My serviceman arrive in a timely fashion and was able to diagnose the issue within minutes. Since I already had to pay the service fee, he still looked at the unit to confirm. He also provided feedback on the unit, the setup of the house for cooling, and possible alternatives for the future. I have used universe two years ago to install a brand new gas boiler and everything went well. Yesterday, Joe F, the tech was a nice guy however when I was stranded and had a broken unit once again after him leaving my house only 9 hours later and I kept attempting to have a rep from universe come to my house on a Sunday I got zero call backs even when I stated I have a two week old newborn and have no where to go with these hot temperatures. I finally was able to find a local vendor to take care and correct what universe could not diagnose. I will never use or let anyone of my family or friends use them due to their lack of knowledge and ability to get back to their stranded clients. I absolutely regret choosing them to come out to service my central air unit. Never again! 08/19/18 |

Joe H was an excellent plumber, He was here at 12:50 for a 1 to 5 window, He did his job fast and clean, He also gave me an estimate for a leaking pipe which I have to set an appointment up, I thought the whole experience with Joe H worked out very well. We had our gas to oil conversion done 3 years ago by Universe and it has been a pleasure dealing with them. From their office employees to their service employees, nothing but top notch friendly, efficient service. We recommend them all the time to our friends and family. Barney, who helped us before, came today to service our system and was on time and efficient as well as friendly and knowledgable . We have also had plumbing work done and everyone was great, especially Jay who installed fixtures in our bathrooms. We have used Universe for many years. But our experience today was terrible. My central a/c unit stopped working, a unit Universe has serviced for at least 10 years. There was a capacitor that needed to be replaced, a part which cost Universe exactly $88.61. The service call is $125. So at most this repair should cost around $200. But we were told to pay $500 to have it installed. I couldn’t imagine a more unreasonable business practice from a company we have used many times over at least a decade. We are not used to being raped this way by a company we have been loyal to for this many years.

I contracted to have ductless ac install on June 5, 2018. I was looking to cool the first floor of my home. Salesman was nice and I went with his suggestion. He stated I could use on l larger unit instead of two smaller. Another appointment with a scope guy waa needed. The day of this appointment waa a total contradiction to the salesmans appointment. Either this company should schedule these two together or scrap the salesman. Needeles to say we had major issues with communication due to m6 work schedule and this company changing the appointment time and not notifying me on two occasions. I find this unacceptable. Taylor is rude and lied stating someone wiuld contact me but several times I called without any solution. I would never do business with this company. 08/11/18 |
