I have been VERY dissatisfied by every other heating/cooling company out there that was only out to sell me something or fix something that my heater/air conditioner didn't need !!! Typical technician sales junk ...
Then I accidentally came across UNIQUE Indoor Comfort Heating and Cooling's flyer in the mail, so I decided to give them a try. To my HAPPY SURPRISE, in came in an HONEST, KIND and RESPECTFUL Technician who had MY best interest at heart. No sales pitches, No parts I didn't need, No BS. Frank serviced my heaters and answered all of my questions with honesty. I have owned my own home for 35 years and have NEVER liked any company until now. We just had our boiler, hot water heater and AC replaced by the team at UIC. Matt, who came out to provide an estimate, was thorough and informative, upfront and honest with us. He was more than willing to address all the questions and concerns we had via email and phone. He worked with us on pricing for the entire project, too. I didn't meet Dam and Joie, who installed our boiler, but my husband said they were delightful. They walked Chris through how to work our new boiler, and explained to him all the components. Alex and Felix did the AC installation; they were courteous and informative, again explaining what to look for that may signal a problem. UIC may not be the cheapest option, but you get what you pay for, which are knowledgable professionals who ensure the job is done correctly. Very highly recommended. I am in the 5th month of my first service contract with Unique. While their maintenance fee is a bit higher than my last provider, they deliver significant value for that price. Both my spring and winter service appointments were smooth and I had 1 service call to replace a part in my AC unit during a 90 degree week this summer. They came out within 2 hours, fixed the part (capacitor) in 15 minutes and were gone. No charge and nothing for me to even sign. I have met 2 different technicians at this point and they were both polite, knowledgeable and generally a pleasure to deal with during my 3 interactions so far. Our air conditioning stopped working and was leaking on a Saturday night and we contacted Unique Indoor Comfort Sunday morning and they were here by the time it started to get hot again on Sunday. We were very pleased with their service. Recently purchased a complete HVAC system and have been extremely pleased. I also purchased the ongoing service maintenance package. Recently Dimos came for our heating maintenance. I must say Unique is the best. They called to alert me that the technician was on their way. They arrived on the earlier side of the time slot (greatly appreciated). Technician arrived, introduced himself, handed me a business card, asked to come in, used appropriate shoe coverings and did the service.
