We had a clogged shower drain that was backing up yesterday morning. We used Allen's Plumbing in the past and called to see if they could help us once again. Said they would be out at 8:30. They called at 7:30 to verify. Did not show up by 9:00. When I called them, they apologized and sent someone out about 10:00. The serviceman did not seem to know what he was doing, then tried to sell me an expensive water softening system. After a charge of $140, I was no better off. Do not recommend! Service was excellent, annual maintenance check plus installing ADA toilet was done. Jeremiah was knowledgeable & thoughtful to call ahead about picking up the ADA toilet before coming up to Haiku from town. Save me money instead of making 2 trips. Service was neat, clean & toilet was functioning perfectly. I changed the toilet to make it easier for my husband to use the toilet instead of hassling with a high-riser.

Everyone from the office to the plumber are polite and thorough. No work moves ahead without your approval. Scheduling is fast and they give you reminders within an hour or so of the job. Wonderful service. Our hot water hearer began leaking on a Sunday night.....Allen's plumbing (Rose) called me right back and calmed my nerves!!! Richard called to set up and appointment time. Keoki came and assessed the "damage" , gave me an accurate estimante to replace the hot water heater and fix the "jury-rigged" plumbing. He worked tirelessly in very muggy weather to fix our problem and correct all the mistakes from the previous installation. I had a drain problem along with a changing of a down spout in the shower. Allen sent me a "plumber" that said he could not clear the drain and only changed the down spout. He charged me nearly $ 300 and said that they would refund me $145 when the drain people would come and that someone would contact me and clear the drain on Sat., no one called or came and when I called on Mon the customer service told me that they did not know what I was talking about and that no one called. I ended up calling Roto Rooter and in a hour they cleared my drain. 03/28/18 |

Allen's plumbing is the only company I use for my plumbing needs. Just replaced my tile in my main bathroom, they worked with me to remove my toilet, as I replaced the tile and then they returned to reinstall same, Keoki did an awesome job, fast too, their customer service is number one, I recommend them! When I first called I spoke with Richard and was told the diagnostic would cost $50. From a neighbor who also has called Allen's plumbing she was quoted $50 but when the tech came out he charged her $150. When Shane came out he was very courteous and then charged me $150. I paid by credit card so I know that this was the normal cost. Because I liked and was impressed with Shane I went ahead and did the work. He was great in helping me with laying a new water line which is approximately 700 ft from the meter to our home. Which crosses a river and goes through heavy brush and trees. I'm happy with the job. Allens Plumbing was the best plumbing company I called. Called all the others and they wanted to speak to the owner of the house in order to come and fix the problem. That was frustrating.
