I called at 8am to a schedule an annual maintenance on my A/C system and when I told him I was smelled an odor the last time I turned it on, they sent a tech right over! Johnny F was courteous, and knew exactly what was wrong. It was fixed in no time at all. Johnny was great! I highly recommend MacFarlane.

I just had Macfarlane come to my house for the first time. Other than some scheduling glitches at the beginning of the week with the office, Johnny, the tech was super personable, explained things clearly and was thorough. I will definitely call them again.

The service representative arrived on time and showed me parts that needed replacing. He worked efficiently but still engaged in pleasant conversation. My replacement parts were covered under my "no surprises" service policy and I ad the rest of the day to myself.

So we started having trouble with our furnace in our 4th winter this year and someone in the Mom's of Dedham facebook page recommended MacFarlane. They were able to get into see use quickly and work with my schedule. I called to get both our furnace and AC unit serviced. I was given a 3 hour window for them to show up so I figured it would be 12 before anyone rang our door bell. Johnny F was early! I have NEVER had this happen, it was amazing. Though he didn't have good news for us he was able to explain to me what was going on and what we need to do for it, unfortunately it means a new furnace for us. He also serviced the AC unit and cleaned it up good as new and in good working order! We have MacFarlane coming to give us an estimate a new furnace for us. But they will be doing all the service for us in the future for sure! And if I can I will be requesting Johnny!

John G installed a new oil boiler and water heater and removed the old unit. He was the consummate professional . The work was done quickly , efficiently and very neatly . He was very patient and answered all our questions in a courteous and professional manner . Honest, up front, professional, explained everything he noticed and what it meant. Noticed a potential code issue with our exhausts and supplies, told his manager, they didn't charge us for the furnace service because he said they wanted to review the code and then come back and service the unit. He even tidy up work done by another contractor on another condos boiler because the piping wasn't attached properly. Top notch.

Darren C have serviced our heating system many times over the years. He is always careful, knowledgeable, courteous. This time was no exception. He was able to diagnose a problem that had eluded other people, fix it promptly, and he stayed extra time to make sure the fix actually worked. And he even took off his boots so as not to get our carpets wet! Really appreciated his consideration!

My Buderus GB142 boiler started throwing an error code (6A 227). I called MacFarlane Energy and they had someone knowledgeable with Buderus boilers at my house in a little over an hour. Frank worked fast but also took the tome to explain everything to me. He had all the parts to fix the igniter on his truck. He didn’t have one part unrelated to my initial problem but someone else from MacFarlane dropped it off. Frank also noticed that I had some debris from the natural gas building up so he went and talked to. National Grid employee working in the neighborhood and we were able to arrange for National Grid to come back to install a filter for the natural gas supply. The boiler was up and running within a few hours of my phone call. Overall very satisfied and would definitely recommend MacFarlane.

I was given a time frame of 8-11am, and at 8am Daniel was there ready to service my heating system. My cats were curious about him and he shared his concerns about the cat going down to the basement. He asked about them. He has come the last 3 years to service my heating system. I have never been disappointed with his work and service.

The team at MacFarlane is great. They are very responsive and professional. I had a leaky boiler. When Tony came to repair it he consulted with his install team on the issue and was proactive with documenting the problem so that if a new boiler was needed, I did not have to explain the problem again in the future. He also set aside time to fix a radiator that was not part of the appointment.

I called your emergency phone number last evening and got a call from one of your employees within five minutes. Later, Tony came to my house and quickly figured out why my boiler was not working. He changed the parts, cleaned up the unit, and brought the boiler to life. Afterwards, he stayed in the driveway for about twenty minutes to make sure everything was fine before driving away. He is very polite, professional and experienced. He is the guy who truly loves what he does and cares the people he serves. Thank you so much Tony and MacFarlane Energy! I know I can depend on you.

MacFarlane oil is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It's really sad to say this because Scott's father was a great man and what a serious caring owner. Now unfortunately the service has definitely declined. When I spoke to Scott the owner about simple lock in rates along with boiler prices his responses were rather rude. I hope I just caught him at a bad time because if not he has no future in customer service. I've now decided to go back to my old oil company that I never should have left ADVANCED ENERGY. I will now go back to lower oil prices and Real customer service. I'm just letting people know that this owner not only was rude and ignorant by basically calling me dumb. His prices are very easily beaten by competitors. This man doesn't pay fair wages to his employees at least the ones I've talked to. So give him a call see for yourself a greedy millionaire that pays his help scraps. I would gladly take this post down if Scott MacFarlane can Show any big charity donations him and his MacFarlane oil company has made towards helping youths or cancer research that the rude millionaire would get a tax write off for any way. So Scott thanks for being extremely rude. I pray one day you treat your help and customers better while you drive in that custom Audi to your multi million dollar home in Needham.

In our converting from oil to gas, John G started the installation process on Thursday, which was completed by Jimmy M. Both did an excellent job and are reliable. A couple of weeks afterward, John G stopped by, as there was an issue, which he immediately determined and explained thoroughly in a way that the lay person could understand. Really appreciate his kindness and professionalness.

Tom did an incredible job to fix my Buderus boiler which was not working. He carefully dismantled the motor, thoroughly cleaned it, reassembled everything, and installed a new filter by the oil tank. He did an outstanding job and was very courteous and friendly. You are fortunate to have such a skilled and capable employee. I am most grateful that my heat has been restored. Thanks very much!

Stephanie L was very pleasant to talk to when I called to schedule my annual furnace maintenance. Tony C came today to perform the annual maintenance. I remembered him from last year. He was able to solve a noise problem with the furnace that technicians from another company were unable to diagnose or fix for over 10 years. He explained that it had to do with the fan housing becoming loose due to the normal movement of the fan. Tightened it up and we're good to go for another year. Everyone I have talked to at MacFarlane is friendly and helpful. So glad we switched to them. I highly recommend them.
