When our original 22 year old Electric AC and Gas Furnace system refused to awaken for the 2013 cooling season, Blue Dot service technician John Beardsley explained our options and advised that it was probably time to consider a new system (the original upstairs heat pump system had been replaced by Blue Dot in 2008). We found John to be patient, sympathetic and knowledgeable without trying to push us into an unnecessary major investment. Our experience with John was quite enjoyable, as he currently lives in the town we grew up in. John made some suggestions as to the system we might wish to consider, and then arranged for Blue Dot sales consultant Lou Kopp to visit us the very next morning. Lou was likewise patient and extremely knowledgeable, providing us with competitive options and offering suggestions to meet all of our concerns. In addition to agreeing on a Carrier Infinity AC and gas furnace system, we decided to replace an aging water heater (located in the same space) with a higher capacity 75 gallon unit. Lou was able to provide a bit of flexibility and consideration in the package pricing, which was appreciated. Amazingly, he was able to schedule the install for the very next morning. The installation crew, Dan Grammer, Ramon Rivera, and Ray, arrived promptly on Thursday morning and were all three very likeable guys who ended up staying all day, until near 7, fully engaged in the tasks at hand and always respectful of the property and occupants. It was obvious that they had collaborated on many installations together, as their work was coordinated, logical and efficient. While the installation of the HVAC system went amazingly smoothly for such a complicated job, the water heater presented a few unavoidable issues, and instead of excuses and whining, the team led by Dan provided and executed innovative solutions. Without reservation, we’d highly recommend this team of perfectionists, who obviously take pride in their work and the finished product. We’ve been customers of Blue Dot for nearly 20 years, going back to its days as Suburban Service. It is experiences such as the above that keep us as loyal customers. Well done Blue Dot!

I've had Blue Dot here twice this week. Both times I was thrilled with the technicians. They were polite, courteous, clean (NO dirt was brought in on their shoes), had a sense of humor and made sure my cats didn't escape to the great outdoors. My techs were Jeff M, Calvin M., and Jack K. And they deserve to be recognized for their expertise and professionalism. It is because of servicemen like them that I've been with Blue Dot since 1984 (back then it was Suburban Service).

I had my air conditioners serviced on Tuesday. The very best tech I have ever had came ready to work. He very politely asked to see where the units were located and where the thermostats were. He came ready with shoe covers out of respect for my home. He was very thorough and knowledgable. He used the hose to clean the units outside. I have never had anyone do that before. Two representatives from Blue Dot checked my system during the routine Spring maintenance visit today. They came just in time because the weather is getting much warmer, and unknown to us, our AC system had a refrigerant leak. They were able to detect the problem, locate the leak, and fix it quickly. When I scheduled the appointment, the operator told me they would arrive between 10am-5pm and that they would call ahead. They did call ahead, and actually arrived at 9am.

Matt and Shane installed a new geothermal heat pump and water heater for us. Everyone was extremely nice and professional and took care to make sure everything was working correctly, answer our questions, and clean everything up before leaving. Installation seemed to be problem free other than the difficulty of getting things in and out of our basement. Over a week later, everything is working great. Thanks!

just had my Spring maintenance check done by Thomas L. He did a thorough job of inspecting the equipment which included cleaning the coils, making sure the drain line was open and explained to me how I could change the washable filter I have for the pleated ones. He was professional and friendly and, as usual, one of the best that Blue Dot sends to my home. I have been a loyal customer for many years and am glad to remain so. Thanks Thomas!

the install guys were friendly, professional and efficient. it took 8 hours or so but I already knew that. they did everything possible to not get the house dirty by bringing everything in thru a crawl space even though I told them that they could bring it thru the house. Only downside were two things. One was that they should have ran a new condensation line from the humidifier pump to the drain (it caused a leak that another tech had to come out to replace a couple of days later) and second was that they could have sealed the duct work a bit better (I did this later on my own). Overall it was a great job done by really good guys.

Tom Lyons deserves two recomendations in one. Because of the layout of the house I have 3 systems. He came out twice to do maintenance. Both times he did an exceptional job! He is knowledgeable, friendly, detail-oriented. It is a breathe of fresh ait to know that I don't have to worry about the maintenance of the systems because he treats each customer's house like a family member's. Darren Robinson is an outstanding technician. He takes his time and explains any issues that the system technician. A few months ago Darren came out to do the maintenance on our furnace. He found 7 cracks in the heat exchanger. He saved our lives. He came out today on 3/27/13 and checked out our air conditioner. He recommended installing surge protectors. He is very personable and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Darren.

I have had HVAC contracts with Blue Dot since 2003 and have always been satisfied with the service but I specifically requested Darren because I was so impressed with him when he serviced my furnace last fall. On Friday, while inspecting the vents, he determined that the UV unit installed several years ago was not in the optimal place and he moved the unit. He went over the inspection results with me and allowed me to make an informed decision on replacing a part . He also explained the benefits of installing a surge protector on my air conditioner and a whole house humidifier and left information for me to review. Based on the verbal and written information he provided, I will definitely be installing the humidifier in the fall. Darren is the consummate professional and an outstanding representative.

Walter (?skip) and his associate arrived promptly and worked diligently to install the water heater. They were respectful of my home and appeared knowledgeable and explained the heater setting before leaving. They removed all "trash" and left my home neat. Just a note about the first rating I tried to leave. I won't be doing that again--it was not easy and took quite some time to 'set up' and required that I set up another account just to leave a rating.
