We had a kind of unique situation. The drain valve for our fish pond was not operating correctly. We called Allens plumbing on a Sunday afternoon to schedule a repair appointment. The answering service took our information, and passed it on to a after hours dispatcher. We received the call back within 30 minutes. I explained the situation to the dispatcher, and she arranged for a repair person to come and access the repair. The dispatcher was very sympathetic, even if it was a Sunday. The secheduled appointment was for the following Monday morning, 0830 to 1000 hours. Randy arrived shortly after 8:30 am. He was courteous and friendly. I showed him the fish pond,and explained my concerns. I really didn't want to drain the water, and have to remove the fish. Randy understood, and offered to inspect the valve first. After inspecting the valve,he found a quick and simple solution. He was able to repair the valve handle without any replacement parts necessary. His solution showed a professional solution without costly replacement and labor charges. Most other repair companies would have offered a more costly, and labor intensive solution. We were so impressed with his attitude, and renewed our membership with Allen's for three years. If you have a home or living space older than 10 years, you will eventually need plumbing assistance. Richard called me to let me know that Allens Plumbing does not install heaters on the weekend. But that is when I had my appointment. He said he would call me back to let me know. He never did call me back so I was kind of shocked when I saw Tim and Tim. I'm glad we installed a new heater cuz the other one was very old but it did not take care of the initial issue that I am still having with water pressure. Tim said he thinks he knows what he can be done and I'm hoping this is true because this will be the 4th time summer from Allens Plumbing has been to my house to try to correct my water pressure. When our toilet was gushing clear water from underneath when flushed, I knew things were serious. I called Allen’s at 0200hrs and Randy was at our home at 0920hrs. Everyone was professional and courteous. Daniel was on time and had things done in less than an hour. Only critique would be that I didn't receive a confirmatory reply to my attempt at emailing photos of my plumbing situation, in spite of asking for that in the email. Allen's Plumbing has done great work for me as a Contractor. They are very responsive and professional. I have a swimming pool with pipes that are leaking. They used there camera to find the leak and then a 3 coat epoxy lining of the 2" PVC pipe. This firm was extremely helpful in sending me a technician at short notice. I was very satisfied with technician Randy. I was notified when he would be arriving. We had a little difficulty locating the main faucets for switching off the water to the house. My house is a 1952 build! The main hot and cold supply points were located in different places.
