Professional, courteous and prompt was technician Thad. My ac unit was blowing out warm air. Showing me photos of the wear and tear of my ac unit yet fixing only what needed to be fixed/replaced, the capacitor. He was neither pushy about additional servicing nor zealous about their preventative service program, which is the way it should be. Pricing appears to be in line with other companies. I plan on using for future ac servicing. All around nice guy.

i was charged $585 for a condesor fan motor! I checked parts on line and it should be able $150 I knew what they were gonna charge me this but since it was 88F in my house, i needed it done right away

We have Hays come out every year for a maintenance check. We did not have any issues with our system prior to calling Hays. We were only looking for the annual maintenance check. Your technician suggested we replace the capacitor. He obviously didn't not have the correct size capacitor, but installed one anyway. A few hours later we had to call Hays again because the system was not working. The second technician stated that the variable speed motor was out and that "we owe you a motor" I feel that we should be reimbursed for the capacitor as well, since we probably didn't need it. Disappointed that Hays would try to sell us something when the system was operating fine. .

AC technician Jim Clark came to our home to do an inspection and provide recommendations for optimizing our air flow and cooling with a possible new unit. He was very thorough and to the point and had my trust from the start of our conversation. I have dealt with many A/C technicians and contractors and this has been one of the best experiences I've ever had.

Here is what I poster to YELP SHAME ON YOU!!!! The AC died at our business today and what do I do.... I go you Yelp Call the highest rated company and scheduled a service call. Guy shows up early PERFECT Relief soon! After 30min or so the tech come in and tells me "The fan is dead and your unit will need an OEM fan because the "Rescue" fans we keep in our vans wont work with your unit. On top of that, the compressor overheated and we wont know if it will reset until it cools, so it could need more than just a fan." I say okay, what are we looking at? He said "Our "Rescue" fans run $700-$750 but since yours needs an OEM fan your probably over $1,000" shocked I ask for a quote so we can talk to our building owner and make a decision. He says sure, no problem. He goes to his van and come back a few minutes later and e-mails me an invoice for the $79 service call and a $1,250 Estimate to JUST swap the fan... If the compressor was bad then that would be a whole other thing. We happily paid him for the $79 service call and told him we will let him know what we want to do about the fan once we speak to the building owner. After the Hays tech leaves, I call the building owner and she referred me to the guy that has worked on the unit in the past. I call him and let him know what Hays said and he choked at the $1250 and said I'll be out in a little bit, but I suspect I can replace it for you for $400-$500 Tops. He said if you can go up and get me the the fan motor HP Rating, RPM and Shaft size I can grab the correct motor on my way and get you up and running. He did agree that we are still hoping that the compressor survived but that's just the chance we have to take. I'm a fabricator and a mechanic and a general smart guy so I climb up and get all the info off the motor including the Model and part number. I call the guy that the building owner referred me to give him the info and after getting off the phone I decide out of curiosity to google the Model & Part number...... and holy crap! Here is a link: https://www.google.com/search?q=Fasco+D7907+&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 I can buy it all day long for under $88. I own an auto parts business and by no means am I expecting to pay internet price to have some one come and replace a fan, but lets be real here.... I would expect to pay $250'ish for the fan motor and $250 TOPS for 30min in labor it will take to swap that fan. This sort of predatory business practice is shameful. I have a call into them about this and before she told me she would have a manager call me she said "We guarantee our work" WOW that must be some guarantee. Motor Make & Model: Fasco D7907 Here is the exact quote that was written on top of my invoice "No cool diagnosis.Found the outdoor fan motor burnt out and the compressor tripped out on thermal overload.Tempstar Heat pump/Ac unit,have to get O.E.M. Motor 5/8 shaft and fan blade.Quote for the total repair $1250. The unit is 18 years old.Unit mod. # yj060gb1 ser# l980474847.The tenant is the one who called in the service call.He is going to try to get the landlord to authorize the repair.Recommend getting a new system estimate because of age.No guarantee that the compressor will reset." Other company came and replaced it for $300 Works great!

Frank is professional & courteous in character and knowledgable in the HVAC field. He took the time to inform me of the issue with the unit and then explained the necessary repairs he would be performing. Frank is one of the "good" guys. Kudos to Hay's Heating & Cooling and Plumbing. They have professional technicians and amazing office staff.

My initial experience with Hays involved replacing my previous HVAC setup with an entirely new one. I knew from the first day the installers came that Hays would be my go-to for all my HVAC needs. Everyone was courteous, knowledgeable, and took great pride in the quality and efficiency of their work. They left with everything looking clean and Since that experience I've had to call them once during off-hours (Sunday evening) due to a blown capacitor in 2014. The tech on-call that night was professional and efficient and quickly recalled and installed the new part, getting my A/C up and running within an hour after his arrival. After that visit I decided paying for a PMA from Hays was worth every penny. Yesterday I had the pleasure of having Thad come to resolve an issue with my A/C not cooling my home to the temperature set at the thermostat, but instead hovering around 80 degrees. He judged the problem to be low refrigerant and added some to my system which so far appears to have resolved the problem. He was very professional and courteous. I've been having Hays service my A/C for almost 6 years and I've yet to be disappointed by them. Their PMA is an outstanding deal (off-hour maintenance calls are free!), their employees are great pride in their demeanor and work, and they've always been able to resolve my problems.

