Nick with Tipping Hat did a great job setting my swamp cooler up for the summer. His customer service skills were great and he even swapped out a heater air filter out for me as I was talking to him about it. The only negative things I can say were NOT about Nick or the service he provided-- but the phone person I talked to at Tipping Hat. First they quoted me a price of $99.00, which was fine-- then they "added" a home service fee of 29.00 which was NOT okay-- granted, they did waive it for me because they could tell I don't like surprises. But they should have been up front about the fee. Also they did not on the phone tell me they don't normally change cooler pads-- they do it but it is extra also. Although the cost for services took a bit to digest (completely outside Chris' control), the services itself were top notch and coupled with a detailed explanation to mitigate and avoid future issues. Nick saved the day twice with this gas forced air furnace. The first time, replacing an exhaust flue that had corroded through and was venting exhaust gases inside the house. The second time was to clean service and certify it so that it could be covered under a home warranty for the new buyers of the house. This is an old furnace. At 5pm, 5-20-16, Kevin from Tipping Hat serviced the air conditioning units on my property. He called about 4:30pm to let me know that he was on his way to my location. Upon arrival, he introduced himself, presented his identification, and proceeded to work. Kevin was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable in dispatching his duties. He answered all my questions, showed me how to operate the units, and made recommendations for me. Kevin worked fast and the price was very reasonable. I was impressed to the point that I will use Tipping Hat for all my services and repairs (heating, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical). I tip my hat to Kevin and Tipping Hat Services.

I found a magnet on the phone book and decided to call Tipping Hat. I'm glad I did. They are the first vendor that suggested running a camera in the main line to see if there was a problem and where it would be. I was told that just preventive cleaning of the main was not really necessary (I have tree root issues) because of the stress the tool used can sometimes cause damage to the old clay pipes. Found I had no blockages but it showed the sewer has sunk and will probably need to be fixed. Feel much better and more informed than before. Thanks Neil. My water heater was gushing water out the bottom of it late on a saturday afternoon. I spoke with Chris and he said he would have his service guy call me. Chad promptly called and said he would be here as soon as he could. He is very knowledgable and did more than he was expected to do. He got everything up to code, replaced the water heater, removed the water softner unit and was able to repair the valve instead of replacing it which would have cost more. He kept the cost as low as he could. He worked very late on a saturday night with Nick. Justin came out to look at a problem I was having with maintaining appropriate temperatures in the upstairs area of my home. He was timely and knowledgeable, not to mention friendly and helpful. He did perform some minor adjustments which made a difference in the distribution of heat in my home. His solution saved me a lot of money and I appreciate his honesty in not trying to upsell me on equipment I did not need. Would most definitely call this company again the next time I have a heating, cooling, or plumbing problem. They really are a cut above the typical companies I've experienced in the past. This experience with Tipping Hat was truly remarkable. In fact, they handled my service exceptionally well from beginning to end.
Having seen their ad offering a free second opinion, I called to have them check our furnace. Kevin arrived right on time and proceeded with courtesy and professionalism to diagnose the problem.
Unlike the service provider who had first checked this problem, Kevin didn't stop when he first got the diagnostic code from the furnace. Instead, he went on to check and carry out a simple fix. So rather than replacing two expensive parts, he simply cleaned out a tube. That easy procedure fixed the problem, saving us over $1,000 in unnecessary repairs … and this was on a FREE second-opinion service call.

Fast and Effective - needed to replace our hot water heater when it broke unexpectedly. They scheduled a visit the same day, within 3 hours, and offered a competitive estimate compared to competitors. While looking over the work to be done, the two HVAC professional assessed Carbon Monoxide threats and electrical concerns as well. Was referred to Tipping Hat by Home Adviser. The original water heater in our home (19 years) had a leaking drain valve. They sent Kevin E. out to inspect the system and after an inspection with a camera that viewed the interior of the heater it was determined it was rusted and should be replaced. The parts were delivered and Kevin did the job that day and updated the necessary valves, pipes and expansion tank to proper code. All done by 1 pm and cleaned up. Good job! Thanks.
