Had a valve replaced in my Hot Water heater and before that my whole A/C & Furnace; the valve was a surprise and Keith D. was great. He had a tough job getting the old valve out and a tougher one getting the fittings and new valve in place but he kept at it and did a great job considering the age of the old unit (21 yrs). I shopped around when looking to get a replacement heat pump. I also read up on the different brands, and checked out reviews on Angie's List. Blue Dot beat out my existing service provider with the value of the deal they proposed. I think I got a good deal on the new system. But that's just one side of the deal. One of the things I read everywhere I checked was that it almost does not matter which brand you get (assuming you are comparing similar systems) what really matters - and is much more variable is the quality of the install. I specifically discussed this with the sales person, so they knew it was an important factor to me. The team they sent for my install did not disappoint. Sometimes, you can tell pretty quickly when someone shows up at your door if they are going to do a good job. This was the impression I got with Keith K's team. Matt and Taylor arrived on time and started installing my new air conditioning unit right away. They were so quiet that the only time I was reminded that they were here was when they used a drill or other tool. They worked the entire time they were here and finished ahead of time. Matt showed me the work that had been done, answered my questions, had me sign the papers and he was on his way. I am very happy with all the people I have worked with at BlueDot of MD. Had a recurring "communication problem" between my outdoor unit and the thermostat on my new (less than 8 months old) AC unit last week...after a couple visits by Blue Dot, Jeff M was dispatched Friday night about 5pm to replace the compressor - at about 7 it experienced a loud pop and stopped. Rather than giving up and telling us someone will have to come out during normal business hours, Jeff stayed and worked hard tracking down the issue. At a little before 10pm he had to make a trip to Home Depot for a part and even requested them to stay open so he buy it to fix our unit. He stayed until after midnight running thermostat wire and checking the system and cleaning the outside unit's coils (under trees). We really appreciated him staying and putting in another complete work day Friday night so that we would not have to be without AC over the weekend and have to make another appointment to be home. I've used Blue Dot Services for my heat pump needs for years. They've installed two heat pumps and air handlers in my house a few years ago. The systems have worked great. The maintenance service from Blue Dot has been excellent. Recently my 17 year old water heater began to leak. A call to the Blue Dot offices resulted on a Sunday afternoon resulted in a service technician arriving mid day on Monday. By Tuesday early afternoon, my new water heater was installed. Adam B. did a great job of inspecting the condition of my old water heater, advising me on the different types of replacements and sizes available. He worked with the Blue Dot offices to get me a great deal on a top of the line water heater. Adam worked to fit me into his schedule on Tuesday and arrived promptly. He took extra care of my home, moving the old water heater out and installing the new one. He gave me a great amount of information on how to care for the new unit. The Blue Dot team from the first contact was most professional. Working myself in a customer service driven high end specialty department store, I set my standards fairly high when evaluating customer service and the quality of a company that I choose to do business with. The Blue Dot Company were professional from start to finish. The service was completed in a timely manner, they worked neatly and organized, and were highly skillied and knowledgable.
