Thanks to Bill S and the entire Hays team. They came and replaced my 12 year old Carrier unit with a trane two stage and also my 40 gallon water heater with a 55. Everybody was professional and treated the house as if it was their own. Even with temperatures in the attic being over 100 degrees the entire team never skipped a beat and had the entire system replaced in a day. So far im Saving about 100-125 dollars a month on my electric during the last few peak months. Thx Hays!

I had an emergency need for AC in Glendale, Az, and Thad delivered! I found Hays Cooling and Heating on Yelp, and within one hour Thad was on site evaluating and solving the issue. While he was there he asked if I wanted the AC compressor checked out, and he found and showed me bare wires. He was able to repair the wires and even discussed the frequency of the AC filter changes. In addition to being timely, the price was reasonable for short notice weekend work... I will definitely call them for future needs.

I am still waiting for a follow up call as to how the install went along with any paperwork I need. (i.e. manual, warranty info, etc). I spoke with Bill and he assured me someone would call but I have yet to hear from anyone. Also, someone did a diagnostic of our other units and I received no follow up from that visit as well...

The office staff was very helpful and cheerful to help me find a time that fit my schedule. Professionalism was top-shelf, I felt like I was taken care of. Travis, the technician/guru arrived on time and was very honest and worked very well to help me find a solution same day. I am in the process of selling my property and had an AC issue come up during inspection for a drain line leak. They were able to set up a time for the next day after I called and actually came earlier in the day than I was expecting (30 minute call ahead, I was able to fit it in my schedule and did not ask about the original timeframe). Mike came out and notice that water was leaking because the drain line was not draining. He cut the pipe, flushed the line, and put it all back together in about 20 minutes. They do charge a trip charge that does not go towards the repair. Overall, it seemed a little more expensive than necessary, but I was satisfied with the work.

My AC stopped blowing cold air, and being early evening on a Sunday, I didn't know what to expect. My son found Hays on Yelp and suggested I call them. The after hours rep was very professional and assured me someone would call me to let me know when I could expect him to arrive. Mike called me within 30-40 minutes and said he could be at my house within an hour. He arrived earlier and had my AC up and running before 7:00pm. Mike is efficient, professional and courteous. I won't hesitate to contact Hays again for any future AC/heating needs. Very impressed!

I didn't have air conditioning Saturday evening, I called Hays 24 hours number and withing an hour a Mike the technician called and told me that he couldn't come that evening, but he will be at our house at 11AM on Sunday morning. He was there Sunday as promised and fixed the problem. I have never had such efficient service before during summer heat season. We are very pleased overall with their service. As a matter of fact I will start using their plumbing service as a result.

When our AC went out, Lori found a way to get Mike here earlier than first promised. When Mike arrived, he found the problem quickly and checked to make sure he was right. An hour later, our system cooled the house again and the work space was cleaner and neater than when he arrived. You can't ask for better.

My experience with Hays Cooling and Heating was exceptional. I noticed their positive reviews on many sites and my experience was just as positive. Both Lori who scheduled my service call and my technician Mike S were very professional and efficient...both 10s! On site, Mike diagnosed and fixed the problem with my A/C in a matter of minutes. Prior to the visit, Lori hassent me information about their P.M. program. I was able to review the services with Mike and I reenrolled based on this first experience. I feel like I have peace of mind with Hays...Highly recommended.

We had been battling a chattering contactor in our condenser for over 2 months. Our previous service provider changed one part and then another, each time charging outrageous "flat fees" and 500% and up for parts -- never locating the root cause of the problem. Mike quickly identified the actual cause of the problem to be a shorted pressure switch. He obtained the part, under warranty and installed it quickly on his second visit. The diagnosis and repair charges were very reasonable. We highly recommend Mike and Hays Cooling & Heating.

I first called "Simply the Best" when my AC stopped last week. The technician came right out, diagnosed the problem, explaining to me the blower motor was no longer operable. He said it was too old to be replaced and that I needed a new system. He put me in touch with a salesman who came out and quoted me $5500 for a new AC unit (my condo is 600 sq ft). I asked if he would subtract 10%, as specified in the service agreement I have with Simply the Best. His response: "I'm already reducing the cost by $1,000; that's far more than 10%." I asked about options. He said there are none; he had only one system that fit my condo. I decided to think things over. Two days later the system resumed working just like before: nice cold air, good strong blower. I decided to get a second opinion and called Hays. Thad came out and checked my blower: took amps draws, tested the capacitor and motor temp. All good. Then he checked out the thermostat, found bare wires and loose connections, which he adjusted and tightened. The difference between Hays and Simply the Best? Day and night.

