Came back from the weekend to a very cold house on Sunday.
Dave came by and not only fixed my furnace but made a few tweaks to insure the problem would not happen again.

After trying other plumbers I decided to go with Armbrust due to their very good ratings. I made an appointment to have work done and Adam came right on time. He was careful, thorough and explained how he was going to do the job. He worked quickly and deliberately. It took about two hours to get the job done. He left the house as clean as it was when he arrived as he brought in a drop sheet for our carpeted stairs and cardboard to protect the floor and walls. Today was the first time I've called in Armbrust Plumbing and Adam was the representative who came to do the work. It was just 9 months since another company rodded my sewers and they already began to back up. Adam came prepared to do an excellent job. He had cardboard to keep my floors and walls clean. He stayed and made sure that the sewers were cleared. He explained everything he was doing. He worked quickly and very well. He was also very polite. I will definitely call on him again. Great job! Pat has done our plumbing work for the last couple of years. He is knowledgeable and tells it like it is. Pat had prepared us for the worst scenario and thank goodness it didn't turn out that way. Tom H. was very courteous and respectful of our home. He listened carefully to our description of the plumbing problem, took a look around, and then suggested the least destructive approach to solving the issue. We initially feared that extensive drywall would have to be cut, but Tom had a better approach. After listening to our description of the issue, he asked some of his own questions. He figured the pipes could be cleared by rodding and he made an educated guess as to what we were doing to cause them to clog. He cleared the pipes and educated us on what can and cannot be put down the toilets. He asked us to try what he suggested and see if that works, or if the clog returns to call him again and then we can consider more destructive plumbing techniques. But, he didn't think we'd have another issue. Our remodelling contracter was there at the time and remarked that a lot of other plumbers would have told us the worst and charged us the most. Patrick came in an emergency situation at the end of his day. We had a frozen pipe burst and he had the pipe exactly located, broke through the drywall, gave me the pipe that burst for insurance purpose, AND cleaned up the entire mess within 35 mins. In all the yeSrs of owning a home, and all too many times of needing a plumber, I've never had one as good as Patrick. He is extremely knowledgable and honest. We were very satisfied with the friendliness and speed in which the armbrust team fixed our plumbing issue. Patrick arrived right on time. He was able to figure out what was wrong and fix it within an hour. This was a huge relief for our family. Our hot water heater was out on the coldest day of winter. When it's -17 a warm shower is what you want. And shortly after he left - we had hot water. The main water valve to New Covenant Church in Naperville froze during our recent bitter cold weather and needed to be replaced. Armbrust was very responsive getting someone out to do the work during what was I'm sure a very busy week for them. They arrived exactly at the time promised. I can't say enough about the young man who did the work, Patrick Armbrust. He was courteous and professional and did a teriffic job in very difficult circumstances. The area he had to work in was very cramped to say the least and he had to remove a very stubborn 45 year old valve first before he could do the repairs. Needless to say, the church is very grateful that the repairs could be completed in a timely manner and that we did not have to cancel our Sunday services. Kudos to Armbrust for providing the services as promised during a trying week and to Patrick for his professionalism and hard work. We will definitely be using Armbrust again. Patrick A. 01/13/14 |

This January was the first below freezing arctic temps of the year and Armbrust helped us discover that our evacuation pump system stopped working with an analysis over the phone and they dispatched Tom Heyman to come to our rescue. Tom had a courteous and professional attitude and very good communication skills to explain the problem and solution and he was quick and efficient by arriving with the right pump to solve our plumbing challenge right away! Pat came to our home after hours for an emergency. We had a water pipe burst in the house. He literally finished all work from determining where the pipe was located to cleaning up the drywall and insulation within 1/2 hour. He was one of the best plumbers that I have had respond to a call. Extremely professional, efficient, and helpful in giving out a referral of someone to do the work we would need done. We recently had a frozen pipe burst in the garage from a bedroom up above. My daughter was home by herself and had no idea where the water shut off valve was in the house, and neither did I! Water was leaking like rain in the garage and our utility room. I called Armbrust Plumbing at 5:10pm, and left a voice message. From their message, I learned that they closed at 4:30pm on that day. I was just getting ready to call another plumber guessing that it could be a long time if anyone got back to me, if at all that night, and Pat called back five minutes after I left the message. I explained our emergency situation and although he was done for the day and on his way home, he would turn around and come immediately. I arrived to my house and Pat was already there. Within 30 mins. he had everything stabilized, cleaned all the drywall and insulation debris, and was done. He explained what had happened, how it happened, and asked if we had any questions. He also left us a name and phone number of someone he trusted to do the work that we would need done. Unfortunately we have had many opportunities to get to know plumbers in our area and Pat was by far the best we have had. I will use Armbrust Plumbing from now on. Fabulous service. I was so thankful for the quick resolution to my water heater problem. From the phone conversation to set up the service to the service provided by Patrick - I was completely impressed. Patrick was completely prepared to fix the issues with my water heater within 1 hour he diagnosed, repaired it, educated me on preventing issues and what to expect going forward. Patrick and Armbrust Plumbing were FABULOUS! Our hot water heater went out on a day that was -16 degrees. I called Armbrust. The wonderful person that answered the phone on friendly and knowledgeable. She gathered information to make sure that a service person would be able to fix the issue on the first visit, then She scheduled my appointment for the next day. Patrick arrived on time and was completely able to solve my problem in less than an hour. He also took time to build my know how on how to prevent this from happening again. Additionally, he completely documented the service so I could adequately communicate to my husband. I was so impressed and grateful to able to take a relaxing hot shower shortly after!
