I have to say that my tech Jonathan Euell was great and very professional. He got the job done. My problem lies with their pricing. I had one solder weld that needed to be re-soldered which is a relatively small job. They charged me $365 which I believe for such an easy job to be outrageous. We were referred to Tipping Hat after discovering a leak from a toilet we tried to repair on our our own. They answered my request for an appointment promptly, scheduled the visit according to a time most convenient for us, followed up with an email letting us know who to expect at our home and showed up on time. They were clean, professional and quickly found a valve that hadn't been tightened all the way. They changed out a part and only charged us $29 - for everything! I had a very good experience this company and Brian who came to provide a furnace inspection/tune-up. I was able to schedule this appointment easily over the phone in just a day or two. Brain was very knowledgeable while answering many questions I had about my aging furnace and gave me reassurance that with all of the parts that have been replaced over the years, that it should still last for a few more with nothing needing replacement at this time. He and the truck he arrived in looked very professional; however, I wished he had used the shoe covers since he came in with wet shoes (the day after a snowstorm) . Also, he was kind enough to take a quick look at the pilot light that would not stay on in my fireplace, but unfortunately, this was not his expertise and was not able to fix this, but did recommend a dealer to call. Had another company cancel last minute for routine service so I didn't want to re schedule with them. Found tipping hat via a mailer and took a chance. I have never been more impressed with the service provided by Justin at Tipping Hat! I needed an outlet installed for a new stove one week before Thanksgiving. You can imagine the nightmare I went through calling around trying to find someone who would even come before the holiday. I called Tipping Hat and they sent someone out the next day! Justin was very honest and knowledgeable about how to handle the repair. Many service calls I have made like this in the past have left me feeling ripped off. Since the average person knows very little about wiring they can pretty much tell you whatever they want. Not Justin! He showed me what the process was and walked me through the expected result and cost. The job was performed flawlessly and now I have a much safer and secure outlet in my home! When I get Kevin, I feel we are old hats (not a play on words). Again, Kevin provided the professionalism that is symbolic of your company. He gave us four quotes and explained the significance of each which allowed my wife and I to make the best decision for us. On top of that. He presented a great financing package that afforded us to have the work done. With Kevin it's a visitation not a job on his part. Your company have the right concept. Kevin did a fantastic job from start to finish. The appointment was for a furnace/a.c. tune-up. He inspected both while providing feedback on their condition but not forcing a new purchase. He provided answers to my questions in simple terms and recommended we keep an eye on the furnace due to its age (original to the house at 22 years old) but the a.c., despite its exposure to the elements, was in good working order. I called Tipping Hat due to my heat not working. Kevin E. was the young man that came to look at the problem I was having. He explained to me that my heater was the original for my house 30 yrs old, and that I need to get a replacement. I had the best experience I have ever had with a plumbing and heating company with Keith P. from Tipping Hat Plumbing, Heating, and Electric. Keith was very knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating . I had a tight schedule for my installation of my thermostat in my home. He waited ..for me in front of my home until I arrived. He worked quickly and provided me with a beauty ring around my thermostat to eliminate scarring of my wall. We scheduled an appointment for a tune up on our furnace. Philip called to let us know that Chris was on his way and he showed up right on time. He was so courteous and helpful - he explained some of the parts on our furnace and showed us what to check for if we run into issues since it is an older furnace.
While he was inspecting the furnace he noticed that our water heater had some corrosion on it since the two appliances are right next to each other. He suggested that it should probably be replaced in the near future (we were actually expecting this news when we bought our house) due to the amount of corrosion and he seemed genuinely concerned about the water heater and he wasn't just trying to make a sale. He gave some prices (which many of the other companies wouldn't do without charging for an inspection) for different options and told us about financing.
We also need some of our electrical rewired so we called to schedule an appointment for them to look at what needs to be done. They were able to come inspect it within 3 days and we will be be getting both items fixed within a week and for a much better price than another company with great financing. Chris S. 11/04/15 |

This is the company to go to for heating problems. Brian V. diagnosed the furnace problem almost immediately. He then proceeded to inspect and clean the rest of the furnace.