Thad, Bob and Rey were all very nice, respectful and worked quickly and efficiently but we had a brand new system installed and you all have had to come back three times to get it to work properly with at least one more visit left to finish getting it set up correctly. It has been very inconvenient for my family. You have done your best to solve the issues but I'd say this install has been pretty much botched since I don't believe it should take 4 follow up visits to get it working right.

I would have called but I am sure that the owners are off on Sunday. Friday was my 4th service call on our brand new unit. The unit was installed in February. I noticed two weeks ago after returning from vacation that my upstairs back rooms where running warm and the thermostat was failing to hold the temperate in the late afternoon and would run for hours on end. I called and got an appointment with Thad. He was polite and informative. He found that the wiring had broken completely off the connection and therefore the unit was not running the cool air just the fan. It was assumed that would solve the problem. Two days later, I noticed that the unit was still failing to reach the set temp of 77 degrees and was literally running non-stop from 3pm to 8pm. I called and they got Thad back out the next day. Again he was professional and happy to help. Upon that visit, he noticed that there was a gap in the back of the unit and the duct work. He also noticed that some of it was pinched off by a 2x4. Basically from the sound of it I am paying to air-condition my attic. So I was told the installers would have to come back. Upon this news, I called and spoke with a manager, who at that time told me that he would extend my service contract for an extra year and would have a manager come out with the installers on Friday to supervise that the job was done correctly. The installers came out on Friday and worked on the unit for three hours. Again they were nice and professional when it came to fixing the duct work. However, I asked them if this would resolve the issue with thermostat not holding the temperature in the afternoon and was told "maybe, possibly." Now I can't imagine that any one of these two gentleman were a manager because I would assume that a manager knowing the struggles we were having with a brand new unit would provide a more sound answer than possibly. I specifically asked the manager I spoke with on the phone how would I know it was done right this time and that was why they were going to have a supervisory come out to supervise the job. Well, come Friday afternoon I literally watched the thermostat bounce back and forth between 77 degrees and 79 degrees for an hour and then it just sat at 79 degrees and ran until 8 at night. I called the office again and this time spoke with Stacia who had Bill call me back. I explained the situation and they said they would send someone out that afternoon. At 4:30 Travis came to my door. While nice, I found it a bit disconcerting that he took a phone call to talk about a motor while having me show him my unit. He worked on it for about 15 minutes and told me that he had to add Freon. I asked why the installers did not do this and was told that installers are installers. Ok, but then shouldn't someone else have come with them to check that? He mentioned that it is common with two stories that more Freon has to be added because the unit was only designed to go 25 feet and it was really having to reach 40 feet. I asked how long it should take for the unit to catch up now that the Freon was added and was assured that it should do so in an hour. When asked what if it didn't what would that mean. I was told that it would mean there was a leak. I asked why we were not checking for a leak and he told me that he did not see one. Well at 8, I finally just turned the unit off that had reach the set 77 degrees but was still running. The unit stopped. I turned it back off and it stayed off for a few minutes and then came back on. But from that point on it would turn on and off. I checked on it today and yet again it was sitting at 79 running non-stop on a day that was below 100 degrees outside. I am pretty much at my wits end. While I do appreciate the willingness to work with me and to get people out here as soon as possible, I am having a hard time trusting that the work being done will be done correctly or resolve the issue. I feel that when one makes a $14,000 purchase it should work correctly and that realistically I should have no reason to contact you for the next 5 to 7 years for anything other than a check-up. My bill is looking to be the most expensive bill we have had in our 7 years including when we had our 11 year old units. As an educator, it is disheartening knowing I spent half of one year's salary to improve my energy use and lower our energy bill and neither is happening. At this point I need some sort of insurance that you will make this right or I need to bring in a third party to have them assess the situation and tell me what is really going on. I have to return to work tomorrow so the best way to reach me will be by my cell phone which you have the number. I hope to hear from you soon.
