Kevin is the man! In the middle of January I came home to find I had no heat. As it turns out I had a relay and gas valve go bad on me. When I placed the call Kevin was out on another couple of jobs, but he made it to my home in great time. He diagnosed the issue and ran to go get parts. Upon his arrival back to the house he was able to get it back up and working in minutes. Kevin even gave me a discount as he had worked at my house recently on some other issues I had. He felt bad that I ran into issues so recently after he was there the about 30 days prior. I will definitely use Tipping Hat again and request Kevin!!! Tipping Hat has a customer for life!! The Tipping Hat electrical team arrived in a timely manner as pre-scheduled. They provided reasonable alternative solutions. They proceeded with the one selected in a professional and efficient manner. Both Justin and Bret were courteous and very attentive regarding maintaining a clean and safe working area. Price was a little high, but their attitude toward timely repair was attractive. They cleaned up the work area on their own. From the first phone call to our smiling faces and thank yous at the door when the repair team left, it was a very pleasant experience to a 'shocking' situation. Justin and Phil arrived as agreed, and after introductions, set about to inspect the outage, then provided clear and concise alternatives. When agree tastings and pricing was established, they set about to repair the failed wiring and plug outlet. All was done in an acceptable time with what appears to be a very professional fix. The pricing was a little hug, but they arrived ready to complete the repair in a very safe and efficient manner including having my wife exclaim her pleasure for them wearing shoe covers while in the house, and their clearing their work area when finished. I was very happy with the service on my furnace I received from Tipping Hat. John, my technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. I was interested in learning more about my furnace operation and still did a thorough job on my furnace while explaining its operation to me in an understandable way. Great service at a great price. This was my first time using Tipping Hat and I have to say I was very pleased with the service and will def. use them in the future. I requested a check of the heating system...not that I was having a problem but just to be sure. Kevin arrived promptly at the scheduled time and explained everything as he checked the heating system. While he made recommendations, I felt no pressure to make an "on the spot" decision. As a bonus, my humidifier line was leaking, Kevin replaced the line and it is good as new! I was also looking for a prevention plan. Most plans only cover two visits per year. Faced with an unknown, big expense, just days before Christmas, the team at Tipping Hat was able to replace our home furnace and AC unit in no time flat (was best to replace original 41 year old unit at the same time) and that is with changing the orientation of the unit, moving it for more space in the room and dealing with other "issues" that needed to be addressed with the duct work and patiently guided us through the process and educating us about Excel rebates and financing options on both pieces. Great experience!! I had a tough time choosing someone to come out because you just never know if peope will live up to their claims of good service. Kevin and John were prompt on appointment time, explained everything to me, made recommendations without any pressure to purchase additional services. Very knowledgeable and thorough. They emailed a copy of everything they recommended along with my invoice before they left the house. Johnathan was very knowledgeable and was honest with me about my plumbing issue. I had scheduled Tipping Hat to come out to do a main line rooter which I thought would fix my problem (drain in basement was backing up when doing laundry). After Johnathan took a look at the line, he assured me that he could do the main line rooter, but it wouldn't fix my problem. Rather than taking my $89 and then telling me what the real problem was, he simply fixed the problem at hand and assured me that if the problem was not fixed, there would be no charge. I received a bulk mailer coupon for this company as I was prepping my home to sell. I was looking for a deal but found nothing less than top notch customer service, honesty, and genuine, professional work. It started with the phone customer service of Ken and continued with the professional and knowledgeable work that John D. provided. If you are looking for a company that prices fairly, works professionally, and gives honest, great, personality..... I highly recommend Ken as your front man and John D as your go to man. From start to finish, I was pleased with the level of service I received from Tipping Hat and Service Tech Brian. He was prompt, knowledgeable, professional and efficient.. He also put on shoe covers over his footwear to not track dirt through my house. He arrived exactly on time and only needed one hour to conduct the work. They inspected and power washed my pipe and told me that they would not recommend replacing the pipe at this time, which had been recommended to me by another plumbing service. Tipping Hat did a fine, efficient job in repairing my gas heater. The blower motor on my forced air gas heater went out. Brian V, our Tipping Hat HVAC service tech, had it repaired and up and going the same day. Great job at a fair price. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

We received a Tipping Hat flyer in the mail. we called and set up an appointment for our main to be cleaned. When Jonathan arrived he said since we had a back up in the basement sink he needed to run the (free) camera to see if the stoppage was from the sink to the main or the main out to the street. I had scheduled to have the main cleaned, as something we do every year for maintenance. Jonathan wouldn't do the main but asked if I wanted the free camera to find where the problem was. My understanding was that he would not do the main without the camera. I did ask if he wouldn't do the main without the camera why he showed up without the camera. Because they only have one camera. He did charge me $29.00 for a service fee. My husband called when he got home and the person he spoke to was just as unscrupulous as Jonathan. Bottom line, I will be contacting American Express to not pay the charge and Tipping Hat will not get my business which would have included a new hot water heater. Everyone at Tipping Hat was extremely helpful and professional. Kevin and Brian looked at my furnace on Friday and when I decided later that day to get new one, Kevin arranged to have it installed the next day...on a holiday weekend, no less! Kevin was straightforward and didn't try to sell me more than I could afford. He even took the time to speak to my brother that lives out of state. The installation crew was great as well.
