I called on Sunday morning and was given a time of between 2-4 Pm to chaeck out a 2ndary drain in the basement which was plugged...They called arund 4 Pm and was told the plumber was running late but should be there around 4:30 PM approx the time he arrived and took an hour and 1/2 to get the drain unplugged. Steve did a good job and it is working fine again, as that is where my Humidifier drains into when the heater comes on during the Winter... Your company installed my hot water heater and hooked the humidifier to the hot water pipe, which I was told would be better than cold water... however, every time the heater kickes on it uses 1/2 to a gallon of water and so I'm having 2nd thoughts and some day hope to switch it back to the cold water, also it would not kick my hot water heater on so much (not that it hurts it but we all know the more it is used the sooner it will go out again...) Thanks for the quick service and was hoping to get a bigger discount, as i am a senior citizen on a fixed income, retired military person of 21 years, member of KCs and low income bracket. Service was prompt, polite, professional and comprehensive, including little extras that were not part of the original deal. The technician (Matt) was very knowledgeable, efficient and competent in his work as well as explanations of all material parts and operational procedures. The company was also very accommodating to our needs and even bumped us up in line after a cancellation from another customer. All of our questions and concerns were answered thoroughly and requests for information were replied to promptly and courteously. Overall, this was perhaps the best experience I have ever had in dealing with a home repair contractor and I will definitely call them back for any and all related service needs in the future. Jimmy N arrived at our home in a timely manner. He was friendly and very respectful of our home. He ask me to go along w/ the inspection so that he may explain as we go along of any concerns to be watchful for, as well as any issues that may need to be address for repair. I really appreciate that the " Job Options" were broken down into prices , job descriptions and a payment option. Seeing it in print I could pick what I could do financially .
Jimmy N never shy away from the many questions I had, and offered ways to keep our home safe and energy efficient. Service, profesionalismo,courteousness of techs was outstanding. Your prices are outrageous (eg: over $300.00 per hr to replace pressure regulator????). $360+ to repaid toilet what all I had to do was tighten screw 1/2 turn??? I cannot consciously recommend you under those circumstances. 12/03/13 |

We have had Brothers do our plumbing and heating work exclusively for 3 decades. Recently Tony replaced a hot water heater for us which required significant modifications to our plumbing and space in order to do the installation. From our initial contact with the scheduler to the work completed by the technician, the staff at Brothers goes out of their way to please us. They are courteous, efficient and proficient. The technicians are prompt, in fact were running ahead of schedule and were able to come early; after the scheduler confirmed with us that it was okay to come ahead of our scheduled time. Tony also cleaned up the area where he worked so that it was tidy upon his departure. This work was accomplished to the same superior standard all of our work has been done to over the 3 decades of our relationship. If I could offer a negative number for Courteous and respectful service: I would provide a minus. Your previous staff has always been truly fantastic. This guy took every question I had as some some sort of personal challenge, and he was quite a bit snippy.
Also- your 6- questions are too self serving. Add a few about cost and value. Your first work with me was the best I've ever had. The guy stayed late into the night to make sure everything was done. The last two times, the quotes for the follow-up work were ridiculously high, and the experience felt rather scammy. I had no problem with finding others to completed the follow-up work as much less cost. I know... you are probably saying I don't understand your business and costs--- Well I do! That fact that I was quoted $450 to replace a brass 1/2" ball valve is insulting. If you pay your guy's commissions for sales... Since we have owned this house in Erie, we have used Brother's Plumbing and Heating for all of our Plumbing and Heating needs including annual maintenance of our A/C unit, a fan replacement for our heater, installation of a sump pump and most recently replacement of a broken outside faucet (yep, I left the hose on - it froze and burst). In each occasion, dispatch quickly noted the issue and we had a technician out to replace the faucet within 40 minutes. I've been a customer for 7 years..a single mom. My house is in contract..i spent $1000 to have heat/water set for the winter just a few weeks ago…the HO inspection saw that filters weren't changed. Only to find out..thats FINE with you--if you have the filters, they'll change them. I have been a customer for 7 years..A SINGLE MOM…you never said you didn't change filters. ..BOTH sensors on two units for completely different usage heat units went out --EXACACT SAME TIME?? I"m a single mom….. and my 'attic' unit (yes-its a pain to get up into) did not even TURN ON when the HO inspection was there. Did not even turn on… i just had a $1000 service call the week prior. I have no doubt there will be no comments back to me from you. For seven years --i can only imagine the 'work' that has been done that didn't need it….and all the things that your service people just didn't feel like doing.. like changing filters..--I, of course, did approve all the work…. what do i know..I'm a single mom…i cannot fool around with heat and hot water… i'll approve anything. I had NO IDEA my filters were never being changed. That's horrible I do not live like that. I am so sick over this. Absolutly sick

We've had Brothers out for several emergencies that never happen at a convenient time and they are always professional, responsive and we appreciate their work. A few months ago we had a service call to reroute some PVC in our air conditioner and we thought the price was a bit high but we were so relieved to end the water occurring in our basement, we let it go. Recently I contacted them online and they came out again checked the project and verified that it was charged incorrectly. We were then issued a refund. That's impressive in my book and we appreciate their willingness to look into our complaint. I used Brothers' electricians due to a trusted friend and I was not disappointed. Justin Nokovich showed up promptly, was professional and yet personal. He answered all my questions no matter how dumb they were and was patient. His assistant was also professional. I think Brothers' should clone both of them and send them out. My only "complaint" was that I couldn't them sooner, but I understand now that they have a limited electrical dept. I've read many of their reviews and find that a lot of people find them overpriced...that may or may not be...but I'll pay the freight if all their techs are like Justin and Mike!
