Have had nothing but great experiences thus far. Will not hesitate to contact Erick Smock in the future. Matt is awesome by the way! He took the time to explain things and he came out at 9 PM on a Friday night to help us out.

Called at 2:37 on a Friday afternoon and by 5:48 they had my AC Repaired. It was 97 degree’s that day in August and I called 9 other places that said 2 weeks to Monday afternoon at the earliest. Kevin was great.
Professional had his shoe covers on and a Mask.

We came back from vacation to a broken AC unit. Made a call to Eric Smock Heating & Air Conditioning and Dan came out just a few hours later to assess the situation. He was professional, polite and straightforward with the problem and costs associated (which were way cheaper than Frederick Air!). We called on a Sunday evening with loud banging noises from our compressor. Doug came out on Monday afternoon, diagnosed the problem being the circuit card. No air that night or the next morning, while waiting for the board replacement. Doug was back out early Tuesday afternoon. Replaced the board and we had air. Showed up within 40 mins and got the issue fixed. Dough was professional. He replaced capacitor. Other then the price( Capacitor $248 Additional service cost $108= $356) , i am happy with the service provided. Giving 3 stars only because of the price.

My A/C broke over the weekend, and I called at 10:30 Monday morning to see if someone could come out and see what was wrong. On Tuesday morning Mr. Smock returned my call from the previous evening. The same morning Scott came in and provided me with an estimate and the terms of contract. They also had the brand I was looking for. I chose this company against other estimates, hoping for the best.

Our AC started making a loud humming noise by the fan and stopped blowing cold air. This happened on Friday evening. The next morning, Saturday, I was told by a neighbor to call Eric Smock, which I did. I left my info with a woman who told me I’d get a call back, which I did, in under an hour. I spoke to their on-call tech, Dan, who then came over a little more than an hour later. He was here for a little over 2 hours, replaced a bad fan motor & we again have AC! Dan was polite, friendly, professional and obviously very competent. This is a company I recommend very highly. I will certainly be using them again for any heat or AC issues. Dan C. 07/31/21 |

First things first.... I was floored when I called concerning a noise on a working AC unit to have someone available to come out 8am the next morning. I expected that the sky would need to be falling to get service that fast. In my situation the technician very quickly was able to isolate the noise to the fan assembly in my external compressor unit. He was able to clearly explain the situation and demonstrate that the fan was not spinning true to center but starting to wobble (after 21 years of use I can't blame the fan for starting to go bad). My options were clearly explained ranging from a entire system replacement (did I mention that my system is 21 year old with a 10 year design life span?) to the relatively low cost option of replacing just the fan in a no pressure way. I opted to roll the dice for the lower cost option of replacing the fan in hopes to get another couple of years out of a system that doesn't owe me anything. When the time comes to replace the system (which hopefully is years away but I know is sooner than I would like) I will definitely have these guys on the short list for quotes. Kevin M. 07/23/21 |

Representative who took initial call to set up the appointment was polite and explained our options (regular house call or maintenance contract). The service was excellent. Jim Wollam was the technician and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He diagnosed the problem immediately and explained everything to me on fixing the issue. He was also very helpful in providing me helpful tips on maintaining and diagnosing problems with the AC.

Outstanding company. Called w AC outage. It's 16 years old. We called this morning and they promised to make it by this afternoon. Found the problem, had the parts it needed and the service and prices were great. The tech was outstanding,fast and a top notch mechanical Hvac Technician. We just had our regular summer A/C checkup on our Trane system installed by Eric Smock several years ago. New system installed about a year ago but coil developed a leak and lost freon, i.e. no cooling. Dan C was professional, courteous and explained exactly what the issue was with our upstairs air conditioning system. He removed the excess coolant that had been added by another company which caused our system to stop working. He also replaced valve caps, one was missing.
