Luis S. was an excellent, professional, polite, respectful, thorough, informative and truly awesome tech! But the appliance repair program I'm paying monthly for, not so much, which makes me need to give the rating a 4 instead of a 5. ! He gave me an honest answer to my AC problem. He went on my roof to view the package AC unit on my condo. The problem is that the 40-year-old unit has coils that need cleaning to allow airflow for a line to unfreeze before the real problem can be assessed, but the old unit likely uses an R22 Refrigerant which the EPA will not allow being replaced. Home Smart requires me to have the coils cleaned, ($500 - 1000 estimate after calling around) then pay for a service call ($???.??) to fix the other issue only to likely find I have to replace. Given the age and outdated nature of the equipment which is not efficient, I would have expected HomeSmart to just tell me to replace and grant me the reimbursement for the replacement to get current equipment. Instead, I have to throw good money after bad to get to the point of replacement with their program. NOT Good HomeSmart!!! Bad, Bad, Bad!. Is Xcel truly interested in having consumers update to efficient equipment to save energy? I would say no, so far, based on the outcome of experience trying to use the Appliance Repair Program. I will need to replace the AC. I'd rather put the money I would spend on trying to repair into a new install as that will cost in the neighborhood of $7K to $10K.

He finished quickly and quietly, ending with a clear, concise and informative review of his work, the system (Air Conditioner unit) status, as well as recommendations for long term improved operation and lifespan. More than I had hoped. A model of effective and efficient professional service. Excellent.

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank Luis Sanchez for his outstanding service here today on my air conditioning unit. He arrived exactly on time . He was so kind and professionally presented. Luis had to quickly change his approach as our landlord reported that this service call was for maintenance when actually it was for a repair. He kindly explained that he would need a bit more time to complete the repairs. He then went straight to work and shortly our air conditioning was working great. Additionally he competently explained what he had done and how we could better manage our system. So please express my gratitude for an excellent service, provided by an exceptional service technician. Thank you Luis

Luis S. (Service Pro) went above and beyond!! Not only did he do a fantastic job fixing our furnace, but he FOUND A GAS LEAK on the hot water heater and tightened the valve to fix it!!! Luis S. Was sent to our home by Xcele homesmart regarding a smell of burnt wires and smoke that we detect ed earlier in the morning. Luis arrive on time, he was very respectful. After looking at the furnace he knew what was wrong. Made a call to inform his boss came back into the house and fixed the problem. Giving very informative information to avoid similar issues. He was very nice and kind. Had a smile on his face and know what he was talking about . Gave us time to ask questions and was able to answer appropriately. He did a thorough furnace inspection at my home and explained what he was doing at the time of the furnace inspection. He answered all my questions and went above and beyond to address all my concerns. He was very polite and a great human being. I thank you Randy B for being so nice during your visit to my home for my furnace inspection. I highly recommend Randy B to customers needing a furnace inspection from Xcel Energy Home Smart Program. I only wished Xcel Energy Home Smart program offered a senior discount, especially to Xcel Energy retirees.

On the 19th of Feb. 2019 Luis came by to do a checkup/maintenance on my furnace. He was polite, informative and personable. He stayed on task, performed the job he was requested for and I am so glad I not only signed up for the HomeSmart program with Excel. They have great employees contracted and Luis did a great job and I would recommend HomeSmart and Luis to anyone.

David P., came to our house and had to fix a boiler problem. The boiler is in the crawl space of our home. Usually when someone come out to fix something in our crawl space they complain, not David no complaints, he stated no problem we'll get the job done. David was always courteous which you do not find much of anymore. Further David found something else wrong with our system and made arrangements for someone to fix it. The customer service at Excel's Home Smart is A-1 with me. Hire more people like David P. Thanks the Wickershams

Randy was the ultimate professional in servicing our furnace problem. He was kind, polite and efficient in his approach to fixing the problem. I admired how he diagnosed and expertly checked each part to determine why the furnace had stopped operating. Although he did not have a part (Printed Circuit Board) with him to complete the repair, he made it possible for us to have heat until the part was delivered to our residence the next day. He followed up to make sure the part had arrived and scheduled to come back the next day to complete the repair. As usual, his professionalism and customer service was outstanding to complete the repair. David called and asked if it abwas alright to come earlier than scheduled. It was not a problem and when he arrived and asked some questions about the problem, which was the furnace. The furnace had been turned off because of the noise it had been making. When he was told what was wrong, he asked us to turn the furnace on and then off after he heard the noise. It turned out to be a bad motor and he called to get a new one. He left to get the part and was back within an hour and completed the job. He was very polite and answered the questions that we had.
