We had problems with 2 toilets in our house. Nick M. came, diagnosed the problems and gave us a few options, explaining each in detail. When we agreed on one, he came the next day to do the project. We were told by Universe that parts for my 4 year old Samsung ref. (ice maker fan and defrost coil) would take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive, not great news in the middle of the summer. Well, we waited 6 weeks for them. Universe not aware of part shortages or supply data? Or, Samsung producing inferior appliances? take your pick. Oh, the fan that failed on the icemaker a $5.00 part, it was mounted to the ice maker mechanism and couldn't be changed alone??? Total cost was over $500.00 Crazy!!!! Ill never buy another Samsung, and Universe Home Service nothing special. 08/29/18 |

From the beginning of my experience with Universe Home Services in been a pleasant one. My ductless AC system was installed last April in one day by a team of young and talented technicians (sorry for forgetting your names guys). In August I requested service and Rich H. and Tom W. came in time for an appointment to adjust a minor issue with condenser’s mounting brackets. Nick and Shawn were both very professional and did outstanding work. We are very pleased with the work they did. We are in a very difficult situation having to pay for work to be done over again but when Nick told us that Shawn had been doing this work twice as long and he and assured us they would do what was right. Nick in our opinion demonstrated great strength of character and integrity in making that statement and not seeing it as diminishing his ability and we agree. I observed Shawn mentoring Nick at one point in the elbow work of the basement and Nick was receptive of the help and assistance. I also want to give a shout out to Shawn's dad for being available by phone to give him counsel as well. There being in our home just felt right and that is most important to us - the TRUST, and INTEGRITY was evident. We were in a difficult situation. Nick came in with the sensitivity and understanding we needed because we were mistreated and were having to pay twice. He brought Shawn with him to do the job. He told us upfront, "Shawn has been doing this twice as long as I have." "You're in good hands and we are going to correct the problem." and They did! I have nothing to say but good things about Nick who sold us on
UNIVERSE and has the strength and integrity of character to not feel intimidated by acknowledging that while I am good and competent in my craft, there is someone who knows more than me. What sold me on UNIVERSE was Nick WROTE down the quote and what it was he was needing to do. Both Nick and Shawn were very professional and engaging. Shout out to Shawn's father who was just a phone call away as well. Thank you sir, for being available. There is much more work to be done on this 100 year old house and I see no reason not to call Nick again in the future. I wish the best for you Shawn on your new position and I sincerely thank you for coming back with Nick on day two to finish the job. After returning from a two week vacation with a load of laundry our GE gas dryer failed to work (no heat due to broken igniter.). Called Universe who quickly sceduled Ron E. for the repair - he showed up on time with the necessary part. Rob was completely familiar with my dryer model and and associated problems. He confirmed the problem and was about to replace the part when he noticed that the door switch was broken - something that happened during the disassembly process. He assumed ownership of the new problem, ordered the part and promised to return the following day. True to his word the dryer was promptly fixed the next day.
As an existing Universe customer I am used to great customer service when I place a service call as well as excellent and competent technicians that follow up - Rob E. was a fine example of this.
