Michael and Gary did a great job replacing a major drain pipe in our home. The pipe had cracked, and water was leaking in our basement. Once they identified the problem they quickly cut and replaced the pipe. Both were great about explaining the process and cost. They made sure that everything was cleaned up when they were done. On Friday August 8, 2014 we contacted Brothers, Plumbing, Heating and Electric because our air conditioner was not working properly. Charles was dispatched to our home. He was very professional and extremely knowledgeable in diagnosing the problem. He was very thorough explaining the issue, possible cause, and remedy. With much regret he informed us that the unit needed to be replaced. He called the office to schedule an appointment and Brothers was able to do the work on the following day. We scheduled our appointment for Sunday August 10th. Daniel and James were the technicians dispatched to our home. They were prompt, polite, and very knowledgeable in explaining the entire process to us. I am very pleased with the level of professionalism, courtesy, and honesty of the employees of Brothers Plumbing Heating and Electric. After being told by another company that indeed they would not be able to come until the next day on a "1st priority" call, I called Brother's. He was at my door in less than 1/2 an hour! When you have a waterfall from the ceiling in your basement (I had gotten the water off before he came) when you come home from work you don't want to wait another day - miss work - have no water! Brian was brave enough to deal with a difficult plumbing issue that include ridiculously difficult access. He moved our plumbing to a more accessible location and got us back up and running within a few hours. We had 3 other plumbers who wouldn't return our calls after they saw the challenge. My water heater went out and I called and got it replaced that night. As I have said every time someone calls me about the service, I don't know how Brothers finds so many nice people. Did excellent work getting my sprinkler system back up and running yesterday. He took the time to find and fix all the leaks, install a new manifold and valves. He then tested everything and then showed me how to operate it. Fantastic work Mike!

Our garbage disposal died after less than 5-years. It was installed by the builder and was a very cheap model. We called Brothers on Sunday and made an appointment for the next day. Michael arrived on time and was very helpful in explaining our options. He installed a 3/4 horsepower replacement with a 10 year warranty. The job was done quickly and neatly. I am very disappointed. I was told by a Service Tech, and he was training a Sales Rep., that I needed a new furnace. The unit was oversized for the home. The Tech spent over an hour with the furnace mostly adjusting the pressure. 2 days later I had another company give me a quote for replacement. There was nothing wrong with the furnace. It worked as designed. It needed more air flow to the burner. The new Tech added a vent to the side of the unit and certified for $385. He was there for less time than the Brothers Tech. 07/28/14 |

I hired Brothers to inspect and perform routine maintenance on my furnace and air conditioning. They performed these tasks very professionally and in my estimation, at a high level of quality. They were considerate and explained all aspects of the work they performed and the outcome of their inspection. There were no surprises; they did exactly what I had expected, for a very reasonable cost. I have used Brothers several times over approximately 12 years and have always been extremely pleased. I just recently bought my first house, and though it passed inspection well enough, a few problems were never acknowledged. One such problem was the constant dripping of nearly all of my faucets. Upon closer inspection from Jimmy N. at brothers plumbing, we found the root of the problem to be the overall water pressure coming into my home, unregulated, and blowing out the seals in my bathroom and kitchen. At a somewhat lofty price, Jimmy was able to fix the faucets, add a pressure gauge onto my water intake pipe, an expansion tank onto my water heater, and some easy water shut off valves. He was quick and precise, and even worked on the Fourth of July to get it done. We really appreciated his reliability, aptitude, and precision. We are excited to see how much less water we waste!

We called and asked to have someone come out to install a new attic fan for us (we don't currently have one) and I was very clear about that when scheduling. The technicians who showed up were there to try and fix an attic fan, not install one - they couldn't even give us a quote. We then got a quote to have one installed the price was a good 3 - 4 times higher than any competitor - it was just laughable.
Although we've been very happy with Brother's service in the past, the absurdly high price of the quote will make us think twice before using Brother's in the future. It's made us question if we've been horrifically overcharged for the services they provided in the past. 07/03/14 |
