We had a great experience with Jimi who performed our repiping after a slab leak. He also fixed an outlet leak he discovered. He even crawled into our wall to make repairs. Jimi came to our home on March 29 to investigate a "water intrusion" problem. He was pleasant, efficient, experienced. He found the problem quickly and fixed it. Tub drain was backed up because apparently we have a shared drain in the complex. Paul came and put on shoe covers and went right to assessing the situation. Even though the tub was no longer backed up when he arrived, the residents in the floors above me may have been running the water and the tub started to backfill again. I have never left a review before on any company or service. However after my experience with the guys from Scott English I had to. From the first call for an appointment to the work being completed(hot water leak into the slab plus outside shut off valve) I was so happy my HOA sent them. Brian was my first contact when he came to assess my situation, then William & Steve doing the work were absolutely great. The teamwork they showed made the job shorter than what I was expecting. Brian came to replace the valve the next day when they were done. You should feel very comfortable in calling them because I'm sure all their employees have the same work ethic. I'd like to compliment Jimi on a number of things. First, the most important. Super courteous; very conscious of his initial protection against causing a mess and final cleanup; inspires confidence that you have an experienced plumber working on your house. Secondary attributes that contribute to the pleasing experience of having him do the repairs are a good sense of humor and awareness of pets that are looking for an opportunity to escape the house for an unplanned outing. Finally, The company was terrific about scheduling work as quickly as possible, and then stuck exactly to the promise of arrival times. Professional Matt from this company did a thorough job inspecting my concerns about a leak from our master bathroom shower. He asked lots of questions to fully assess the history of our plumbing, used his experience to come up with the most likely cause, and managed to identify the problem without causing any destruction. What appeared to be a big problem turned out to be a very minor one. He wasn't there to "upsell" and I would use him and Scott English Plumbing again, without hesitation. And he was polite! William came to my house at least 5 years ago to perform plumbing work. I was really impressed. I saved the work order bearing his name and when another plumbing issue arose, I scheduled a plumbing appointment and specifically asked for William C. William C. said he was so impressed with my asking for him to do the work, he honored the estimate he gave me 5 years ago. I was stoked. Scott English Plumbing has done great work for me. Everyone who I have delt with at this company has been professional and dependable. I have a hydronic heating system that is not very common. It has been hard in the past to find someone who understands the system and how to repair it. SEP sent William out to take a look at my system and he was very familiar with it. He did a great job repairing the system and took time to explain how it actually worked and what needed to be fixed. I really appreciated that. A couple months after the repairs were done I was concerned about another issue with the system. I requested William specifically because he was so knowledgeable about the unit and he did a great job before. I needed new valves for my washer hot and cold pipes. I called over the weekend to set an appointment. They do have weekend emergency service, but customer has to pay the weekend rate. I held off to the weekday since it was not an emergency.
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jimi last Monday morning. He is very knowledgeable, nice, humorous, and professional. He did an inspection of my water heater and plumbing around my home. He offered a lot of valuable insight and answered any questions I had. Being the neat and tidy person that I am, he made sure to keep my laundry room clean and spill free from water when he changed the valves. I didn't even have to ask to make sure my home stays clean! He already knew exactly what to do and he will treat your home like it is his. The new valves are so beautiful and works great! My kitchen sink was clogged for over a week. I had my contractor come out and he snaked it up to 20 feet for 2 hours, to no avail. When I got into contact with Scott English Plumbing, they contacted me and scheduled a plumber to come right away. Paul M. was prompt, honest, professional, knowledgeable, and got the clog out in no time. He also checked to see multiple times if the water was going down. After cleaning up and wiping everything down with strong antibacterial wipes, he was on his way. I am so grateful for honest people who know what they are doing. Matt H from Scott English Plumbing came out because I was having problems with my kitchen faucet (low water pressure on the cold side). He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful- able to diagnose it within minutes. At the end of the day, my faucet was still under warranty and I needed to have it replaced. I fully expected him to just tell me to take care of it, and then come back out to replace it... but instead, he called the company himself to handle it so I had one less thing to worry about.

I had never used S.E. Plumbing before, when I had a plumbing leak emergency. Kevin J. came two hours before they said he could be there, which was greatly appreciated! (The first plumber I called said no one could be at my house until the end of the day!) He was able to quickly assess the situation, and gave me one price to fix the immediate leak, and a second almost $500 repair for a frozen/faulty valve. I gave him the OK to do both of the repairs. He went to work outside, and after about an hour, he knocked on my door. He said that he had fixed the leak, and regarding the frozen/faulty valve, he was able to get it open and functioning properly again, so he didn't need to charge me the ~$500 to replace the valve. I was thrilled, but what really struck me was his honesty!!! He was working outside, and had already gotten my OK to replace it, so he could have just gone ahead and replaced it without my knowing that the current valve was salvageable. That says a lot! I have already told my story to family members, and I know that S. E. Plumbing, and specifically Kevin J. will be getting more business referred their way by me!! Kevin J. 02/24/17 |

Service by Will and crew excellent. My back garden overflowed with rain and the water seeped under the house up through the floorboards and walls. I was happy to find this company. Unfortunately, because of the continued rain, work could not be started until the following week. The problem was a capped drainage pipe from back yard to front drains on the street. (Some previous owner or landscape gardner). Will and crew dug trench, removed roots and connected new pipes for drainage. Jimi was good enough to come out in the downpour on the weekend to put pumps in the back yard to drain a little until the work could be started. Besides the mess , the drawback for me is that my insurance denied the claim, "surface water"!! So I'm out many $$ but the drainage had to be fixed in addition to inside clean up and new flooring.
