Thank you so much to the MacFarlane Team! They really saved the day for us. Our boiler stopped working on New Years Eve when the temperature was dipping below zero. They were at our house in an hour and fixed the issue. Rob was very knowledgeable and patient with our situation. Without MacFarlane's quick response we would have had to leave our home.

Johnny came to our rescue today as we ran out of oil due to a miscommunication with our landlord. We called Macfarlane and they sent someone over in this blizzard Boston has been having when no other company would help! Johnny came right away and got us the emergency oil so we wouldn’t freeze overnight. Thanks again!

Thomas did a great job fixing the problem, and rerouted the overflow pipe for us so will be much easier to remove buckets if we do have any future overflow issues.

O degrees at 12 midnight and called MacFarlane. Tech Thomas R. called back within a 1/2 hour and said it would be a couple of hours. He called to say he was on his way and made it in under the 2 hrs. Had us up and running and waited to be sure for almost an extra 20 min.! Wasn't satisfied till he knew it was not going to shut down again. Very friendly on a miserable night. I'd recommend MacFarlane anytime.

My oil burner broke down at approximately 8 pm. I am not under contract with any oil company, and I couldn't find any company willing to come out after hours because I wasn't a customer. I didn't hold that against any of these companies, because it was obviously my own fault. After numerous calls, I got Thomas R. He was on his way to a call and it didn't look good for him to get to me, but he would keep me posted. In the meantime I had been calling eight other companies. Tom was the only guy willing to try to help me out. Everyone else either didn't get back to me, or couldn't help me until the next day. He called me back at about 11; he was able to fit me in. He arrived, was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and fixed the burner in about 30 minutes, saving me from a very unpleasant night. Despite not being a contracted customer he gave me outstanding service and is a tribute to MacFarlane Energy.

I had no heat on Christmas Day, 2017, and Darren C. promptly returned my call placed to the MacFarlane dispacher ... only about a half an hour after I called them. I had asked him to call me when he was on his way to my house, and he did (many service people promise to do that, but they don't). When he arrived, he was very courteous, did his work quickly, and answered my questions completely. This was his second visit to my house, and I was very satisfied both times. He's a great asset to MacFarlane.

We have been a customer of MacFarlane Oil for over 35 years. The year we moved into our current home the heat went out on Christmas and they sent someone right away to restore our heat. Last night we came home around 10:00 PM and there was no heat. We called thinking we could let them know we needed service but we were willing to wait until the next morning. A few minutes later Thomas called and said he was not too far away and he came right over. He diagnosed the problem and notified the company of the parts we needed and came over this afternoon and everything is now working. We have met many technicians over the years and they are knowledgeable and efficient. I have recommended MacFarlane to many of my clients and will continue to do so.

Fantastic service. I had a heating emergency at night in December . I called into MAcfarlane . The call was answered promptly and professionally. The on call technician , Thomas R. Called in within 5 minutes and was at my home in 30 minutes @ 10pm! He worked very thoroughly , diligently and methodically and figured out the problem and was able to fix the issue to get perfect readings . The whole process took him past midnight. All the while Thomas was patient. courteous and professional. He answered all my questions. He made sure the heating system was cleaned up as well . I am very very impressed by the services rendered by Thomas R. And I am a very happy customer of Macfarlane Energy .

Thomas R arrived on time. Had watched the video I sent that included a "tour" of my water heater and heat & electric grid, and that included the awful & frightening sound emanating from what appeared to be the electrical box. He assessed the situation, replaced needed parts, checked out the whole heating system and instructed me in layman's terms in the purpose and function of each part of the system, & in what had gone wrong to cause the awful noise. Thomas was a really nice guy, helpful, thorough, and informative. I will be using MacFarlane again, and will highly recommend the company to my family and friends in town.

Tony serviced my schedule oil heating tune-up this morning. The first thing he asked is whether I have noticed any heating problem. Well I do. He listened attentively as I told him that my heating sometime stopped working after I replacing the water in the boiler, and to get it working again is by making a hard knock on the drain pipe's housing (That's how MacFarlane's repairman finally got it working after I made an emergency call last winter). He then worked on the problem and did the service for 2.5 hours. Afterward, he explained that the problem is due to the built-up dirt in the housing that prevented the float from rising, and he took it apart and scrapped it clean. I have been with MacFarlane for 11 years. There were some good and some not so good service people over the years, but the service people in the last 3 years were very good to excellent.

They are also incredibly reasonably priced and their technicians and customer service are top notch. Thomas came out today within an hour of my phone call, fixed the heat, replaced the broken part, and was professional and nice. I can’t say enough about this company. Thank you (again)!

John G. and his crew installed a new boiler for us. He was knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and responsible, and the work was very clean and sturdy looking. We've always used MacFarlane for boiler maintenance and now can recommend them for install work as well. The only issue that occurred was turning off the gas to install the boiler caused our on-demand water heater to malfunction, which we discovered several hours later and had a hard time resolving ourselves, so we recommended they add a check for such issues to their after-project cleanup activities.

Clearly the A team. Pleasant, polite, respectful, efficient - made the whole process seamless for me. Came when they promised, came early in the morning and stayed the whole day (even brought their lunch so they didn't abandon everything at midday per the usual contractors around here), finished in the time they said, cleaned up after better than it was. Responsive to my questions and concerns, even asked where I wanted machinery placed and let me know when they were leaving for the day. Didn't tramp through my house and make a mess. They stayed to accept delivery of items even when a crazy storm created a power outage that held them up a day. They knew what they were doing and came to do it. And so far everything looks good and even works! Thanks guys!

This company is one of the best I've ever dealt with. The technicians who come to the house are always so friendly and helpful (especially Thomas R.) and are incredibly thorough. They spend over an hour tuning up/cleaning our boiler to get it ready for winter whereas in the past other companies have spent 10 minutes and claimed "it's all set". I've even called MacFarlane Energy over the weekend with questions and a tech called be back immediately and stayed on the phone with me until the issue was resolved...at no cost. Highly recommend this company's services. Very fortunate to have them nearby!
