Hughesnet is Predator company. They use Double bill tactics and with its Partner Dish they use switch and bait data plans. The first thirty days they use a different plan then once they lock the person in they turn the meter speed up. The fact BBB has HUghesnet as an APLUS is borderline criminal.

I think the bbb could have used stronger language and been more persistent with the vendor similar to a bill collector in getting the customers point of view across. I think businesses just give a pat answer and thats that according to the bbb, you guys are a joke and would get more satisfaction from social media.

In my particular case, within 12 hours of filing the complaint, I final received a response from the company (2-10 Home Warranty); no doubt because of the involvement of BBB. Nonetheless, given the initial response from 2-10, I wanted to give them an opportunity to honor their commitment. However, since the BBB process only gives me 5 days to adjudicate the claim, by the time I realized I was not getting results from 2-10, my initial compliant filed with 2-10 had essentially expired (defaulting to resolved). Suggestion: Maybe to improve this process, you can implement an interim stage and a final resolution stage to capture the full spectrum. But I do thank you for the service you are providing. I have no doubt in my mind that this company would not have even entertained my claim without the involvement of BBB.

My experiences with BBB have been positive. They helped me resolve conflicts with vendors who billed me for products I didn't receive.

This is my first time get help from this website. It is very helpful for me. This website helped me get my money back from the rental scam. when the apartment cheated my money, I was helpless and I tried to complain to the consumer protection department. The district attorney recommended me to file my complaint on this website. I just filed the complaint for couple days, then I got my money back from the apartment. I will recommend this website to anyone who is the victim of the business. I will file complaint on this website if I have the same issues in the future.

I had a garage door company totally rip me off and refuse to give my money back, I contacted the BBB and money was returned promptly. thank you. My complaints were as follows... "I ordered a garage door from Denver's choice garage doors on 2/3/17, they said they would be out that day; they canceled and said the installers wife was in labor, after they collected $103.15 deposit. They rescheduled they followed Monday 6th in the evening; I called them in the afternoon and asked them when they would be here. They informed me I was not scheduled that day and they were going to call me back. They rescheduled for Thursday the 9th, I told them they needed to be here and gone before 2pm as I had 2 dr. appointments that afternoon, when I called them yet again, they said they have me in the evening... I told them forget it I would find someone else and to give me my deposit back. I've wait, to see if the money was deposited back in my account for a week, it has not been so I called them this afternoon, and was informed I will not get my deposit back as they are charging me a restocking fee... Total Scam, I never canceled the appointments they did. Denver's Choice Garage Doors, LLC 999 18th st, suite 3000 denver, co 80202 303 848- 8481 lic # 1055677 (303) 900-0943 Denver's Choice Garage Doors LLC 1293 W 84th Ave Denver, CO 80260 This is the address I found when I went to the BBB THIS BUSINESS IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED DENVER'S CHOICE GARAGE DOORS LLC I have an invoice as well as phone records."

Natasha did a fantastic job of helping me obtain my refund from the auto dealer. She was very professional, courteous and kept me informed all the way through the process. I honestly believe that if the BBB (and Natasha) were not involved in assisting me, I would have never seen a penny from the dealer.

My claim was closed without being resolved. I had to call to get it reopen and nothing else happen. BBB in my opinion did nothing to resolve the issue. I live in Texas and when you file a complaint here they make phone contact with te consumer to the discuss the issues . I'm pretty sure this company has had several complaints and no one holds them accountable . I have filed a complaint with CFPB

I have used the BBB several times to resolve issues with business. They have done a good job consistently. Unfortunately, Century Link is a different matter. They are unreasonable, and will not admit they are wrong. The BBB did all they could do to assist me.

I resolved the problem before you did but home adviser still charges me on bad leads and there is nothing you or home adviser is going to do about it there are the one with the big money and get it by bad leads that they will no refund

Dish Network charged us a $300 early termination fee, which they had no right to. They refused to reconsider and threatened us with collection and I paid. Then I complained to the BBB where Dish's corporate HQ is located. I had a refund check and a letter of apology in less than a week.

I couldn't get my response to post and the case was closed. It took over a month to get a message back from the business but I get much less time and I couldn't respond online. Please reopen the case so I can respond please.

Nothing was resolved. No corespondence was given. This survey is the 1st I've heard since submission. BBB had the consumers back, now not so sure.

BBB did check into my complaint but was unable to help because the company tefused to be honest and forthcoming. I just hope they gave the company a bad score for being dishonest and uncooperative.

I am with a debt reduction law firm. In regards to my case they failed to provide my case with another payment period, and the 'Creditor's law firm swooped in and garnished my and my Wife's savings account. I tried and tried to communicate with my law firm, and two days before Christmas they told me 'well try to get an exception' I was already way beyond the time frame for it. All I was told from my law firms was 'it is what it is' and after pushing them they only told me they would watch my payment period. So my first thought was to contact the attorney general of Colorado, but they referred my to another agency that never answered the phone. As my first initial thought I contact the BBB, wrote them essentially what I did here, and they contacted me withing approx two days that my claim was accepted and they would contact the Law Firm Three weeks later they called and even thought they made it sound like they were doing me a huge favor I got my $1700 back. I would contact the BBB for any serious situation with public business. Don't hesitate, they don't charge, and give excellent service. Without them I would be out a lot of money.
