We had our hot water heater start leaking in the middle of the night and needed it to be replaced immediately. Tipping Hat sent Chris H****** to do the removal and installation of the new heater. Tip of the Hat to Tipping Hat! Whenever I have this level of great service I feel the need to share my experience to make sure these guys get the props they deserve. Jordan and Alfonzo did a fantastic job today moving several pipes and roughing in a bathroom in my unfinished basement. There were a lot of tiny details that really needed to be followed in order to make this successful. Jordan checked in periodically to make sure everything was perfect as they went through a fairly complicated to do list. I felt reassured that they were getting exactly what I needed done because they took the time to truly understand the end goals. Alfonzo did an awesome job busting up the concrete, moving the drains for the toilet and shower, and then pouring concrete back in as if it never happened. They also showed me solid teamwork that started with Jay really assessing the tasks at hand and coming up with very creative and efficient solutions that were then carried out by Jordan and Alfonzo. They all worked together to make sure nothing was lost in translation and the end result was perfect. I can strongly recommend Jordan, Alfonzo, Jay and Logan for keeping my project on course, executing the tasks at hand, being professional, and most importantly making it easy to plan together as a team. Tipping Hat has become my go to company for Plumbing. When we had an urgent need, they rearranged to get someone out same day.
For this service, we had a failing water heater. Not as much urgency. There were a week of delays getting it installed, however, all of that was out of the hands of the company. When things lined up to get them onsite, things got done quickly, professionally and with great information on things that we will need to look out for in the future with no pressure to work on those at the moment. A slow drain in the shower turned out to be the sign of my crushed 1941 clay sewer line out of the house. Tipping Hat team was quick to respond and let me look in on the camera scope to see the damage. This resulted in a full dig up and replacement of the old line. This work was completed in 1 day. Truly astonishing. Though the price tag hurt, as is expected with this sort of issue, the financing options that TH provides made it possible for me to have the work done. The team was aboslutely precise and fast. I bought the 10-year parts plan and it definitely worked when I needed the most. My humidifier pump failed and flooded my basement. We chose Tipping Hat after getting estimates from a total of 4 companies. This company clearly stood out above the rest. They installed a new furnace and A/C system for us. They were extremely polite, friendly, professional, clean and did a great job for us in about 8 hours. Michael came to our house initially for the estimate and he was so friendly and very knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and even came out a second time when we had more questions. Tyler and Floyd replaced and installed a new furnace, set-up and installed a new A/C unit, replaced our water heater, installed a humidifier, and took off the swamp cooler from our roof. They were scheduled to arrive at 8:30, Tyler arrived at about 8:15, which I thought was really nice and I appreciated. Sean showed up about an hour to 1.5 hours into the project just to check on how everything was going. He wanted to make sure his guys had what they needed and check if I had any questions, which I thought was great customer service. Tyler and Floyd both did a great job of explaining our new systems to us and helping us get everything set-up. They asked for our input in where we wanted things located. With the current codes, there was concern that the new furnace and water heater did not have enough front access space to meet code. Tyler and Floyd worked very well together on figuring out how to position the units so that we have full access and meet code. They are a great team and worked extremely hard. I have needed to replace my furnace for a while and when my igniter went out a few weeks ago I knew it was time. I also needed a new hot water heater and wanted to get some pricing on a new AC unit as well. I went to Home Advisor and found 3 listings with Tipping Hat being the highest reviewed and with the overall highest customer satisfaction.
From the first contact with Shannon I felt that we were treated fait and with transparent information. I was able to get someone scheduled to come out and look at everything within 24 hours. That's when I met Zach. At this point, Zach was the second HVAC company I had come see me so far, but I noticed a difference in what he said vs. what the other contractor said. Zach really seemed to know what he was doing and did everything possible to be upfront and have a no pressure situation,. He gave me four separate options of ways they could help from the lowest end to the highest end with the top rated efficiency,
From there, we wanted to still have one more company come out to give us advice and a quote. Now here is the reality, Tipping Hat is more expensive than some of the others. In one case, it was double the cost. However, when you break it down it wasn't apples to apples. Also, both of the other companies told me that they could do the work without permits if I wanted and that freaked me out. So we made our decision and after working with Elizabeth and Zach we came to an agreement and decided to move forward with the furnace, hot water heater and AC unit all at once. They were able to come back 2 business days after I requested it.
All of the installers were professional, wore masks and had booties on their feet. They also laid carpet and wood floor protectors out in the areas they were trafficking. Alden, Edwin and Ryan and Zach were all really professional. I may be missing one name or two as well, but if anyone from Tipping Hat is reading this, please know that the whole team was outstanding.
The lifetime warranty that they offer is unlike anything I have ever seen.
Essentially if something goes out on my furnace they will actually replace the entire unit not just a repair. And while it isn't transferable, its with you as long as you own the house.

They kept me informed of very step in the process. They took exceptional steps to protect the tile and carpet in my home during the removal of the old water heater. I have used Tipping Hat before and was pleased with the service. They are also recommended on Dave Logan's referral list. When I called in the afternoon they had a service tech out the same day to access the problem and recommended 3 different price points. I was pleased by the upfront pricing and did not pay any more than the price quoted.
