Had a problem with our AC unit and called on Hays to have it inspected. Mike S came out and was one of the best at customer service that I have dealt with. Very respectful, knowledgeable, professional and personable. I want to thank Branden and Rey, the installers for doing such a awesome job. They worked straight through installing a new heater/air conditioner, which took them 9 hours. The heat at my office wasn't coming on, and my employees and customers were cold! When I first called Hays, they said they couldn't get out until the next afternoon so I was going to check around to see if I could get someone out sooner. Hays called back a few minutes later to say a cancellation had opened up a time that same afternoon. It turns out they still weren't able to make it that afternoon, but Mike was at my office promptly at 7:00 the next morning. He was police and professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem and clearly outlined my options. I have had the best experiences with this company for 5 years. They always call when I need a checkup on my system. They always work within my busy schedule to arrive when I am able to be home for a check. Austin came over today and was very friendly and professional. Hays Cooling came out yesterday to install 2 new A/C units in our home. Our team was Bob, Ray, & Dan, plus another crew at some points. These guys were great! Called to have my heater serviced just as the cooler temperatures began to really kick in. Jerry S. was our technician and he was prompt to get to work when he arrived. He arrived on time for the appointment. He did the general servicing of the unit as well as pointing out that the system could use an overhaul. Wasn't pushing any upgrades to service that day but pointed out it would be good to get done. Now when the summer months roll around, I will definitely consider doing the overhaul and using Hay's. Manny came to our house within an hour of contacting Hays cooling and heating. He was very knowledgable and professional. He thoroughly explained what was wrong with our heating system and fixed the issue that day by bypassing the broken control board. He informed us that we would need a new control board and said he would be able to give us an estimate before we needed to commit to anything. Hays Cooling and Heating sent out servceman "Manny" on Dec 30th, he was prompt and courteous. He was able to diagnose and repair our Goodman Package heating unit in less than an hour. Even though he did not have the "exact" replacement parts he was able to subsitute and get the unit working as this was a holiday weekend "factory" replacements would be several days to acquire and it was Cold!. I am a REALTOR and I always recommend Hays to my clients, whether its for an inspection, repairs or a new system. My elderly parents had another company come out and that company said they needed about $400 plus in repairs. I called Hays and the repair was about $80......I trust them and their work! I had DR Horton build our home 7 years ago. Chas Roberts did the initial install on our units. We had Orangutan doing our PM's twice a year for the past 7 years. Had my heater startup done by Orangutan, they found the initial installation was done by Chas backward. Orangutan has missed it for 61/2 years, What had they been doing and what have I been paying for. Chas missed it from the get-go. I had Chas come out, they reversed their install and said I was good-to-go. After they had left I started up my unit, heard a boom come from my attic. Contacted Orangutan to check it out. They found my wiring was burned up. Someone, wont say who, missed replacing a purge screw in my gas valve. A gas pocket was forming around the valve, and igniting in my attic. The gas bubble fried my wiring and could have burned down my home. Nice catch by Chas and Orangutan. I called Hays to get a bid on a replacement, sort of ruled out both of the aforementioned companies to replace my unit. Bill from Hays came out, confirmed the fireball forming in my attic. Contracted Hays for a completely new unit to be installed. Bob and Brandon came out to install the new unit. They worked through their lunch break to complete the job. Bob sat me down, went through what had been done, and invited me into the attic to go through what had been done up there. A week later Manny came out to double check the install and check for proper installation. I can not tell you how much better I have been sleeping at night not hearing the sonic boom in the attic. I will need to replace my 4 ton probably in the next few years and will contract Hays once again to complete the replacement. I think too many companies have lost the quality of service Hays has still working to their advantage. I highly, highly recommend using Hays and would highly recommend to stay far away from the other companies mentioned. This seems like B.S., but I have not at all exaggerated any of my experience with these companies, good and bad. Hays gets my business and recommendations going forward. Quality quality quality. 5 Star company and technicians. Was let down by my Home Warranty provider HSA (which by the way is useless) for the last time, and decided to go with some real professionals. I called and got an appointment within 4 hours, Manny came out and quickly identified the issues, went out of his way to try to talk with Home Warranty and finally got the issues fixed in no time, now we can stay warm for the winter.