Absolutely outstanding service - I have NEVER been more impressed! Called in the early am, got an immediate call back to schedule an appointment, and received same-day service on a 110 degree day. Mike S was prompt, straightforward and honest about my issue, and had the system checked, cleaned and running smooth in no time. When have you ever been told that your issue is minor, won't cost you more than the trip charge, and the whole system is in great shape? I will tell everyone I know to call Hays! Thank you Mike!

Courteous and efficient staff. Our air conditioning unit was out in 108 temperatures.All other companies said they were a week out. I got an appointment same day for late that afternoon . To my surprise I received a call saying they could send out a technician earlier if I was available. Jerry came out . I employed the Hays team to do an initial system check of 2 A/C units at a property that my wife and I were looking to purchase. I have to say, everything about the experience was first class. During the inspection process I dealt with a number of other utility and service companies, BY FAR, this was the easiest and smoothest experience. Everything from scheduling and onsite visits to the contact with the inside team and billing. All first class and friendly to boot. I also had the team come back to my property to fulfill some of the maintenance needs that were proposed by the technician. I was under the gun in getting some of the stuff completed. They sent out the same tech (Mike)the very next day (Mike was awesome btw), did the work, reviewed it very thoroughly, and were out the door. Best part, NO PAPERWORK!!! Everything was emailed to me right away. If only all service/utility companies operated like this. They have really embraced the technology options available to them and I really appreciate that. In addition to all this, I couldn't figure out how to work the secondary thermostat, user error obviously. I called the Hays team back and they sent someone to my house at the end of the day, during rush hour!!! The tech checked over everything and walked me through the functions of the thermostat. Again, awesome service, but best part, I got a $0 invoice. Great service, great pricing, overall awesome business. They certainly have a life long customer. Thanks again Hays Team!!!

Had Hayes come out to fix a clogged condensation line. Thad cut the line, cleared it, and put in a connection to more easily access the line in the future. He also discovered an unnecessary filter and removed it. He then saw that the drain pan was not tilted enough to run water to the drain hole,so he adjusted that. His initiative to find and repair problems not in the original work order was most appreciated, (all of his adjustments were done at no charge to me and after consulting me on whether to go ahead with them). All the time working in an attic at 140 degrees!

Both of your HVAC techs did not solve anything, the first one only adding Freon when it was actually the motor over amping by 2.5 plus. the second only suggested an expensive replacement of parts but due to the age of the unit was more into the sale of a new unit. after hearing this and spending a few extra nights sleeping hot in our home and out $150.00 I had another company fix what was really wrong for $280. total. it appears your company is filled with liars, crooks, and incompetent technicians. I will never use you again and will spread the work like a grass fire on a windy day!

from start to finish a well organized company . we requested an estimate to replace a split cooling and heat system, information received via e mail which we used to identify cost and unit efficiency. we liked what was sent and we requested service, prior to which sales mngr visited to verify verbal job description. the morning for install two agents bob and ray arrived. without hesitation they identified themselves and what the job would be, work started unpacking new product and disconnecting old units , like clockwork crane arrives removes old equipt from roof and loads new unit onto roof. installation continued again another vehicle arrives and picks up packing materials and old units and cleans around site work continued without problems , after install finished bob explained work done and ray cleaned up tools and inspected area for cleanliness. very satisfied.

Our AC was blowing hot air last night, called Hays this morning after reading all the positive reviews on Google. They had a tech (Travis) out to me by 1:00 the same day. They provided an up front service cost which was reasonable and comparable to others at $79.99. After explaining the problem to Travis, who listened intently at what I had to say, he immediately diagnosed the problem as a "frozen" compressor due to low Puron. He reversed the thermostat to thaw out the unit, added Puron and cleaned off my AC units. In addition, he removed all my AC filters as I was unable due to a recent knee replacement! Travis took care of business, was prompt, courteous and professional and treated me like a long-time Hay's customer although this was my first time using the company. At the end of my service call, he asked if I wanted the maintenance program without the added pressure of trying to up sell anything. We discussed the probability of replacing the unit he serviced and thought it might be better to wait on the maintenance since we'll be replacing it. This was my first time using Hay's, but it certainly won't be my last! I highly recommend these guys for your AC needs! Prices are very reasonable as well. Thanks Hay's and Travis for a great experience on an otherwise bad problem!

