Would like to see the BBB have more power in reaching a mutually acceptable resolution between the parties. In my compliant the business was not willing to work towards a mutually acceptable resolution. Since the BBB does not have any leverage, the business can do as they please without penalty. Thereby leaving the consumer to find alternative means for resolution, which might cause the consumer to spend additional $ in getting acceptable resolution.

I called a company that continued to charge me for months after I had cancelled. The company would not refund the charges. However, after I contacted the BBB, the charges were refunded. The BBB was very helpful!

BBB always always always always helps - Do your own 'trying' with the business that you need help with and when they refuse to help you get the BBB on the case. All cases resolved that I've ever had to report.

Posted request to California BB and was forwarded to Colorado BB same day. Company re: compliant responded the very next day and refund within 2 days. Excellent service Thank you

Century link sent me a letter claiming they were going to lower my rates that did not happen I've got my current bill and they did not do what they said they were gonna do also they were supposed to credit me for the days that I was disconnected they did not far as I'm concerned they are liars.

Filed a report on TuffShed. They lied on their response, and BBB closed the claim. Had BBB open the claim again, only to have it right back closed taking the company's side...

I feel that you value the word of the business that is being complained about and not the consumer that has had the issue with the business. I feel that you dismiss the complaint against the Company because they cry about being wrongly accused of not taking care of the consumer.

I turned to the BBB to help me come to a resolution with a large airline - Frontier. This situation had been going on since June 2020. The airline responded once to my original complaint allowing me a single option to resolve the issue. I complied. After doing EXACTLY as directed the airline did not honor what they had agreed to. In fact, they ripped me off. They ended up taking several hundred dollars in a future travel voucher from a cancellation of a flight that was beyond anyone's control that occurred as a result of a COVID travel ban back in April 2020. I re-opened the complaint. In doing so, the airline responded yet again with a bogus, generic, automated response. The BBB didn't hold them accountable for the original agreement - even when its in writing - on the original complaint. The BBB didn't step in at all. I called out the airline and the BBB closed the complaint before an amicable, reasonable agreement was made. Basically, I found the whole experience unhelpful. I was not happy with the experience at all. I felt as if the complaint was "responded to" that was sufficient even though there was no resolution and the company did not stand behind their own original agreement. Its unfortunate.

I was beginning to lose hope in dealing with a specific business, I reached out to the BBB as a last ditch effort for a resolution. You guys promptly answered my complaint and advised me of the next steps in the process. I was relieved when the company answered and admitted it was their mistake. Thank you for your due diligence and for making this nightmare go away once and for all.

You allowed the business to have the last say and they lied. They said I signed a non refundable deposit. Which is not true. I can't respond so anyone looking at the review will think I signed a non refundable agreement. You allowed the business who took my money, to lie about me.

I was not able to respond to Dish Network response. Dish does not care about their customers. During this pandemic they told me anything to try to get me to stay with them. False promises, and don't follow-up with things. They hang up on you and don't call back.

Filing with BBB was easy and fast. They notified the business within a few hours and an agreement was reached within 24 hrs. Great experience!

My complaint did not result in a fix to the situation. The BBB closed my complaint without allowing me to follow up thoroughly. I was given one chance to reply to the company I complained about, I could not post any evidence to support my position, the company, Specialized Loan Services, basically posted their position which was erroneous, then the BBB closed my complaint....no resolution.

I was at a loss as to how to proceed when all attempts to resolve my issue directly with the company had dried up. The BBB was able to track down the correct group within company and get them to respond to my complaint. It was very satisfying to finally receive a favorable resolution after a year of attempts. Thank you BBB I will definitely use you again in the future if the need should arise.

All a business (Frontier Airlines) had to do is respond with questions that were answered if they read the complaint. The BBB says because the questions were answered/responded to, the issue was addressed. Never directly answered so what's the purpose of BBB?

Filed a complaint with BBB against ViaSat Internet Service. Did not hear back from either ViaSat or the BBB. Yesterday I received an e-mail from BBB stating, among other things, that my case was closed due to receiving no reply from me and attached was the response from ViaSat.. How did they propose I could do that without no correspondence received by me? My advice? don't even bother! VERY disappointed!

The only issue is in my case the business said it could take 3-5 Weeks for the check to be received. Even for a large business, the check in the mail resolution is tough, but I was confident I could file another claim with BBB if It did not show up in the mail.

I am so impressed on how quickly my concerns were addressed.
