Justin did a great job working on my various house issues. While we couldn't get everything done, he made sure what we did do was taken care of. Justin was quite helpful in supplying information on possibilities, and I was pleased with the result.
What has nothing to do with Justin were the various communication issues through their office. They need to work on that. But Justin was always good about calling me back once I called him directly. Justin B. 10/12/16 |

I had two fans replaced and one new fan installed. I had three chandeliers replaced. One of which was around 30 feet high with difficult access. I had one kitchen fixture removed and replace with cam lights and one fixture removed in a laundry room and cam lights installed. I had 9 ceiling lights replaced along with new dimmer switches. I had two completely new celling lights installed with dimmers The workers were on time and efficient. Did a great job. Would highly recommend. Were not pushy in collecting money and did not collect money until issue with making sure all dimmers were the same was resolved Only criticism was they did not have tarps with them to cover area where they had to drill into ceiling. Tipping Hat installed a new Water Heater, Furnace and AC for me. A bit over priced compared to competitors but higher end equipment and install comes with years of extra maintenance so i suppose the price balances out. Plus they helped me get the whole job financed at 0% interest for 60 months so not too bad. Kevin was a very knowledgeable supervisor that came out after the work was done to walk me through everything and inspect his technicians work. Equipment looks good, runs good and the install was clean, plus they threw in a fancy touchscreen programmable thermostat with the HVAC sys they installed. There was a bit of a fumble in the scheduling of the original appointment and the follow up inspection appointment, but not too big of a deal. The new furnace comes with 4 years of filters which is nice but its been a couple weeks and they keep forgetting to bring them to me but i trust we'll get it sorted out eventually. Chad came out on a Saturday to give us an estimate on the repairs to be done, which is a nice change, and he was very thorough in reviewing our heating system for the leaks/components we wanted fixed. He was honest about his level of expertise on boilers and what he would have to refer to his boss. Amanda worked very well with me on Chad's arrival window and kept me posted on the day of the visit.

After more than one visit to figure out my various issues, Justin was able to submit possibilities, and once we things got taken care of, he made sure on the follow-up that everything was taken care. While here were missteps along the way on the original order-- mainly communication issues- that got cleared up to my satisfaction. Just make sure on the phone that you get the correct information and ask a lot of questions as that was where the issues were-- I understand mix-ups, but on the phone they need to improve their service, which is the one negative that I must stress. However, this was not Justin's fault, so I move on from that. He was quite helpful in the various steps along the way, as was his associate- Chad- who submitted more than one suggestion on how to proceed as he was the one who originally responded to the order. Both were professional and quite helpful, and I would recommend Tipping Hat if you have an issue to get looked at, as they are good at giving options and then taking care of the issue. We love working with Tipping Hat and Justin Brown, one of the electrician supervisors. We called them on a whim because of their trucks and received a quote for a second electric box install in our basement to be much lower than several other companies we had received bids from. They were so much lower that we may not have actually tried them out, except that we had worked with Justin when he was at a prior company and we remembered each other.
The service was great and when we had some questions a few weeks later (today), Tipping Hat sent Justin back out to check on things and answer all of our questions. We will absolutely use them again for other home maintenance needs we have! Thank you, Justin!!! Justin B. 09/27/16 |

JB was the service pro that came and looked at our furnace and he was excellent. He was efficient, courteous, and well educated on the ins and outs of furnaces. Tipping Hat had a fall special going for furnace tune-up at $19.99. I had a friend warn me that I might get suckered into fixing a bunch of things on the furnace, but I did not have that experience. Our technician showed up within the 2 hour window and called when he was 30 min. away. I also got an email with his picture ahead of time. He was efficient, did good work and was honest about the furnace, saying that we might want to keep an eye on one component, but otherwise it is in good shape. Scheduled your company to come and clean our mainline. This did not happen. Instead I was told part of the sewer line in our home was broken and they would need to jack hammer our basement to replace it. Luckily, we called in another company for a second opinion and there was absolutely nothing wrong with any pipes in our home. The issue was some root blockage in our mainline in the yard which was resolved by the mainline being cleaned. Thankful we didn't sign off for this company to jack hammer in our basement. 09/25/16 |

Judd came to help my electrical problem. He was on time and pleasantly introduced himself at the door. I explained the problem and he got out a meter and checked the current at an outlet and found no problem, I had not been able to plug a lamp into that outlet for quite a spell. He checked another outlet and found the outlet to also be working properly. What I really appreciated the most came next when I expected him to bill me for the trip to my home. There was NO charge. Joe arrived exactly at the appointed time. He was very courteous and professional. The reason for the service call was a second opinion (which was a free service) to a previous diagnostic from another HVAC company recommending the replacement of the inducer motor on our furnace. Joe ran diagnostic tests and the results did not indicate a need for further service and/or replacement. This was welcome news to a potential cost of $700-$800. The fact there was no hard sell for additional services made for an even more pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend using Tipping Hat for those in need of HVAC services. I had an electrical problem with one of my outlets so I tried Tipping Hat because they came up on my Google search. My tech Justin was very nice and professional. He fixed the issue quickly and let me verify that it was indeed fixed. He even wore shoe covers to not bring in any dirt into the house. The tech was great. Judd was excellent! I received a phone call letting me know he would be arriving in about 30 minutes and he was right on time. Judd was professional, knowledgeable, and simply a cool guy. He took a few minutes prior to looking at anything to get a download from me on what the issue was and resolved the issue quickly.