Dependable, friendly service. The entire team at Hays worked diligently with me when trying to wrap up service quickly as I was selling my house. Manny came to do my twice yearly prevention check-up and maintenance on 2 of my A/C units and troubleshooted another A/C unit until he figured out the issue and fixed it.. Quick and reliable. My air conditioner quit working in the afternoon on a 110 degrees Phoenix day. I called Hays A/C and they fit me in for a service call in a few hours. Mike (technician) was professional and friendly. Most importantly, he was honest. Since I was stuck with no air conditioning, he could have easily replaced a bunch of parts that weren't broken. He didn't. He came off the roof and showed me pictures of a couple broken wires that he had fixed. He billed me for the service call and a simple repair. I was relieved I was treated with respect and honestly. I would definitely call Hays again.

I have only good things to say about Hays. They took care of our older HVAC unit, they bid a new system and then came back the next year for another bid, they put in a great new system for us. The service techs have been professional, thoughtful, and articulate. Everyone from the office staff to the techs really try to take care of you, any time there's a problem. Get their service plan, you won't regret it. These guys are a pleasure to work with.

Our A/C unit started squealing last night. After reading a few reviews last night I called Hays. Even though they don't open until 7:00 AM, I called at 6:45 hoping someone could help ASAP; especially since they temp had climbed from 76 to 84. They answered & were very courteous . They took my info and had a scheduler call me back. They were able to fit me in for a 5-7 PM time slot which was better than any of the other companies I checked that were at least 2-3 days out. I was pleasantly surprised when they called back at 2:20 & said they could have someone here in 45 min. Jerry S. came right away; found the problem & replaced the capacitor. While I was on the phone with my husband explaining the problem and the cost Jerry also checked our other unit & for that capacitor was about to go out as well. If our units weren't 13 years old we would have signed up for the warranty program; however, it just didn't make sense for us since we'll have to replace the systems soon and any other parts will be much more expensive. Rather than me trying to explain the costs or components Jerry spoke directly to my husband making everything clear. He even e-mail my husband the estimate for the parts and trip charge for today and the estimate if we were to sign up for the warranty program. Jerry was very honest and professional; he definitely went above and beyond and we truly appreciate his service. I will be sure to recommend Hays Cooling & Heating to everyone we know in need of help with HVAC. For the 1st point of contact to the end Hays was professional, polite, honest and all at a very reasonable price.

I was surprised when my AC went out in the 119 summer temps that they could come out the next evening, much sooner than any other company. Thad was to be here between 5-8pm and I got a call telling me he was running late and it would be the latter part of his time fram when he would be here. What?! A phone call? Who does that? It was only 7pm when he arrived and I had a 40 minute call ahead from Thad when he was on his way. Unfortunately he only had one part I needed on his truck and it was after 8pm so he had to return the next day but their prices are competitive and I got a discount because I signed up for the biannual checkups and they waived the service call. Hays is the way to go. Thad gets 5 stars also and should be recognized by Hays for his professionalism and performance. They are lucky to have him as a representative for their company.

Our AC unit was not cooling efficiently and I learned of Hays Cooling & Heating from their positive customer reviews. The reviews were quite detailed which indicated to me that they are a company who focuses on customer satisfaction through great service. I was impressed with what their customers were saying about their professionalism when servicing customer AC needs so I decided to give them a try. I was very impressed with their front office in keeping me informed of when the AC technician would arrive. You even get an e-mail letting you know the name of the technician who will be arriving to perform the service. When Travis the AC technician arrived, he was quick to determine the problem and performed the repair. Travis was experienced, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to work with. As the President of a Property Management firm, I know what it means to have a service provider who does what they say they are going to do. With the extreme heat in Phoenix this summer and a faulty a/c unit, I know that customers are probably a little on edge. I called early in the morning, and was fortunate enough to get an early evening appointment. The office staff called twice during the day to assure me that we were still going to receive service, but that calls were lasting longer than anticipated. 30 mins out, Thad called to say he was on his way. He arrived with a smile (despite being 12-13 hours on the job) and was the most pleasant and professional young man, I have ever met. He took the time to truly troubleshoot the problem, testing as he went. And, for our extremely old system, he had the part on his truck. We were back up and running in 45 minutes. Amazing service, from all the staff. I would recommend Hays to anyone and they just went to the top of my book for preventative maintenance too. Thank you!!

Mike came to my house in Verrado after I had 7 visits from a variety of different companies and technicians. He was on time (the first person that showed up when committed), professional, and here is the best part.......he knew what he was doing and actually fixed the problem. I have used Hays Cooling and Heating LLC now for several years, from servicing my two units, as well as installing new ones when my old ones "bit the dust." Hays' personnel are always friendly over the phone, are sensitive to one's needs, and are quick to give one an appointment, even if service is required on weekends. In April, Mike S. performed my 2x/year maintenance and as usual, he was polite, told me the status of all his work and inspection, and gave me some tips on how to get the best performance out of them. A good company to do business with.
