download a third copy at a different e mail address as part of my Century Link internet service. Got no where on telephone with agents of both Century Link and McAfee while each blamed the other for the problem and offered no solution. Some 2 or 3 weeks later I received a call on my phone from Century Link that was left as a message as I was not at home at time call arrived. The Century Link caller said they would call again in an attempt to resolve the problem, they never called again.

The BBB is, I think, the original consumer advocate group and best in the business. As long as businesses still care about ratings and doing a good job, the BBB is a great organization to help keep businesses honest. They do vary by chapter and location by the last two experiences in California and now Colorado have been great. They have helped a great deal. In Colorado they were able to help get a viable resolution, which is all most customers want. So thank you and remember to use BBB if the business does not want to help you with your issue. The BBB adds a bit more weight and knowledge to your team if you have tried and failed! Thank you BBB!

I was very clear in my response when I accepted the business's offer of a refund. Inexplicably, the Better Business Bureau representative either misread or misinterpreted my response and stated that I refused the business's offer of a refund and closed the complaint. Once a Better Business Bureau complaint is closed, there is no way to dispute the closure, contact the representative or contact any other human representative to resolve the error. Beware of the lack of competency of this Better Business Bureau office before filing a complaint through it.

Based on this experience, the consumer has very little chance of recourse against a large company. Large companies use lawyers to threaten consumers which is completely unfair in my estimation. The 'little guy' doesn't win, ever, even with a legitimate complaint. I can only hope that this company will think twice before using unfair practices.

Provided a solid case against Good Sam for outright deceptively selling roadside assistance which included towing for a slide-in truck bed camper which they flat out refused to tow my camper twice. BBB closed the complaint after they only offered to give me a pro rated refund minus the cost for only towing my truck, NOT not the camper, then saying that Good Sam made me “a reasonable offer”. Really? When I could clearly prove the camper was covered for towing and Good Sam refused to tow it. What a farce! Don’t bother with either BBB Denver or Good Sam roadside assistance folks. They’re both a total waste of your time.

BBB is only credible if it actually has a history of resolving issues. BBB Denver resolved my issue because the company I had problems immediately responded to them. THATS the kind of reputation a BBB needs to have! Thank you for keeping companies honest!

I am extremely happy that I chose to file my complaint with the BBB because the company in question refused to reimburse me even though they acknowledge they owed me the money. They immediately resolved it and repaid me once they were aware a BBB complaint had been filed.

Dont waste your time. BBB did absolutely nothing. APPLIANCE FACTORY sold me a used ice maker but represented it as new (and charged me accordingly). Their own warranty company (Brand Source) told me that as a "aftermarket" was already installed on the Kitchenaide ice maker. Save your time and energy and go to small claims court.

After not receiving correction directly from the client, I humbly outlined my problem and sent it to BBB. I sent a parallel copy of my complaint to the client. Within two days the client had responded and fixed the problem in another day. We all, BBB, client, and myself finished this transaction completely satisfied. Thanks you BBB.

I had a very frustrating experience with DISH where the final customer representative I reached "claimed" to be the highest level within DISH. After my posting on BBB, the customer service manager called me, listened to my experience, and thanked me for bringing this to his attention. He also remedied my complaints. If it weren't for BBB, I would have been stuck in another two-year commitment with DISH with apparently no resolution!

BBB did not help me reach a resolution for my complaint. The business was able to send the same multiple emails over and over and the BBB stated that they were closing the complaint because the company made a good faith effort to resolve it. My money has been stolen by Frontier Airlines and the BBB was not help in me receiving a credit or a refund.

They were not very helpful with my issues with Frontier and pretty much just accepted their response without acknowledging my issues and put the claimant down as they tried to help and I refused...They should have been held accountable for their actions and not just released without any bad score....

They closed my issue out because the company did a small part of what I requested. Even then the company messed up and wrote the check to the wrong person. 250 bucks doesn’t clear up the 1600 I am out from this company selling bad parts. The BBB should have better investigative skills to make sure customers like me aren’t just getting a bandaid. The company should not be in business and did not fix the issue I had yet my case is closed. Very disappointed.

I filed a complaint with BBB concerning AAS for denying repairs to my transmission under the service contract I purchased for my vehicle. Before BBB's involvement, I was refunded 1/3 of my purchase price. Within a few days, I heard back from BBB with details of the process; they had also contacted AAS, and as result, requested additional information from me. Based on BBB's intervention, I was advised a full refund was being issued. I know for a fact this wouldn't have happened without BBB interceding on my behalf. Even though I would have preferred repairs to my vehicle, I was at least made whole with a full refund. Never give up on business disputes without giving BBB an opportunity to intervene on your behalf!

Even though I didn't receive the response I wanted from the business. I had nothing but good customer service from the BBB. They were prompt, communicative, and they helped me realize you get what pay for. I now know to shop with business accredited by the BBB

After reading the response from the business and knowing that they gave completely incorrect information it was clear that I not going to accomplish anything. The business and their manager as always is not honest. I was never given a chance or even a bill to resolve issues before I was sent to a collection agency. The collection agency was given my file before 30 days of my move out. The manager said she does not deal with disputes. I told her that I had photos proving she was incorrect and she said it’s out of her hands. This company makes it a habit of stealing from former residents. They have been to court lost the court decision and still refused to pay in some instances. This is a dangerous company.

BBB contacted WOW cable very promptly and WOW said they would contact me within 30 days. WOW lied. BBB then closed out the complaint based on WOW's reply. BBB should have kept the complaint open until WOW actually sent my refund!!!

This was a very frustrating process. I have a string of emails that would help BBB better understand what transpired but was never able to send. The restaurant took over two months to respond. Once they said "we had our legal team look over the contract and we are in the right", BBB believed this and stopped the process. Based on this it was very surprising the Denver BBB completely ended the issue on the Denver restaurant. I asked the BBB the name of someone else who could help me further, and there was no response. I am not at all satisfied with this interaction.
