I was pleased with my service technician, Yonas Makonen, he was very polite and did his job well. The only thing that displeased me was the cost. I was charged $49.00 for the service call for same noise problem I had last year. I just paid for my service maintenance for the year and they checked out my gas heating unit in Sept. In addition to the $49 service charge I paid ECM surge blower motor protector which was $164.00. The unite is not that old, purchased in 2010 with a 10 year warranty. I feel I should not be charged for the $49 service fee, very unhappy with the labor a pricing fees with ARS.

Jean Paul just completed my inspection. He was prompt and courteous. He made some recommendations and explained everything very clearly. He highlighted sale prices which helped me make the decision to move forward with them. He made sure I understood all the pricing. I've had ARS as my HVAC provider for many years and the service has always been great.

Tomas was excellent from moment of arrival until he left for his next appointment. He was polite, easy-going, and knowledgeable. He showed me his ID badge before he entered my home, shook my hand, was gentle with my dogs, and friendly with my three-year-old son (all things I want--and are hard to find--in any home service visit). He made a few recommendations and cleaned a couple pieces in our furnace, before finishing up. He explained a lot about filter maintenance and also what a new humidifier and UV air cleaner could do for house--making me think more about purchasing these items. If we have maintenance or any type of service again through ARS, we can only hope to get Tomas again!

Joseph M came to my house in Laurel to review and do a checkup on my gas HVAC system. He was very detailed and explained each step as he reviewed the HVAC system. I wish all service techs were like him because it would make the experience so much more pleasant. He is someone that you should have train the other reps as they join ARS because he has great interaction with the customers and communicates well. He is very knowledgeable about the HVAC systems and makes sure that the customer is satisfied before he leaves. Good Experience!

I wish I could post two separate reviews since my three-day experience with this company was SO varied. My initial appointment was scheduled between 5 and 8pm, although the technician contacted me at 10:30am and wanted to show up within 30 minutes. Since I work full time and didn't get the voicemail until that evening, I assumed the initial appointment was still on. Silly me. No one ever showed up, no one called and when I called the call center, no one called me back. Strike one. I called the next morning to inquire about the no-show and was fortunately able to get a same day appointment. The technician arrived within the 10am to 2pm window, although his first question was regarding payment, not about the problem. He spent some time reviewing the upstairs furnace and stated that the system was working fine, although he wrote up several costly recommendations. That evening, the temperature on the upper floor dropped from 69 to 63 and the furnace continued to blow cold air. Clearly, the system was not working. Strike two. I called again the next morning and finally talked to someone helpful, who arranged to have a different technician (Tomas) come out to review the system again for no additional charge. Tomas was on time, friendly, knowledgeable and managed to figure out what was wrong with the heating system. Although I was not thrilled overall with ARS, I definitely appreciate the level of service and professionalism that Tomas exhibited. He explained all of the problems in a non-condescending manner and made the whole process a little better. If you get Tomas assigned to your work call, you are lucky...he's the only thing that saved this company from a strike three!

Thomas really went above and beyond the call of duty. He came out for a routine service visit, but took the time to walk me through my house and explain my heating system to me and the various components. He offered suggestions to me for maintenance on my system that I should be doing on my own.

There were two technicians, Joe and Bill, who came to fix my 15 year-old furnace that wouldn't start. They were very knowledgeable of the unit and quickly identified and explained the problem in simple terms. They informed me of the cost and time estimate to replace the broken igniter and clogged gas line prior to doing the work. They cleaned up afterwards and recommended that I get a free no-obligation estimate on a new more efficient system, which I scheduled right away. Great job, good customer service and very personable. I request Paul to provide spring and fall HVAC service because he is professional, competent, all around nice guy, and he loves my Golden Retriever. Fall service on Friday, October 23, 2015 was not an exception. Paul arrived on-time and paid exceptional attention to ensuring that my system was ready for winter work. Pleasant and competent. I wish there were more technicians like Big Show. I have the highest regard for his professional competency and inter-personal skills at answering all of my dumb questions in a manner that suggests strongly that he is as interested in my concerns as he is focused on the technical care he consistently provides.

I had the pleasure of getting a new humidifier installed by Tomas Cruz, and ARS/Rescue Rooter Laurel technician. He was truly amazing - professional, polite, responsive. He patiently explained to me the truth I didn't want to hear, such as my humidifier was long dead, and I would be best to replace it with a new, powerful one. He showed me the usual cost and available discounts, since I had a service plan with ARS. He came a week later and did a great job.
