BBB is a good place to start a conversation with a company that is being dishonest, price gouging, and or unethical. Yet, I feel that the BBB is not showing the public or properly grading the companies who have plethora complaints against them. In particular, one company that I worked with that has many many many recent complaints against them on the BBB site is still receiving a grade of a B-. I think any company with this many complaints should be in the C- to D range.

You were absolutely wonderful until you said “the BBB has determined that the business made a good faith effort to answer the complaint." That shows me that you did not read my rebuttal carefully enough. It also shows me that you have not read the complaints against Dish Network on your own website. Dish’s response did NOT address the issue in my rebuttal dated 1/12/2021. Dish did NOT explain why the chargeback letter dated July 9, 2020 has a minus sign in front of the number, -108.33, but the chargeback letter dated April 10, 2020 does NOT. You closed the complaint before I got an explanation for that. That isn’t fair. I have been dealing with Dish since 3/05/2020, and not once did Dish make a good faith effort to refund my family’s money. It took them nine (9) months to refund it. They refused to issue refunds until they started receiving letters from various State Attorneys General writing to Dish on my behalf. Does that sound like a good faith effort to you? They lied to me, to you and to eight State Attorneys General for seven months, all in an effort to steal from families of the deceased. If you decide that the complaint is not going to be resolved and you are not going to pursue it any further, then say that, but DO NOT SAY THAT DISH NETWORK acted in good faith. That is insulting.

At the end of November an analyst of a Century Link advocacy group called me, and 2-3 times I talked to him about the situation. He gave me 2 credits, but we came to a conclusion that the situation isn't solved and he promised to call me again after he was planning to talk to his supervisor. He disappeared and never called me again. Of course I cancelled the previous services and now I have a new monthly payment, way less then I had before, but the problem isn't solved. I insisted and still insisting on a bigger credit. Who do I complain (or talk to) now? Who is going to check all the amounts of money they charged me and I paid them? I think that Century Link representative was supposed to call me and figure out the problem I had with them. Aren't they interested in satisfied customers, taking in consideration that I've been their customer for more then 20 years?

Again the Better Business Bureau was able to help get my problem rectified. I can't thank them enough. When you think you've tried everything within your power to have your issue resolved and keep running in to dead ends - turn to the Better Business Bureau. You'll be amazed at what they can do.

I didn't receive any correspondence until yesterday 1/19/21 and I filed my complaint 11/24/20 regarding my complaint. The only thing that was mentioned was BBB tried to contact the company twice but was unable to reach them. Nothing about a letter or any other type of correspondence that could have been sent out. The only thing mentioned was BBB would put them in their files as a company with a complaint against them. I think a letter could have been sent to the company regarding the complaint. Thank you

I had an issue with Lumen Technologies (Century Link) when I had to return one of their brand new modems. 'Their policy is "If you buy it your own it." They didn't send back "my" modem and they never refunded its cost. When I contacted the Better Business Bureau with my complaint, They sent a letter on my behalf. It did nothing to resolve my complaint, but the bureau did nothing further. The experience was disappointing.

BBB did nothing to help with my dispute. The merchant kept repeating their last reply and BBB just kept sending them to me without even looking at them evidently. When I indicated again that i was not satisfied with the reply of the merchant, BBB just closed my complaint! They said "the business’s response addressed the issues outlined in your complaint," but this was not true at all. The business had totally ignored the issues I raised in my complaint. Bottom line: BBB was totally useless, in fact, I suspect biased in favor of the business. I wouldn't recommend this BBB (Denver) to anyone for anything!

I have used the BBB on serveral different occassions due to foul practices within certain Businesses. The resolution has almost always been a positive one. I would recommend using the BBB if you feel wronged by a company or their practices. I want to thank thr BBB for their assistance and their backing of a complaint and seeing it through to the end

My first and hopefully last experience I had with the BBB was awesome. Within 48 hours of placing my report, I received a phone call from the corporate headquarters of Rise Broadband and the issue was taken care of immediately. Thank you BBB for your prompt assistance.

I had a conflict with Western Union who was holding my money order hostage for 6 months and was giving me the runaround having different supervisors tell me different BS. So I got a hold of BBB and they interacted with both Western Union and I in a matter of days if not a week, and because of this interaction I received a money order within a couple of days. Even though Western Union wrote the wrong name on the check, I would totally recommend BBB for everybody if they have a problem with a business. They are the best mediators and investigator I have ever met and the great thing about BBB is that they keep in constant communication with you either through emails or through the third party. I was very pleased with the efforts of the BBB, Colorado/Denver Branch, in getting my ongoing issues resolved with WOW Cable. I was not getting any positive response from WOW despite four months of phone calls and correspondence. I am relieved to finally have this issue resolved in my favor thanks 100% to the timely efforts and assistance from the BBB. Thank you!

I recently had a very frustrating and infuriating experience in dealing with WideOpenWest Finance (aka WOW Cable) wherein I had cancelled my cable/internet service with them as I was moving out of WOW's service area. As instructed by WOW, I shipped via Fed Ex all of my cable equipment back to their Equipment Returns Warehouse in Charlotte, NC. Shortly thereafter WOW began billing me $775 for cable equipment they said was never returned. I sent them the Fed Ex delivery proof with signature of receipt by a WOW employee. They continued to ignore me, saying they could not find my returned equipment while they continued to bill me the $775 for the next several months. WOW then turned my account over to a collection agency. I was infuriated, needless to say. I did not know where else to turn except to the BBB, so I opened a file with them and was served by the BBB's office Denver, CO. The BBB Accreditation Team and, in particular, my assigned field service agent, who goes by the initials BT, got in contact with WOW; and within less than a week WOW coincidentally was able to locate my returned equipment within their warehouse. The collection agency action was halted, and WOW then not only removed the $775 off my bill but also sent me a debit card for the credit balance remaining on my account of $83.14 as of my cancellation date. I am convinced this would have never occurred had I continued trying to resolve this by myself. It was only after the BBB got involved that I got any positive resolution of my cable account with WOW. I am deeply appreciative to the BBB's Denver Accreditation Team for their efforts in getting this issue resolved for me. WOW Cable is a horribly run company and I am amazed they continue to stay in business when they treat their long-term customers in this fashion. While doing my research on the company, I ran across a Facebook page entitled "WOW Sucks" where unhappy customers have posted their complaints and frustrations against WOW. I had to chuckle as I read the many posts. Apparently, I am not the only WOW customer who has gone through similar frustration in trying to deal with WOW!

I posted a complaint about a business that I have not heard back from and now I have not heard back from the BBB. The only communication I have received is from the BBB stating that they received my complaint and will try to communicate with the business. I have. not been kept up to date on progress, if there is any. I will connect BBB again and hope they will do better this time.
