We are very pleased with the work Jeff our technician did. We had an appointment scheduled with Hays and the main office called to see if they could come out early which worked out great for us. We had great experience with the HVAC side of the business from beginning to end. Krystal was friendly and courteous when I scheduled the appointment, and she also confirmed when the technician, Mike, was on his way to our home.
Mike was professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain all the work that he performed, and reassured us with his thorough examination of our system inside and outside by giving it a thumbs up. Bill Schwegman was our representative who did an outstanding job of explaining and quantifying all of the needs and costs of our AC/Heating needs for replacement of the systems. He set up the date for the service for a few days later and everything went off like clockwork. All five of the employees were very friendly, efficient and professional and their work was thorough to include cleanup. We would highly recommend this company and all of their employees!! Jeff serviced my AC system very quickly and gave me a clear rundown on the condition of my system. He also recommended a safety kill switch to prevent any water damage if my attic-installed unit ever malfunctioned. He also did a good job of "post service" cleanup where he did service. High Marks! Super Company: Jeff serviced my two Trane A/C-Heat units. He was a very pleasant person to deal with, worked efficiently, gave me some helpful hints, and was very friendly. He also did not try to sell me something (unlike I have experienced with another company in the past)! The Hays Cooling & Heating LLC company has serviced my units since 9/2010, and I have alway had excellent service and help from not only the technicians, but from the office personnel, to even the owner! Mike with Hays cooling, heating and plumbing showed up on time as promised, diagnosed the problem quickly. He provided price for parts and labor before repairing the issue. He finished quickly and was probably one of the nicest guys in the HVAC field. Mike S. provided an excellent and thorough inspection of our broken A/C unit. He took the time to show us exactly what was wrong and why we should weigh the pros/cons of keeping our older unit versus buying a new one. Bill S. was excellent in providing us with the information we needed to make a decision to purchase a new unit. He was knowledgeable, honest and not overbearing. Nearly one year ago we had both of our heating/cooling units replaced by Hays Heating and Cooling. Since then we have had two regular services performed, per our service agreement with Hays. From the start Chris Hays and his company have completely exceeded expectations at every turn. They are true professionals that strive for excellent customer service and outstanding results. I have referred Hays to other clients and friends since, and the result it always the same, they are outstanding. We have done business with Hays for approx. 3 years. We have always had prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service technicians. At a past service call, we needed a capacitor replaced. The technician told us he could replace the one we have which is a double capacitor or just use a single capacitor. He said the double capacitor is really overkill and our system could run well on a single. We opted for the single, which was less expensive. We never had any problems with the system. Since then we moved to a different home. This was the first time Hays did a preventative maintenance call. Kirk checked our system and told us it is a Trane system. He then said the capacitor is weakening but should make until next year. He was early to the appointment which was great. Hays Cooling, Heating & Plumbing has always been very honest and fair with me. They have great costumer service and are always on time (and they call when they are headed over to let you know they are coming). Mike was the technician who arrived on their last service call, and he was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I always appreciate the respect I get from Hays Cooling, Heating & Plumbing because I am an 83 year old widow and retiree living on social security and have had to deal with some not-so-reputable businesses in the past. (Likely because of my age and gender they saw me as an easy mark to make some extra money off of). I have a son-in-law who is an independent contractor and he has "caught" other individuals and companies in the past attempting to sell me parts and services I do not need as well as charging me for "new" parts that were actually used. But Hays Cooling, Heating & Plumbing has always been on the "up and up" with me. It is nice to know that such companies who extoll the virtues of honesty and hard work still exist. I want to keep him! After doing a thorough job servicing our two a/c units, he cleaned off our roof of the accumulated pine needles that were baked and packed into the corners and crevices of the roof when I told him we were too old to do roof climbing any more and they'd just have to stay there. I think it was a lot bigger job than he at first thought, but he went far beyond the call of duty to help us out. Bless him! You won't find a nicer person or a more thoughtful one anywhere.
