Justin came by to fix an outlet in my barn. He was thoughtful, fast and utterly polite. He was able to fix the outlet in record time and was kind enough to ask if I needed him to close the gate to my property. I was getting a popping noise when I flipped the kitchen light switch, so was concerned. I called 3 different elec companies that had good reviews online, but Tipping Hat offered the best deal as far as their estimate charge, so Justin came out. He found the problem right away. It was a short in the smoke detector - of all things! It had even blackened an area on the ceiling!!! Scary!!! Justin took it down and let me know it would be cheaper for me to just buy a new one and he'd install it 2 days later for a VERY reasonable amount. Justin was great - very professional, but a sweetheart. He also recommended that I replace my breaker box, but because I'm in the middle of a WC case and getting ready to retire, I really don't have the funds now, but when my case is settled, I'll be calling him for an estimate. Our house is over 60 years old and has many issues. Tipping Hat has provided excellent service in dealing fixing all of the problems that have come up. Whenever Kevin, Chad, or Nick have been in our home they have always been very professional, respectful and helpful. As a stay at home mom it is wonderful to be able to count on a company that employs people that I am comfortable having in my home and around my family. Ken, Eric and Phillip provide superb customer service from the first phone call, to contact throughout the day on when the technician will be arriving!-- Very helpful with napping kiddos!!! After each experience I have with Tipping Hat I am more and more impressed with the work they do and at the price point they provide it at. Between my garbage disposal needing replacing/rewiring (right before Thanksgiving!), bathroom sink u-bend replacement, and multiple AC issues, I can safely attest to Tipping Hat's highest level of quality and service! Kieth was wonderful to work with regarding a clog kitchen drain in and older house. Kieth kept his commitments and did what he said he was going to do in a prompt and professional manner. Kieth treated your house like it was his own. A person needs to be concerned about costs and the suggestions that Keith provided also helped to save on future costs, especially, for the older homes. I've used Tipping Hat Plumbing, Heating, and Electric before, and had great service. So when I noticed that my swamp cooler was making a slapping banging noise, I thought something might be wrong. One great thing about Tipping Hat is that they can come on the weekends-- and quickly. I was surprised toward the end of June that they had a Saturday open. Chad came in, was quite friendly, and professional, and after telling him the issue, he checked out the swamp cooler. He found the issue and was able to temporarily correct it-- it needs a part to fully correct it-- but at least I knew it would continue working without causing damage to the cooler. I also was installing a window air conditioner in my bedroom window and Chad was extremely helpful in assisting me in setting it up. He even had several helpful hints to have it work better. While I must say that Tipping Hat is a little more expensive than other companies I have dealt with, they are more readily available if you need something done on a weekend, and they go all over the place, so they can probably get to your house as well. Our hot water heater broke and it really sucked. Kieth from Tipping Hat came out and explained the situation and gave us a few options. I really wanted the problem to be fixed as quickly as possible! Luckily, because his communication was attentive and he got all our questions answered quickly, we were able to make a decision and get the installation of the new water heater scheduled for the next day. They were careful to cover the stairs with plastic and keep everything clean. They were efficient installing the new 75 gallon tank in just a couple of hours and when they finished Kieth showed me the basic features on the new water heater. We had hot water about 2 hours after they left, then I went on a hot water binge doing laundry and dishes. I am happy to say that we won't have to worry about this happening again for 10 years because we got the service plan, which was very reasonable. Our experience with Tipping Hat has been amazing. It all began with Phillip who answers the phone with the best phone opener a service company can have "This is Phillip I CAN help you". He listened carefully and patiently of our situation and set up the best time he could to get someone out and offered to send someone out sooner if they had any cancellations. He made us feel like all the reviews we found online for Tipping Hat were completely accurate. Now Chad aka the Greatest Technician Ever just left after an extremely challenging day repairing our air conditioning and all I can say is we are beyond grateful for all he did. He was one of the most engaging and customer focused techs we have ever met. He was incredibly knowledgable, friendly and seemed genuinely concerned with our comfort. He offered additional tips on how to get our home environment even more enjoyable. Clearly this young man is highly skilled and an overall a kind person. Well Tipping Hat just cancelled a third appointment. If you want to waste your afternoon or should I say three afternoons then go ahead and schedule an appointment. The 1st appointment they didn't even call, the 2nd and 3rd appointments made a week in advance, they were short staff running, then busy with another job. The team at Tipping Hat turned a very bad situation into one where we didn't have to worry about a thing from the first step. They were able to come out quicker than any other place and they had the best pricing with the initial diagnostic. The repair specialist (Chad) started off the process and made it very easy to understand what happened and why. He was then able to get his Supervisor over to our home in about 20 minutes to go over all of our options. Kevin did a great job in explaining differences in units and why you would go with one over another. He wasn't pushy and genuinely have some great advice which is why we purchased then and there. On top of that they were able to come out and do the installation the next day, a 2 day process compared to their competitors that couldn't come out for over a week. The day of the installation went just as advertised as Nick was able to complete everything, even in a challenging home which took him longer then it should. Everyone we dealt with was great and we would highly recommend Tipping Hat for any of their services and they will be our go to service provider for our plumbing, heating, and electrical needs. I had coupons sent in a neighborhood flyer which helped a lot because normal price to replace a $5.00 light switch and a 5 minute job was $200.00 which I though was really high.When A/C finally goes I probably will have Tipping Hat come out for an estimate to replace. Very Satisfied with the service received from Chad and the team at Tipping Hat Plumbing, Heating and Electric. We had called another company to start with, to come out and look at our air conditioner, they were going to charge $100.00 just to come out and diagnose the problem. Upon receiving in the mail, a flyer with Tipping Hats information, we gave them a call and we are so glad we did. Chad was very nice and knew what he was doing. It ended up that a wire was just disconnected. He didn't try and sell me parts that weren't needed.

Five-star experience with Tipping Hat and service specialist Chad. Hottest week of the year and AC goes out. First company I called was two weeks before next available appointment. Tipping Hat got me in the next day. They called me twice during the day to tell me exactly when Chad would arrive. We were the last appointment of a 12 hour day and Chad arrived polite, courteous and generally excited about his job, the company and his ability to help us out. He found the problem in less than a minute and had a spare part in the truck. Job done. He insisted on wearing shoe covers even when we told him it was unnecessary, he pointed out a coupon we could use when we're ready to replace water heater, and the price was very reasonable. Justin was awesome. Again. He was on time, which I appreciate. He was here to install a complicated ceiling fan, pendent lights, vanity lights and 2 outdoor lights. He stayed until almost 6pm to finish everything and then apologized that he couldn't do the outside lights. Due to lightening. I will have only Justin do my electrical work.
