Had hays out to do a tune up on our AC units. They were supposed to come in the afternoon but called in the morning to see if I was available for them to come early. Good deal to get everything tuned up, very helpful and friendly tech. Will definitely use them again should I need help!

After reading other Yelp reviews, I decided to try out Hays Cooling and Heating - as I needed a "once over" on my AC unit before summer started. Michael spent ample time in my attic (repaired a few small items), took pictures of the problem areas and explained what he did to resolve them. Later he checked out my outdoor unit, washed out the coils and provided further explanations about how my unit is running overall. I was impresses at the time Michael took to thoroughly inspect the attic and duct areas and finally the AC unit. I couldn't be more pleased with the service. Now I see why this company has received such positive feedback.

Very pleased with the service we received today from Hays. Frank came out to our home to perform a AC Tune-up. He did a great job. Very thorough with his inspection. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Nice friendly guy. We will definitely be calling Hays in the future for all our AC and heating tuneups and repairs.

Frank was my technician and he did a great job. He was early for my appointment which was appreciated. He took his time to explain all of what he was checking on both my ac units. He answered all my questions so I understood what repairs were needed. I would definitely use Hays AC again and request Frank to come back again.

When I called with my a/c problem, I was told they would get a service tech asap. Mike came and quickly assessed the problem and fixed it right then and there. Hays has always been very good to me and I appreciate them very much. I would recommend them to anyone who has either heating or a/c problems.

In the past we had Hayes install a new AC unit for home and this time we called to schedule a regular check-up and to help us control the humidity as we just started to use the AC this year. We only needed to wait two days until the visit and Thad was great! Very personable, calm, respectfully, and made us feel very comfortable. He listened carefully to our concerns and was able to solve the problem while checking the unit. Great team and would highly recommend them.

Live in Phoenix long enough, and you come to expect the worst when it comes to unreliable or shady contractors or businesses. I was dreading the visit, certain that it would result in me being set back by a huge amount of money. And yet, I did have hope because the Yelp reviews I read were impressive. Even the few less-than-stellar ones seemed to be related mostly to logistics or genuine misunderstandings- and most impressive to me was the fact that it seemed these were quickly addressed by Hays ownership in order to make things right. Business done the right way! In my case, I had a leaking AC due to the original contractors (not sure who they were since my house was a flip- but I'm sure it wasn't Hays since based on my visit they seem to be meticulous in their work) forgetting to drill holes to allow the evap. coils' primary pan to flow into the primary drain pipe! Ugh. The other issue was that the secondary pan had a hole in it (I already knew this since I tested it), and furthermore, there was no 'switch' installed to turn off the ac when the primary pan overflowed! What really worried me though was this: when I peeked into the primary pan, I saw a bunch of rust at the bottom of it. I had assumed that the pan was metal because the secondary pan was metal. The bad thing about metal is that often times the pan is not even detachable from the evap. coils, so one ends up having to pay for the entire evap. a-frame replacement! At least this was what my research yielded. But since I couldn't pry the cover off all the way, I couldn't really tell. Fortunately, Michael P., who was wonderful, checked everything out and gave me the great news: not only was the primary pan plastic (and not metal as I had assumed) but it's still in good condition and can be cleaned out! He also can drill the needed holes, replace the secondary pan with a hole in it, and install the 'switch' to trigger the ac turnoff if water overflow happens! Yay! Sorry to be long-winded, but my point is, I was vulnerable due to my lack of knowledge, but instead of Michael (and by extension, Hays) taking advantage of me, they gave me the truth. I'm so grateful for that, and that's why I'm taking time out to praise this business, because this is a rarity. I also would like to take time to praise Michael in particular, who was awesome! Not only is he very knowledgeable, but very thorough and meticulous. And he was super patient with answering all of my questions- he's a great listener! But he's also excellent at communicating what's happening in a way that makes it easy for a layperson like myself to understand. Finally, he was super-friendly and put me very much at ease from the moment he arrived to the end of his visit. Hays is very lucky indeed to have him on the front lines as a representative. I also want to praise the two support staff Lori and Whitney who scheduled everything and have been a pleasure to speak with over the phone- both professional, warm, and helpful. If any of my friends or acquaintances in Coronado Historic District or elsewhere in Phoenix ask for recommendations for AC repair (Summer is Coming!) or tune-up I will wholeheartedly recommend Hays! My A/C Compressor went out! Bill the Sales Consultant came out and gave me an estimate on replacing the unit ! He was very knowledgable ,and sold me on the lifetime instalation waranty and Trane unit! As a Real Estate Agent I provide excellent service and follow up! Hays proved to be Excellent in their service and follow up. Very impressed with Steve the service Manager who actually came out with Mike on a service call! Frank was wonderful! I called earlier in the week for a Sat service appointment and I was surprised they could accommodate me so quickly. I received a reminder call the night before and Frank called 30 min prior to arriving. He was knowledgeable, changed air filters for me and made sure to educate me in the issues with my AC unit. He was my technician last spring as well. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend Hays.

Our A/C went out Thursday evening so I called Hays Cooling and Heating because having used them in the past. The tech who came was Frank who went to work immediately and located the problem as the capacitor. He had one, changed it out and then told me how to do maintenance myself. Within an hour all was done and I was able to use a credit card right there with the square app feature. Frank is a very good tech and Hays should keep him around.

First of all, look no further than Hays for your AC/Heat needs. After two years and 4 technicians trouble shooting the issues and quotes ranging from 3K to 11k - finally we have Jim Clark from Hays. This man knows his business. He literally found the issue in 15 minutes! Not only that, he taught me a few quick tricks for cleaning out the register filter!!! Jim Clark is ethical, knowledgeable and has a moral compass! I am serious when I said that 4 technicians have looked at our AC unit which is only 5 years old and in good working condition. We were told we needed new duct work - a new unit (9k), a duct cleaning and aerospray (3K)... we were offered payment plans!!! We had already put in new windows and sprayed R-40 insulation in the attic and still were having trouble with one side of the house not heating or cooling. Jim found new insulation in our vents, crawled up to the attic and found a very obvious 16" duct that used to be hooked to a swamp cooler - Simone had taped it off and the cover had blown off - we have been hearing and cooling our attic for 2 years!!! He sealed up the duct and was on his way! I can't say enough about his man - I literally hugged him when he left!
