Gerardo Thomas was super helpful and patient as he explained in layman's terms the functions of my new HVAC unit. I had a problem with setting the levels of heating so that the house would be comfortable throughout. He showed me the dampers and even fixed an unrelated problem with my outside air circulator. ARS of Laurel has been my heating and plumbing service provider for years and has normally provided outstanding service. There has never been problem with scheduling an appointment. The recent service calls by Mark Torres was better than exceptional due to his high level of professionalism. The specialist explained the problems and what would be required to resolve the problems. I called ARS through Home Depot to have an HVAC maintenance check. The initial service tech caused my system to malfunction. ARS sent him back out the next day only to leave me in the same situation. I complained to ARS and they sent out another tech, Steven Jones. Mr. Jones examined my system and quickly assessed the problem. The previous tech had the wires crossed which was causing my unit to function improperly. Mr. Jones was very professional and knowledgeable. He ensured my system was correct before he left. I would like to commend Matthew - "Matt" G. for his professionalism and expertise when he came to my home on November 14th. He was extremely persistent and took the time to resolve my plumbing issues. It was evident that he "really" wanted to make sure that I would not have this problem with my pipes in the future. HOPEFULLY, that will not be the case. He was very courteous and explained what he was doing to resolve this issue - step by step. The gentleman who came to check my gas furnace was Steven Jones. He was both informative and professional. He put on his booties upon entering my house to avoid tracking in dirt and during his inspection, he had all the necessary tools with him so he didn't have to go back to his vehicle for anything. I didn't know what to expect when I contacted ARS of Laurel to conduct an inspection of my furnace and determine why it was malfunctioning, but I'm definitely glad that Darnell was assigned to the job. He was professional and very personable. Even though the people who dispatched him failed to mention to him that the job entailed more than a mere inspection and he ultimately realized that it would take longer than he anticipated, he maintained his composure and continued to effect the necessary repairs. Since I have previously dealt with service technicians who became disgruntled when they were faced with "surprises" about a service call, I really appreciated the way Darnell seemed dedicated to his profession and to me as his immediate customer. I recently purchased the house and the furnace is old, so I am sure the repair was not one that a less experienced tech would have been equipped to handle.
